This property can be booked along with adjacent property Lake Guntersville Fishing Fun https://www.vrbo.com/3925169. Built in 1972, it has an open floor plan with expansive panoramic views of Lake Guntersville .Hardwood floors upstairs, stained concrete floors dstairs. Well equipped, cooks' kitchen with plenty of seating for large groups. Freshly painted, new windows with screens all updated in 2021. Two new HVAC units installed upstairs and downstairs in 2023. Deep water, great for swimming, fishing, or just relaxing on the private dock with one indoor full boat slip and plenty of dock boat parking. Great porches for stargazing and morning coffee. One side of garage available for parking. Closest water to Huntsville, Hampton Cove-Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, 7 miles from downtown Guntersville which has great shopping and restaurants. Please read parking description details found under "Amenities".
Please note: steep driveway and steep lot to the water. There is a spiral staircase between the two floors of the house.

Early check-in/late check-out may be available if reservation schedule allows. Charge for early check-in or late check-out is $75 each.

Large kitchen and living space as shown, nice gathering space. Downstairs was musty smelling. Floor, especially downstairs, had not been swept. A 4- day stay by our large family of 10 needed better kitchen supplies- stainless skillet had no handle. One dishwasher soap pod, 2 trash bags, one dishrag, and 2 kitchen towels were inadequate for our stay. Internet was inadequate for the TV to run, despite attempts by 2 experts in our family. Both gas and charcoal grills were caked and dirty. View of lake is stunning from the house, but the large glass windows were filthy. This is too nice a house to be in this condition. There is a for sale sign on the property, so not sure the owner cares. We enjoyed our family visit and the Huntsville and Guntersville areas so didn’t dwell on the above issues.

Overall this seems to be a popular location. The road is very steep as well as driveway and path to the dock. The stairs are in very bad condition. There were a lot of spiders and webs on the windows as well as in the linen closets. There is no shower toiletries so be sure to bring some. It’s definitely not as clean as some of the rentals I have used in Guntersville. The view to the lake is amazing. The communication from the owner was good. The kitchen sink hot water does not work well but every where else it does. One small quirk if you have folks staying on the lower level: if the master upstairs toilet is flushed it sounds like an alarm going off below. My dad is a very early riser (3am) so we all found that out the hard way.

4th of July

This place was perfect for our group of 12 (3 families with children). We loved the area of the lake as it was a bit calmer than the main channel. The dock was perfect for swimming and relaxing. We brought our own boat and had no problem docking it in the boat slip. Would highly recommend for a big group and the owner was very easy to work with!

Hockey tournament

The place was great. Storm came in and took out electricity from Friday night until Saturday late afternoon. Jim was communicative with it and offered any support with food and other things. Lucky is was a cool few days so not stuck in a hot house. Having access to all the water toys was great and PLENTY of fish to catch. Can't wait until next year....Without the storm.

Enjoyed the lakehouse

We really enjoyed the lake house, especially the Beautiful views of the water. The house was spacious, clean, and had plenty of sleeping spaces. Kitchen was well stocked. Host was easy to communicate with. We had a great weekend!

Great Lake house for a boat

The house is located in HoneyComb on Guntersville, lake, which is an amazing spot. Great dock, and not shallow at all. No low bridges around the house, so almost any boat will make it to the house. House was great felt very homie.

Not as listed, needs a deep clean

The location was perfect. The owner was very responsive and kind. The house was not up to the standard of rental house we have come to expect. The floor was incredibly dirty upon our arrival, the garbage cans were overflowing so we had nowhere to put our garbage, there were barely enough towels for the number of people we had, but the most difficult was the mildew all over the walls in the downstairs bathroom. I have a daughter and son in law who are highly sensitive to mold and we would never have chosen this place if anyone had mentioned a mold issue in the reviews. I understand it’s a lake house, but this was clearly a problem that had not been addressed. The owner brought us more towels and helped with the garbage which we really appreciated.

Magnificent location/Could have been better

The location of this property is sublime, and the access to the lake, while challenging, is good. The dock itself gives good lake access for swimming, kayaking and fishing. The inside of the home smelled musty, and the overall cleanliness of the property leaves much to be desired. Some areas have been updated, but the overall inside is aged, and in many spots are in need of repair. We enjoyed our time, but the property needs a thorough cleaning and better maintenance.

Great View and Location

Had a great stay for a Dads golf trip! Plenty of room and had everything that would be needed for a long weekend stay! Jim was easy to communicate with and we had great nights sitting on the dock with lots of laughs!

New Year's Getaway for Family

Great views, right on the water. Due to the time of year we did not utilze the water or docks, but it is an easy drive to downtown. We had 9 in our party, but there was room for more.

Family vacation

Jim was great about communicating with us. The house was a nice size for our whole family. We had the pleasure of meeting Maria the property manager. She was very personable and made sure we felt welcome and knew where everything was. We would love to go back in the summer and enjoy the lake. The view is amazing!!

A Comforting View

The property is very nice and relaxing. Short walk out back to enjoy fishing or simply sit on the patio and barbecue. Short drive to shop if you prefer larger store's such as walmart. This home has plenty of space for a larger family. Mr. Jim was very accommodating and welcoming. He is very polite and answered allog my questions veru quickly. We can't wait to enjoy the property in the summertime.

Mildew smell

The house is decorated perfect. Plenty of room. Great view. Great boat house. Great location. 2 complaints- (1) Pest control needs to get spider webs off of house, windows, and boat house. (2) A dehumidifier needs to be put upstairs and downstairs. The mildew smell was super bad and hard to breathe that in over the weekend. Especially for people with asthma and 2 people on CPAP’s. The bed sheets and couches always felt damp. That smell was very disappointing and hard to get past.

Wedding Guest Retreat

Our family loved renting this property as well as the one next door during our daughter’s wedding weekend. Jim and his staff went above and beyond - great communication, super clean & comfortable! And the water views are stunning. Having a place to relax & retreat to during a busy weekend was such a blessing. We will definitely rent again.
