Holly Hill, The Thomas Grant Harbison House, is a well known estate near downtown Highlands featuring beautiful grounds, three porches, and the most dreamy beds and bedding. Take a nap on the second floor sleeping porch, get cozy in the downstairs library/media room, or stroll through the secret garden that includes a beautiful fountain. There are so many places to relax and enjoy this special and peaceful place.
* Sleeps 12+ Five bedrooms-four king beds and a bunk room with two queens and a giant beanbag that opens to an xtra queen.

Wonderful location for a family vacation. The grandkids loved the spacious grounds and S’mores by the fire. Plenty of room for all nine of us. Very short ride into downtown Highlands and all the great shops and restaurants.

The property is amazing. And the home is very comfortable. The outside could use so TLC... the outdoor furniture was wore and could be cleaned, otherwise our stay was fantastic.

This is a wonderful house with a wonderful host. Everything was easy from check-in to check-out. There were lots of nice extra touches. Showers were great with plenty of hot water. Outdoor spaces were wonderful. Everything worked well for my husband and myself, and my daughter’s family with two boys. Kids enjoyed the games and corn hole. There were 6 of us total. I would caution anyone renting that needs multiple couples to have separate bathrooms, as there is only one ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms are upstairs. Several bedrooms share one bathroom upstairs with a full bath downstairs. It worked for us because my two grandsons did not care. It is in close proximity to downtown but you must drive as the highway is busy. All in all everyone had a great time.

We had the most wonderful weekend getaway at this Highlands home. I stayed here with a group of my girlfriends, and it was the perfect spot for us to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the mountains. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved drinking coffee on the deck in the mornings and unwinding in the cozy living room at night. The location was ideal—close to town but still peaceful and surrounded by nature. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, which made the entire stay seamless. We’re already talking about coming back because it truly felt like a home away from home.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in Highlands while celebrating my birthday with family. We were 6 adults and 2 babies and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and the beds absolutely lived up to the listing - they were some of the most comfortable we’ve slept in.The home is exactly what you hope for in a mountain getaway—comfortable, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. It felt warm and inviting from the moment we arrived. Being so close to downtown Highlands made it easy to enjoy the restaurants, shops, and everything Main Street has to offer. It was especially convenient with two little ones, allowing us to quickly return to the house whenever we needed.Janet was an outstanding host throughout the entire process. She was responsive and communicative throughout the weekend. My sister-in-law accidentally left behind a pair of shoes. Janet prompt alerted us of this and immediately shipped them back to us which was greatly appreciated. We’ll definitely stay again.

We had such a great stay here. The house is gorgeous, and the grounds are just as beautiful. Everything felt even better than expected. Janet was very communicative and made everything easy, which we really appreciated.The house itself felt comfortable right away—like a place you could actually settle into, not just pass through. We especially loved the kitchen and cooking space. It’s also conveniently located, so getting into town was simple.We’d absolutely stay here again.

Great house for our family to spend Columbus Day in the Highlands area. Slept 8 adults and 4 kids easily. Close to highlands. Nice firepit and outdoor seating to spend time outside. The host was super communicative and made us feel very welcome with a gift upon arrival! Great stay!

Janet, the host was great. Very informative and helpful. The house is really cool and unique. Everyone thought the grounds outside were top notch. The house has so much history. The beds are super comfortable, and the kitchen and dining room are perfect for 8-10 people. 4-5 minutes form town make it a desirable location for sure.

Great older highlands home with a vintage setting and feel. Close to town. Janet, the concierge, was fantastic! Super welcoming and had the house just right for our stay. We will definitely go back!

Charming home nestled in mtns

Our stay in Highlands was delightful over Christmas in this home. Its charm and beautiful grounds made our stay worth the visit. Its proximity close to town made it easy to shop and enjoy what all the Highlands has to offer.
