Aloha and welcome to KONA TIPSY TURTLE at Hale Kona Kai #403. This is the absolute destination should you want a relaxing vacation getaway on the Kona coast. The location of this condo complex adds convenience as fun activities and amenities are within walking distance. The condo has central A/C, along with complimentary cable and WiFi, and is located on the 4th floor (top floor) with no one above you, but don't worry this complex has an elevator making for easy steps to your paradise. Hale Kona Kai has assigned covered parking, a heated salt-water swimming pool, and laundry machines on each floor.

If you haven’t yet experienced a Kona sunset in person, you’ll enjoy the front-row seat the lanai offers! Upon entry, you are welcomed with ocean breezes and truly remarkable views. The ocean comes alive with the dolphins and yellow tangs that frequent the area. The turtles (Honu) are definitely regular special guests, in addition to the seasonal whales. The picturesque view from both the lanai and bedroom creates a beautiful setting for great memories.

We pride ourselves on cleanliness and make sure that we pay attention to all the details. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Also, beach gear is available for your use. Hale Kona Kai is a non-smoking complex.

The tipsy turtle is a Kona gem, the condo is decorated with turtles throughout which was adorable. The place was spotless everything and anything you needed was just a 5 min walk away and what a beautiful view. The condo was cooled down for us when we got there which was a big plus for us since we had been traveling all day. The owners did a great job.thank you AJ

Beautifully decorated. Kitchen was the most complete I have experienced. Communication was excellent during pending hurricane. Had an issue with garbage disposal which was resolved immediately. If looking for a cozy, comfortable place with a Hawaiian theme and great view, this is the place.

This property has THE BEST views and it's close to shops & restaurants that you can easily walk to and a pool that's never crowded!! You will see sea turtles and beautiful tropical fish from the balcony everyday and the sunsets are amazing!!! The condo is well-stocked for the beach & for cooking, is thoughtfully updated & decorated (SO well) and just feels like home! You can tell the hosts take great pride in this place and they are the sweetest people- they even left us a fruit basket with chocolate!!JUST BOOK IT!!

Our recent stay at the “Tipsy Turtle”was absolutely exceptional! The direct oceanfront location as well as the top floor accommodations were perfect for our trip.The cleanliness and attention to detail in the unit was impeccable. (and I am picky…lol) The unit had everything we needed to have an incredible stay while on the Big Island, not only while in the unit, but also for adventures to the beach. The communication with the host was prompt and they answered any questions and offered suggestions in a very timely manner. We will definitely be returning soon and we can and cannot say enough good things about booking this property. Mahalo Jenni and Steve for a beautiful stay!

The condo is bright and cheery with a lovely lanai to view the waves, surfers and boats. The kitchen has all the essentials and any appliance you might need. Very clean and well maintained.

Excellent condo directly on the oceanfront. The photos and description are accurate. The hosts were communicative and responsive to any questions. The kitchen was well stocked (no running to the store to get salt and pepper) and the unit was clean. As noted by previous guests, the hosts provide lovely little touches such as a fruit basket and coins for a load of laundry. The complex is very quiet, so I would be hesitant to take young children with me to this location. Highly recommend!

This Condo was absolutely AMAZING! All of the thoughtful details, decor and amenities show the care that the Hosts have for making sure you have a great stay. There is abundance of Kitchen "Accessories" and some Beach Gear, for almost anything you would want to do.This really should be a 4.75 Star rating but that wasn't an option. The only downside to this amazing Condo was the Bedroom. The bed mattress was very uncomfortable with what seemed to be a "Memory Foam" topper that had too much "Memory". Also, there was no way to not have the sunlight coming through the huge window, so it got very bright in the morning once the sun came up.However, I don't think you could find better Hosts and it's in a great location with assigned covered parking and literally right on the Ocean.

Our stay was amazing. The place was Awsome. The views even better. The host was so on top of everything even sending someone to check on us during the crazy storm. The welcoming gifts were amazing. It was a wonderful place to celebrate turning 60. It was super clean and had every kitchen appliance known to man. The extra beach stuff and beach bag and backpack were oboe and beyond. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our 4th stay at Hale Kona Kai but our first stay in this unit and it was by far our favorite! They thought of every thing you could possibly need to have available. They even left fresh fruit, coffee, candy and change for the laundry room if needed. The decor is so fun and the balcony was our favorite place to hang out and watch the sunset. The bed was comfortable and the A/C and celing fans kept the place nice and cool. We will be back for sure!

The unit was very well stocked for any need you may have. It is within walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The view was amazing and the sunsets never disappointed. The host was most generous with their thoughtful gifts to celebrate our anniversary.

Beautiful well-located condo on the ocean with everything we needed!

The unit was a dream! Very walkable location to the downtown shops and restaurants, well-stocked with everything we needed, extremely comfortable and loved hearing the sound of the waves crash on the rocks!

The condo is wonderful, well cared for and very comfortable. January weather is always a gamble and the storms kept the water activities to a minimum, but the location and comfort of the condo made up for it. The surf was high but the whales were close. The spinner dolphins danced daily, the turtles came when they could and the eels were active in the pools. All from the lanai. Well stocked kitchen and extremely nice welcome basket. So nice!

I personally remolded this unit to ensure a beautiful visit upon entry. The attention to detail seamlessly flows from the front door all the way through to the Pacific Ocean horizon. Truly the best kind of "blues"!
