Our 2500 Sq. Ft home nestled in the hillside of Santa Ysabel is the perfect retreat to host your large group of family and friends. The home is part of a boutique Hotel on 40 acres with a one-of-a-kind restaurant on the property, Josie’s Hideout Saloon. We are just 18 minutes from Julian and at the heart of popular biking, hiking, and motorcycle riding. Our spacious backyard is the perfect place to BBQ, entertain, or just relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Henshaw & the valley below

Our 5-bedroom "Adobe house" is the crown jewel of San Diego Mountain Lodge, which includes 13 other cabins on the sprawling 40 acre property. This completely private home can comfortably sleep your large group of 12. Our aim is to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for our guests by providing outdoor games (badminton, cornhole, spikeball), with the convenience of one of the best bars in the area, on the property! The area is full of wildlife such as deer, turkey, and many woodland birds. The large patio includes an outdoor dining table, porch swing, fire pit and lounge chairs that are perfect for stargazing or bird watching. We encourage guests to unplug and unwind, but we also offer a 60” TV, Xbox 360 for the kids, and Wi-fi. On the hot summer nights, enjoy ceiling fans in each bedroom, and for the cold nights, the central heater and wood-burning fireplace will keep the house nice and warm. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, views of the lake, and a 42" flat screen. We are minutes from Lake Henshaw which offers fishing, kayaking, and camping.

The San Diego Mountain Lodge is located in Santa Ysabel, which includes Dudley’s Famous Bakery, Julian Pie Company, Art Gallery, and Santa Ysabel Nature Preserve. The preserve is surrounded by oak woodlands, native grasslands and fields of wildflowers. Set in a beautiful natural landscape of gently rolling hills, hikers, cyclists, and equestrians will enjoy an outdoor adventure within this combined 4,600-acre sanctuary. Discover more than 15 miles of trails through both the East and West Preserves including two loops that traverse through unique habitats – over the river and through the woods! Picnic tables and a rest area are available.

Josie's Hideout Saloon is open from 11 AM -5 PM Friday-Sunday. Live music Saturday, 11:30-3:30 pm. Checkout their page for info on special events.

There is poison oak located on the property, we do our best to clear it out, but please keep your eyes open for it.

Since the Adobe house is in nature, we tend to get a lot of spiders and insects but for the most part, they are not in the house.

We have wifi hotspots in the cabin. The signal is inconsistent at times due to the location and is not reliable for video calling but will allow our guests to Netflix and chill.
