Powder Paradise at Purgatory Ski Resort (Purgatory Townhomes #101) is a comfortable 2‑bed, 2‑bath ground‑level condo just a short walk from the ski lift and the lively Purgatory Plaza, where you’ll find restaurants, shops, and gear rentals. With its convenient location and thoughtful amenities—including a private ski locker—this condo makes it easy to maximize your time on the mountain. There is coin‑operated laundry in the building.

Inside, the home features an open living space with a cozy wood‑burning fireplace, and a full kitchen and dining area perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Step out onto the private elevated balcony to enjoy fresh mountain air and views of the surrounding neighborhood and peaks. With its warm atmosphere and unbeatable proximity to the lifts, Power Paradise is an ideal home base for your Purgatory adventure.

PURGATORY SKI MOUNTAIN LOCATION: This condo is located at Purgatory Ski Resort in the San Juan Mountains. Purgatory is 25 minutes north of downtown Durango and is known as a family-friendly ski resort. It has 105 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,500 skiable acres and 12 lift. The resort boasts an average annual snowfall of 260 inches. Purgatory Resort offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families, including ski lessons, childcare and a variety of restaurants. It is a more affordable option that some of the other ski resorts in Colorado, has a good mix of terrain for all ability levels, and stunning views. If you're looking for a resort that offers something for everyone, staying at this condo at Purgatory is a great option!

SUMMER AT PURGATORY: Purgatory boasts a bike park accessible by chair lift, an alpine slide, mountain coaster, and treasure panning. There are also hiking trails, jeep tours, and watercraft rentals on Twilight Lake. Purgatory hosts various events throughout the summer, such as live music concerts, festivals and bike races.

NO PETS: Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals.

COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

NOTE: This building has thin walls and the residents do strictly enforce the 10pm quite time - please be respectful of your neighbors when staying at Purgatory Townhomes.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Great spot

We had a nice ski weekend at this rental. Appreciated was the fully outfitted kitchen. Didn’t care for the bed sheets, synthetic material and uncomfortable. In all other ways great accommodations!

While the location is convenient and it functions as a place to sleep, it did not meet expectations for a slope-side townhome. The furnishings and appliances are extremely dated, making the space feel more like a basic motel than a premium rental.The kitchen and electronics in particular stood out in the wrong way—a microwave that appears to be from the 1980s, a radio with a tape deck, an older TV paired with a DVD player. The bedroom furniture was reminiscent of a college dorm. What might be a novelty for a moment ultimately reinforces how overdue this unit is for updates, especially when compared to other rentals in the same price range.We also ran into an issue with the Wi-Fi, as the information provided in the unit was incorrect. We were eventually able to connect by using the network name and password listed directly on the modem. Reading through past reviews, these concerns have been raised for at least five years, often met with responses saying upgrades would be considered. Unfortunately, it does not appear that meaningful changes have been made. If location is your top priority and you’re comfortable paying a premium despite the condition, this property may work. Otherwise, there are better-maintained and more modern options available that I would recommend booking instead.

Property is outdated and needs cosmetic repairs but was clean. Hall tub didn’t drain but maintenance quickly took care of that. Convenient location.

Great Spot!

We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Communication was prompt and thorough. We were a short walk to get on the mountain and would stay all day. If you're coming to stay to enjoy the outdoors and need a place to crash comfortably, this place is at the top of the list.

Walking distance to ski!

Loved being so close to the resort that we could just walk to the slopes. No traffic or parking fees! It was perfect for our family of 4! A little dated but no problems!

Everyone had a bed.

The place was ok. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms were nice extra space. The place was dated and the bedding was not pleasant. The pillows were totally flat and old. I think we will look for another place or find another place to ski next year.

Also, great location as central hub for hiking, biking, etc. The condo was a little dated but most definitely served all of our needs while we were there. We had no issues with arrival or departure. The condo was clean and well stocked with the essentials (TP, soap, shampoo, paper towels, dish washer detergent, etc.)

