We had a great time at the Norris Lake Manor, our host was excellent. The pool and lake were perfect. We will be returning for another trip for sure!

Family vacation

House was awesome and great location. Norris Lake is beautiful. Michelle was a great host. House was furnished and decorated very nice. Can’t wait to go back.

WHY

I have four big issues with this listing. 1. I had to contact the manager because when I was ready to cook my steaks on the gas grill there wasn't any gas. Just 2 empty tanks. 2. I was told by the manager to cook them on the house stove. If I want some gas for the grill I was to buy some in town and will be reimbursed for it. 3. The electronic game didn't work and when I told the manager she didn't give an answer. If it's in the description it should work. The kids were disappointed about it. 4. I put some cooked meat in the freezer that was in the garage and it stopped working and my meat got spoiled. This all shouldn't have happened for the price we paid. The house is very clean and nice. Well stocked with utensils. Good luck all and ask more questions about this establishment before renting.

Thanksgiving Thriller

Overall, this property was disappointing for the premium price tag. The listing states bedroom 2 has 1 king bed and 2 child beds. In reality, there was a king bed and access to a single pack 'n play. If I hadn't reached out for clarification ahead of time(because “child beds” were not visible in any photos), we would have had 2 kids sleeping on the floor.The listing also states that toilet paper and towels are provided. While technically true, they provide something they call a "starter kit" which equates to towels for 1 day and seemingly whatever toilet paper was left by the last group. It is worth noting that the towels were about what you'd find at a budget motel. Again, this is not what you'd expect for the premium price.On top of all that, one of my family members had a terrifying experience. When our vehicles were not at the property, as the rest of us had gone into town, some "dock maintenance" workers showed up unannounced (and unbeknownst to the property manager, because I was the one who brought it to their attention). These maintenance people let themselves into the home and rummaged through the entire house before leaving. My family member was alone on the property and hid in a locked bedroom because she feared for her life. The property manager was very defensive if not dismissive of the intrusion. Most of our party ended up leaving early.

Nice property, expected a little more

Let me start by saying this is a very nice property and is wonderful for a large family weekend getaway. The property has a great, well appointed kitchen and plenty of room for a large family. However, we were a little disappointed. Based on the premium price, we expected the property to be maintained better. First, I was a bit taken back by the fact that the overall property did not appear to be very well maintained. The pool was cloudy and looked like it had not been properly treated. The hot tub also had something wrong with the chemicals as everyone was complaining of itching. At first the itching wasn’t a big deal, but now all of us have peeling skin everywhere that touched the hot tub water. This was very disappointing as the pool/hot tub was one of the main reasons we chose this property. A previous guest left in their review that the video game in the bonus room did not work and it still did not work upon our arrival-this should’ve been fixed before we arrived. In the pictures, the dock looks very close to the house, but it is a bit of a hike down to the dock. Also, if you have a boat that has any kind of bimini top or wake tower on it, it will not fit under the covered dock where the lift is and you will need to park your boat on the side of the dock (unless you can fold your top down). Overall we did enjoy the property, but we expected more from this property for the price. I would book this property again assuming the issues listed above were corrected.

Beautiful Property!

Very nice home on a beautiful lake front lot. More than enough room for our 3 families. Everything was great, including communication with the property manager. Would definitely book again!
