Mi esposa Jennifer y yo elegimos este lugar en Trail River para criar a nuestros hijos debido a su increíble belleza. Trail River Gardens se encuentra a solo 20 minutos de Seward en el corazón de las montañas Chugach en el hermoso río Trail. Desde nuestra cubierta, el río está a solo 50 pies de distancia con el majestuoso Monte Madison como un salto hacia atrás. Hay lagos encima y debajo de nosotros con montañas en todos los lados. Puedes caminar por senderos hasta más lagos de montaña. Si te gusta caminar y observar aves y otros animales salvajes, entonces te encantará aquí en los jardines de Trail River.

Great place on the river

We stayed two nights at the property and enjoyed it very much. The three bedrooms worked perfectly for us and our two adult children. The location was amazing - right on the Trail River. We enjoyed waking up on the river, and on the second morning, saw a bald eagle flying over the river.

Great location right on the river

Great spot to hang out. Nice deck, fire pit and access to the river. The owners live next door and were fun to chat with as well. We enjoyed our stay!

Rustic cabin with great Alaska experience

The quiet location with windows and a deck overlooking the river offered great views and wildlife viewing. The owner, Russ, was very hospitable and provided helpful information about the area. Definitely would stay here again.A great beginning to our Alaska experience!

Beautiful location

Beautiful property with great views! Very convenient location for travel to Seward. Each bedroom has its own bath which was perfect for three couples. Fire pit was awesome to grill steaks for our dinners! Hosts were very friendly and accommodating! Would highly recommend!

Best views in Alaska

Awesome cabin and Host. Everything as advertised. Short drive to Seward even with the road construction. Scenery was breathtaking. Wake up in the morning listening to the river at the base of the mountains.

Excellent Cottage

I rented this cottage with my family and loved it! We filled the cottage with 9 people but having separate rooms and bathrooms still ensured that it was a comfortable stay. The views were amazing with Trail River being right behind the cottage and mountains beyond it. The drive into Seward took about 25 minutes and was very scenic. Overall this was a great place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone looking for some peace and quiet and a real Alaska experience.

sweet place, great location, wonderful hosts

We had an amazing stay at Crown Point. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do on the Kenai Peninsula. The hosts provided many extras such as goodies from their vegetable garden, bear spray (never needed), bug spray (much needed), instant oatmeal, many pantry staples, and views of their gorgeous flower beds. My only constructive criticism would be 1) as mentioned elsewhere the photo of the view from the deck is THEIR deck, not the VRBO view and 2) we didn't really get communication about check in. We just drove up and luckily jennifer happened to be on our deck. Not sure we would've known what to do or walked into the right building if she wouldn't have been there. Their home is on the same property as the VRBO along with several other outbuildings. But the property was super comfortable (think Grandma's best worn in quilts), clean, and well situated. As far as not having a stove - that did provide some challenges but we learned about the induction hot plate halfway through our stay and used it to cook our eggs the rest of the stay. Highly recommend this property!

Comfortable and cozy place with everything we needed. The river view was beautiful. We saw eagles flying down the river as wewere enjoying breakfast.Great location...close to many great hikes.

This place was comfortable. It has three bedrooms with their own bathrooms. No living room area so we had to sit around at the kitchen table after our day out. Also there really was no access to the water for fishing which is the only reason I rented this place. Even though they couldn't fish my husband said this was his favorite place. We did enjoy a fire at the fire pit.

Great view

We stayed here in July. We had a family of six and it was ample room for everybody. The view is amazing. Our kids enjoyed the setting immensely and couldn’t stop talking about it. Everyone enjoyed the setting, and visit.

Cozy cabin

Our family enjoyed the rural setting, three rooms with individual bathrooms and grilling out on the deck. We even saw moose cross the river!

Fabulous location and charming host!

The photos don’t do this justice. It’s beautifully located on the river bank. Very peaceful with a short drive to Seward town.The property was really clean and comfortable.It was lovely to light the fire pit in the evening and cook jacket potatoes and steaks…

Scenic cabin amongst the moose

Clean cabin with plenty of beds and bathrooms with great outdoor space along the river. The only down side was a lack of indoor living area, as the eat-in kitchen was the only indoor common space. Hosts were friendly and generous, sharing staples, offering bear spray and lots of board games & books. Location is convenient to Seward and local attractions.

We had a great stay at Russ's place located on a beautiful river about a half hour outside Seward. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. Although there is no stove (we knew that from the listing), we figured out the hot plate and it was fine for our purposes of cooking breakfast. The rest of the kitchen was well equipped. Russ was very communicative and very nicely agreed to send an item that we accidentally left in one of the rooms. We loved our time there!

We have lived in Alaska for 30 yrs here on beautiful Trail River. We also have a gift store, coffee shop and bakery in Seward.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I built the vacation rental because of the beautiful location. The cottage was originally built in the 1940's and I completely rebuilt it in 1997.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The cottage is located just 50 feet from the river. the view from the deck is no less than spectacular. There are lakes above and below us with mountains on all sides. There are lots of birds and other wildlife around us and many hiking trails.
