Outstanding Destin Condo - Exactly As Advertised!

My husband, myself, and our 8 year old son stayed for a week end of March on our first visit to Destin. The unit was exactly as described and is absolutely beautifully decorated and well kept with a gorgeous lagoon pool view. The beds were comfortable and I found everything to be very clean and welcoming! The unit has a washer and dryer in it which is a great bonus! The doors to the balcony have voice notifications on them when opened which was great with a young son, plus they are not easy for a small child to open. We also could not hear noise from the pool area unless we had the doors open which we did many nights and even then the music was enjoyable and shuts down at a reasonable time. Lisa has everything covered including basic supplies for the first few days, beach/pool towels, games, a wagon and necessary beach items (chairs, umbrella, toys, pool float) and is extremely friendly and available if needed during the stay. I did not need her as everything was perfect. We enjoyed access to on site food/drinks, and easy walkability to the beach and nearby restaurants. I will say in response to other reviews I have seen related to the Palms of Destin, there is a short walk to the beach and while it does cross a busy highway there are cross walks and it is completely reasonable to do with a family.The parking garage is clean and secure, right in the fence of the property. Definitely recommend this unit!

Just okay!

We just got back from our stay at the Palms of Destin Resort. Lisa was really great with communication and addressed some issues we had at the very beginning of our stay. Some main items were not very clean upon arrival (sheets, rugs)- Lisa was very upset when I talked with her and tried to help the best she could from afar. There are several things that were disappointing (some out of Lisa's control). I felt the resort was not very clean itself- the hallway carpet leading to the room was very stained and looked dirty. The halls/resort smelled like a dull cigarette smoke with freshener spray to cover up the smell. The listing shows there is an indoor pickle-ball court, but it was being renovated. The listing also shares there is a game room, but there is not- there are a few arcade games located in the Bistro restaurant, but not an actual game room. It is also shared that while the resort is across the street from the beach, there is a shuttle that can take you over to the beach at any time. This is not true- since it is considered "off season" currently in Destin, the shuttle only runs on the weekends. I wish we would have known this sooner. The pools were dirty, the splash pad never worked and they even had to shut down the main pool one day while we were there. There were no family things offered as advertised (movies in the courtyard, etc.). I wish I would have known all of these things sooner.

Just what we needed

Lisa made our stay simple and easy. She responded quickly and told us everything we needed know to make our stay go smoothly. The condo at the Palms had everything we needed for the week. My three kids enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, and they made friends from all over the US. The washer and dryer worked well, and we were able to use the beach gear from the condo at the beach. The condo is only a couple of blocks from the beach and any type of restaurant you could imagine. We truly enjoyed our time in Destin and hope to come back and stay again soon!

Very Accommodating

Lisa was very accommodating to our family, which includes a teenager, tween, and toddler. We were able to avoid traveling with a crib, due to the on-site pack and play available for our toddler. We were also able to modify our check in time, which was extremely helpful. Our toddler was able to move around safely, with no safety hazards. The condo itself was clean and well decorated. We traveled with family and the other three units, in the opposite tower, paled in comparison. This will be our go to unit when traveling to Destin. Thank you, Lisa.

Lisa’s property is very clean and well-decorated. The view from the balcony of the pool area and gulf in the distance is great. Lisa is very easy to communicate with, and she responds quickly to any communication you send her. The washer and dryer in the unit is especially nice to have. Overall this is a very nice place to stay at for vacation in Destin.

Great Accomodations

Our family of four really enjoyed the room and had plenty of nearby amenities to keep us busy. The place was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The beach toys and wagon were a life saver and we had a great view of the pool as well. The only downside for us was the beds were hard, but that's coming from a family who loves their pillow top mattresses. I would recommend the room regardless!

Within walking distance to beach

Unit was clean and beds were perfect for us and two older kids, big balcony that overlooked the pool. Beach within walking distance and beach wagon was provided, such a huge help! We used the gym, a bit crowded but nice equipment. Coffee shop on site is adorable! Only suggestion, Need a few throws to cuddle up on couch.

Welcome to our Paradise at the Palms! My husband and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 37 years. We live in Iowa now but have lived in many places throughout our marriage. We bought this beautiful 2nd home at the Palms of Destin in 2021. We love having such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay when we come to visit and we wanted to share it with others to enjoy and we hope you love it as much as we do!!
We are an Air Force family! My husband retired from the Air Force in 2008 (which is why we lived in many different places)but still works on the base as a contractor. Our daughters husband is in the Air Force stationed here in Florida and our son is in the Air National Guard and he is stationed in Omaha, Nebraska.
We love to travel (seems like that is mostly to see our kids these days) but we also love to camp and go boating here in Iowa. We also restore old cars and have 1 each - mine is better but he will tell you that his is! I work for a large insurance corporation- and also manage our condo. I make barn wood signs in what little spare time I have as a hobby - which you will see a couple in the condo that I made specifically for the beach! We are very active and love to have fun and try to enjoy every day to the fullest!

We have put a lot of time and effort into making this a comfortable place for you to call home while you are here in Destin to include a fully equipped kitchen, charging stations, pool and beach towels, beach wagon, various pool and beach toys and Smart TV's.

The Palms of Destin has a coffee shop on site. It is a very nice spot to gather, relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee or Danish with family and friends in a fun atmosphere. It also has a full restaurant and an indoor/outdoor sports bar with nightly entertainment - many live entertainers, karaoke, and bingo nights during peak season. Check the schedule upon arrival. There are also TV's to watch your favorite sports while enjoying great food and a nice beverage. The outdoor patio offers cornhole and other outdoor games for you to enjoy during your stay. It is located just off of the pool deck so you can either walk up and order your food and beverage OR you can order right from your lounge chair next to the pool and it will be brought out to you. They also have room service and will bring your order to your room.
If you did not rent a car - no problem - there are so many things right here on site for you to do! AND if you forgot something, there is a Walmart and other shopping within walking distance!

We would like to offer a 10% Military Discount off of the nightly rate (not the VRBO fees, cleaning fee, taxes, or resort fees since we do not have control over those). If you have a valid active-duty military ID or a valid retiree military ID - Send an inquiry ahead of instant booking and let us know so that we can thank you for your service.

There are parking spots close to the entrance, cart corrals at every entrance and on every level of the parking garage for you to use while loading and unloading upon arrival and then once you are all moved in, you will park in the parking garage.

Although this resort is not directly on the beach it is within walking distance or there is a complimentary air-conditioned shuttle to take you there daily during peak season. Check schedules upon arrival during non-peak for schedule. Centrally located in Destin and within walking distance of Walmart and other shopping and restaurants. 3.6 mi = Harbor Walk, 6.3 miles = Outlets, 1.5 miles = Big Kahuna Waterpark, .5 miles = Henderson State Park

Many people who have been here will post good and bad things that they encountered during their stay and also provide tips and tricks for others that are planning on coming to the area.