Great location, if wifi doesn't matter

The best thing about this property is the location. Walking to the lifts was our #1 priority. Parking is right in front of the building. Ski lockers are inside on the first floor, and they had plenty of room for our gear. This is a first floor unit, so no stairs- but it's by the front door to the building, and with the unit's thin door and walls, you hear all the noise of others coming and going. The dated features of the condo are acceptable since you know that up front and everything functions. My only problem was the unit's wifi, which did not function during our trip. I wasn't able to ski this trip, so I planned to work during the days- which required wifi. I spent a good part of the first evening and second morning on the phone and sending emails to the tech help/property management people trying to get it resolved. Ultimately they gave me log in info for a wifi in a property nearby, which worked but was slow. The management and tech people were all great and tried to help, but it was ultimately a bigger issue with equipment outside buried under snow and ice. The others in my group weren't affected so much and they were all very pleased with our location.

Needs Updating / Small for family of Four / Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great Location. Unit is pretty small in the common areas. Not much space. Bedrooms were very large with small bedrooms. New carpet and floors that were nice. Living room closets and ski storage were packed with various things. So we were unable to utilize those spaces with our ski gear. Dining area was tight with table and chairs that are too big for the area. Kitchen could have been better stocked. Place was clean, just 2 small for 2 adults and 2 teenagers in the common areas. Again, the location was great. First floor, easy access. Able to walk to the lifts. Can ski almost all the way back if you know the trail behind the units.Price was fair.The property manager lady was super nice. Wish I could remember her name, because she deserves positive recognition.

Filthy and Disgusting

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have never done a review before, this is the first time I have and unfortunately it is not a good one. While the location was great for our vacation, this property was filthy and disgusting. Every rug in that place was filled with dirt and was coming apart, there were open outlets that are a huge safety hazard. There is dust everyone, cobwebs that are a year old, all of the dishes and pots and pans were dirty, I had to rewash everything I was using. The wifi did not work the entire time we were there and the property manager puts the owness on us to contact the company and get someone out there (not convenient). The furniture is dirty, the bedsheets and blankets and pillow cases were filthy and smelly, the walls had what looks like feces on it in several of the rooms. The shower curtains are brown and stained, the closet doors are broke, should I go on? I cannot believe this is how a property management company or an owner would leave their investment.

This condo was beyond filthy and the pictures of the advertised condo look far from how we found the condo upon arrival. All 3 beds white covers were visibly dirty, used multiple times without being washed. One of the beddings had BLOOD STAINS on it! After contacting the host Vacation Rental Collective, they said they will send someone to come clean/change them out next day. Someone came next day just to drop off ONE of the beddings by the front door. We had to change it out ourselves. We then found more clean sheets and also changed them out. Kitchen was very dirty, there was food residue on the mittens, utensils, greasy pan, kitchen towels were dirty and food leftover from previous guests in the fridge. The bathrooms were dirty, hair in bathtubs and on the floor. Smoke detector was broken off and part of it was on kitchen counter broken. It took 3 days for someone to come and look at it and then they couldn't fix it because of unknown to me reason. One of the bar stools leg was broken and it was a miracle that my kid wasn't hurt when he almost fell off of it. The couch had a lot of stains and under couch and beds we found old t-shirts, shorts, empty bottles, xmas wrapping paper, toys and much more. I don't mind outdated places, as long as they are well maintained and clean. This condo is far from it. The host did refund us cleaning fee of $300 but I would never stay there again. I highly recommend looking for different condo in that area, as the location is very nice.

For the price paid, the condo was decent. The biggest issue for us was the poor internet connection. The book in the condo says it is spotty, and that was an understatement. We are business owners, so even on vacation we have to do business. It was almost impossible due to the internet. If you need good internet, find another condo. Otherwise, it is dated, they have done some updates, but the mattresses are old, and carpet was well used. If you need a place to sleep, shower and make meals, it is a good value for the price. Easy walking to resort and very nice views from the patios. All appliances worked. Good for a family of 4. There were a few issues, but I pointed them out to the management company to fix for next renters.
