Escape to your private tropical paradise at The Happy Mango Hideaway! This charming 2-bedroom, pet-friendly cottage is your perfect retreat in sunny Delray Beach, ideal for holiday travelers, snowbirds, and remote workers seeking sunshine and serenity.

Step into your fully fenced tropical yard, an oasis of relaxation and fun. Your stay features exclusive access to a stunning heated saltwater pool, complete with modern in-water lounge chairs. Unwind on one of two private patios—one shaded by a mango tree, the other by Traveller Palms—and enjoy outdoor meals using the Weber gas grill. An enclosed outdoor shower with hot water and a rain shower head adds a touch of resort-style luxury.

The interior is bright and spacious, with stylish decor and plenty of natural light. The cozy living room includes a queen pull-out couch and a flat-screen Smart TV for movie nights. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a coffee maker, air fryer, dishwasher, and a complete set of cookware and cutlery.

The cottage offers two sleeping quarters with premium mattresses. The main bedroom features a king-sized bed, a dedicated workspace, a Smart TV, and direct access to the bathroom. The second space is a cozy sleeping alcove with two XL twin beds and a privacy curtain. The newly renovated (Oct 2025) spa-style bathroom boasts a sleek walk-in shower and can be conveniently accessed from both the main bedroom and the kitchen.

### Guest Access

You will have private and exclusive access to the entire Happy Mango Hideaway cottage. This includes:

* The heated saltwater pool (for cottage guest use only; the owners do not use it during your stay).
* Two furnished patios and a Weber gas grill.
* A private, enclosed outdoor shower.
* One dedicated parking spot located in the alley behind the cottage.
* A shared laundry shed with a washer and dryer.

### The Neighborhood

Nestled in the sought-after Historic Arts District of Old School Square, our cottage is on the same block as the Delray Beach Historical Society Museum and Gardens. We are proud to offer a safe space that respects diversity and inclusion.

A short walk takes you to the vibrant Atlantic 'The Ave,' famous for its nightlife, shopping, and gourmet cuisine. Foodies will love being just two blocks from Michelin Star chef Akira Back's new restaurant and the French-Vietnamese Le Colonial. The beach is just a quick trip away, and you can jog or cycle along scenic A1A with the ocean breeze in your hair.

### Getting Around

Our prime location makes getting around a breeze. Walk to Atlantic Avenue, or use the three provided bicycles to explore the neighborhood. For longer trips, we are a short drive from Boca Raton, downtown West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Wellington. The property is also conveniently located near PBI Airport and the Brightline® high-speed rail station for easy travel to Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Wonderful stay - highly recommend

My family and I had the most enjoyable experience at this cottage. It was a beautiful home , clean , cozy and in the best location to town. The pool and outside area was like a hidden oasis. On top of that , our host , Desiree was incredibly accommodating. She definitely added to the overall positive experience! This is a must stay!

Close to Everything

Thank you Desiree, our marvelous host for your warm welcome, ongoing responsiveness, and two sweet doggies. Mango Hideaway is a cute and quirky bungalow with kitschy, brightly colored decor, just steps from all of the action. We walked everywhere. The location cannot be beat. Owner lives on the property in her own home and was immediately responsive and available when we needed her. We didn’t use the pool because the weather was cold this week, but it is beautiful to look at, especially at night with its festive colored lights. We appreciated the full kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare meals and snacks. Plenty of towels, toiletries, tp, and even bathrobes and slippers! The beds were very, very comfortable. We all slept well. We appreciated the free parking behind the bungalow. The parking spot is not paved. It is sand which you must walk in each time one gets in and out of the car. The path from the parking to the bungalow, from the bungalow to the pool, and from the bungalow to the laundry room (thank you, Desiree, for letting us use your washer and dryer) while short, is not paved. It is a mix of dirt, grass, and different sized above ground concrete pavers - like stepping stones- which make navigating luggage, a baby in a stroller, a grandma with minor walking issues, and a mom with nice shoes challenging.

Heaven on Earth

I stayed here with my 10 year old daughter and we were so impressed with this property and our wonderful host Desiree. The cottage had everything we needed for the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials. The heated pool was wonderful during the day and captivating at night. We walked to dinner each day and took advantage of the kitchen to make breakfast. The 2 pups put smiles on our face each morning and we chilled in the comfortable living room watching movies at night. The beds are comfortable and we are already checking calendars to come back!

Just what we needed.

The cottage was exactly what i was looking for. Owner was very communicative and accommodating. From the gift basket full of snacks to the suggestions of places to visit, she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very clean and had everything we needed.

Intown Oasis

Surrounded by old growth palm trees and mango trees, this property is truly a tropical vacation hideaway. The cottage lives large with a spacious bedroom and full-size kitchen. We comfortably served dinner for five adults inside before enjoying the outdoor sitting areas and the pool. Desiree provided beach gear and bikes. Once you park your car you might not use it again until you leave. Everything is bikeable or walkable from this location. Added bonus – it’s dog friendly with an actual fenced yard. Desiree is an amazing host, she thought of everything to make our stay complete. We even left with a bag of mangos!

Still in love with the Happy Mango Hideaway!

This was our second visit to the Happy Mango Hideaway. We love our host Desiree, she has all the comforts of home for you inside and out upon arrival. You can truly show up with just your clothes and be set for an amazing vacation in the Delray Beach area. She’s thought of everything from beach totes and floats for your use to a full Keurig coffee carousel and snacks in the kitchen. Relaxing on the patio or by the pool after a day full of activity is such a joy! Being able to walk to all the amazing restaurants in Delray is a huge draw as well. This trip we enjoyed meals at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and DaDa. Both should not be missed! We topped it off with homemade icecream at Sloans Sweet Shop on Atlantic Ave. Super excited to visit again in the future!

Happy Mango Hideaway is a HIT!!

The Happy Mango Hideaway was the perfect location for our family of 4. Our hostess Desiree was so helpful with restaurant ideas, etc. And we loved playing with her fur babies Winston and Chester every morning and evening. Desiree has thought of everything to make your vacation seamless, from stocking the Keurig coffee pods to having bikes and a beach tote available for our use. All you need to pack are your clothes!! The location of the Happy Mango couldn’t be better. Even though we were just steps to the restaurants and shopping along Atlantic Avenue, it felt like we were in a secluded tropical oasis. The pool, patio and landscaping were lovely to partake of. Thanks again Desiree for a lovely stay. We’re looking forward to our next trip in March!

I've been hosting guests since 2018 at my home at the NJ shore. In June 2021, I relocated to Delray Beach and bought a lovely property with a cottage in the Old School Square Historic District in Delray. I updated the cottage and added a heated salt water pool with tanning ledge for my guests to enjoy.

This neighborhood is a historic district with beautiful older homes and lush landscaping. Two blocks to the Avenue, and 2 block to the upscale Ray Hotel. Tennis center is 10 minute walk. Beach is 25 minute walk or 7 minute bike ride.

This is the closest cottage with a pool to the Avenue and tennis center. The serene, private fenced in yard provides you several tranquil patios for you and your furbabies to enjoy. Spend your day lounging by the new heated, salt-water pool, or take a bike ride to the beach. Prepare for your evening using the new outdoor shower. Atlantic Avenue is less than 2 blocks away. The Ray hotel is 1.5 blocks away.
If tennis is your thing, that's 4 blocks away.
