Loved the location and the layout of the house. Great stocked kitchen, nice living room, plenty of space for 5 people. It was comfortable to unwind between all the Alaska tours. Would recommend without hesitation.

Peaceful

We absolutely loved our stay. The view out the front window was stunning. Henry was so nice and gave us a few recs for our trip to Seward. It’s a short drive to Seward and the perfect place to stay where you can sit out with a drink and enjoy the view.

Henry wast the Host with the most ! Fire was where we enjoyed our 15th Annual Peninsula Chicks Trip. The kitchen was well equipped, , we ate like Queens .. We highly recommend Everyone to stay here !

We had a wonderful stay at Moose Pass Oasis. The cabin had a true rustic feel while still being very comfortable and well-equipped, with a stocked kitchen, laundry, fireplace, fire pit, plenty of beds, and a TV. The mountain views were absolutely gorgeous. Henry was a great host, he checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly, offered extra firewood, and provided clear, easy-to-follow directions for getting there. Overall, a very pleasant and decent stay!

Such fun!

This was a fabulous cabin for us on our first trip to Alaska. The cabin was easy to find and check-in. The quaint atmosphere inside and outside of the cabin was neat, authentic and practical. It allowed us to enjoy the area without stress. We played some of the games that were in the cabin, slept well, even with the daylight, thanks to the cozy bedrooms. The kitchen was outfitted with what we needed for cooking and leftovers; complete with special coffee! The owner was gracious and we even enjoyed an outside fire while my kiddos ran around in the neatly trimmed side yard. A very special place!

We loved the Moose Pass Oasis. Everything was provided; there was tons of unique character sprinkled all through the house—even the plates, bowls and coffee cups were beautiful. The landscaping all around was gorgeous; Alaskas flowers are huge and healthy. I can’t really think of anything that I did not like. It is right on the Seward highway so the traffic noises are a little loud, but we weren’t in the house very much during the day and it didn’t bother us at night. I highly recommend this property!

It was the perfect place for us. It was cold and rainy every day we were there. There is a great fireplace that we used to warm up and dry all of our gear with after our hiking or fishing adventures. The hosts are kind and quick to respond!

What a great place to stay! The cabin is clean and stocked with everything you need so all you have to do is pull up right to the front door and just relax. The little Moose Pass community is near Seward and we also took a day trip to Hope. There is a great restaurant across the street if you want to partake of that, and plenty of places to walk with your pet if you are bringing your dog on the trip. Our host was immediately available if we had questions about anything, and we had no difficulty at all checking in and out.

Great location! Right in the heart of Moose Pass, quiet and exactly what we needed for our trip. Just 30 minutes north of Seward, made this part of our vacation easy to access the surrounding areas but still enjoy ourselves some privacy. Everything was exactly as described and worked perfectly for our family and young children. 100% would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Beautiful cabin in the perfect location!

Henry was a wonderful host! I can't say enough good things about his cabin. It's in a perfect spot if you're wanting to head to Seward or hike Exit glacier. It's also priced better than most places if you have 6 people. The cabin was well stocked with everything you need. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Not happy with this rental

Although Henry seems to be a nice guy, the house didn't fit our expectations. The place needs to be remodeled and must be clean upon guest arrival. Regarding the location, yes it's not far from Seward but there's nothing (or almost nothing) in Moss Pass.

I'm very sorry the cabin didn't meet your expectations, If you would read the listing you would know exactly what the cabin is what it has and what is in the area for renters, if you were an outdoors person you would find that there are many lakes and trail heads in the the area and that most people appreciate the Alaska experience and stay there for that reason, you can go to Seward and hang with all the tourists or you can go there and get away in Moose Pass at the end of the day. The cabin you so disliked was built in 1931 has survived the 64 earth quake and been remodeled several times, It is a bit of Moose Pass history so it will remain as is, next time you should rent a condo this is Alaska!

We enjoyed the cabin very much. Henry is a wonderful host, the neighbors are great and the town is super cute. I worked out perfect for us traveling in between Seward and Hope.

Unclean house, host is not responsive but good location

We stayed here for 2 nights. We checked-in in the evening and found out that the house was not clean. There were unwashed used glasses in the kitchen sink, a half eaten chocolate on the kitchen counter, and an unfinished icecream in the deep freezer. The floor in the house was dusty. The bed linens were not clean as well. We tried to reach Henry (host) couple of times, but could not reach him. Even left him a text and a Voice mail. He did not respond back. On the next day, got in touch with the neighbor who connected us with Henry. He told us to keep a note in the house of list of things that are not clean, and he will have someone come and clean it up. Nobody showed up! I wish the app alowed me to post few photos of the house. On a positive note, the house is situated at a nice, convenient location - Hardly 30 min from Seward The nearby lake is calm and beautiful. Quick suggestion to the host, please make sure the house is cleaned up before the guest arrives and please try to be courteous about any requests the guest would make. Abhi

Sorry for the things left I looked at what your talking about and yes there were two small glasses left on the counter by the sink, and I did find Ice cream in the freezer so glad it wasn't on the counter as well,my floors are well used but not dusty and the linens have never been left dirty you must be used to silk sheets or something If I recall it was fourth of July and things were crazy then sorry for the stress this must have caused you.

Moose Pass

Henry was an amazing host...he was so helpful and a pleasure to talk with! We really enjoyed our stay and in fact extended a third night! Seward and Moose Pass are beautiful areas...a great place to stay if you don't mind traveling between the two places ....which we did't because the short drive is so beautiful. I would highly recommend staying at Moose Pass ....Henry always responded quickly and always made you feel at home.

Cozy Home

Moose Pass isn't an obvious choice for most people to stay - since its midway between Seward and Anchorage. But that's the only reason why we stayed here. And Henry's place was exactly what our family of 5 needed. The house has a fully-operational kitchen, which was a big help since there aren't many restaurants in the area plus my dad has food allergies, so we could cook while we stayed here. The surrounding area is pretty nice too - for a walk or an evening stroll, if you have the time :) Thanks to Henry for sharing his wonderful home with us.
