Beautiful one bedroom luxury Guest House: fully separate entrance and unit from main house. Complete privacy for our guests. Full luxury chef's kitchen with all the tools for creating wonderful meals. Outside deck with wonderful morning sun and filtered water view. Delightful dining room with complete view access.

Large Queen bedroom with luxury tile bathroom with large walk-in shower. Full washer and dryer in laundry area. This guest house would be great for several days or weeks if working in Friday Harbor.

Large flat screen with Firestick for TV access to personal streaming programs and CD player. View fully available from the living room too. Luxury furnishings throughout!

Come stay for awhile. You will not be disappointed!

Please note there are no steps to the entrance of this home.

Absolutely beautiful. A guest house that is perfect for a couple for a get away. Close to Friday Harbor for shopping and eating out, but isolated enough for quiet. Best short term rental we’ve stayed at. Real kitchen, comfy sofas, comfy bed. Not so big it isn’t cozy, but not so small you feel like you are in the kid’s room the whole time. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay - the property was quiet and peaceful & the kitchen was well-stocked. We watched deer grazing in the backyard. house was clean, well maintained, and it was a great place home base as we explored the island.

Very nice place

Five days of comfortable sleep, walking and privacy. A very beautifully crafted and decorated guest house. It was ten minutes to Friday Harbor . The gardens and grounds the result of years of love and caring. We would love to return in the future.

A relaxing retreat!

We really enjoyed our stay at Songbird, which is far enough away from the bustle of Friday Harbor, but close enough to bike off the ferry with all our belongings for 4 days. The dwelling is meticulously clean and well stocked. We very much enjoyed the peakaboo view of the water from the back deck. This experience exceeded our expectations!

Quiet, beautiful spot in the woods, but not far from Friday Harbor.

Owners next door, so very friendly and helpful. Just needs a bigger bed. Saw a black and red fox playing in the mornings, and watched fireworks from our balcony. Very nice.

Perfect!

This was exactly as described! Close to everything but peaceful and private. Our hosts were charming and helpful. I can’t think of a better place to have stayed while visiting this amazing island. My extensive research paid off because this place was perfect! Incredibly clean, comfy bed and great space to come to at the end of the day!

Songbird house

Property was excellent but thought it was closer to town, so definitely need a car. Make sure future renters know that.

A beautiful, impeccably kept guesthouse located in a lovely forest overlooking a small lake and the ocean beyond. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden kept by two very gracious hosts (and their small terrier, Sophie). Every day, as I looked out the large picture windows or walking on the deck outside, I felt that I was living in a picture postcard or travel brochure. My only suggestion for improvement would be for the property managers to improve the timeliness and consistency of their arrival and departure instructions. I had to call them to get the information. They also need to update the property description: e.g., availability of A/C and washer/dryer (both are present).

We Loved This Guest House in the Woods!

We can't say enough nice things about this place and our hosts Marcy and Ralph. The guest house itself was clean, spacious, and luxurious. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in the door. The property is in the middle of the woods, so it was wonderfully quiet. I enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, and my husband and I enjoyed eating outside on the deck overlooking the woods and peek-a-boo views of the ocean. The guest house is only a couple of miles from Friday Harbor, so it was easy to drive into town and dine at a restaurant or get on a whale watching tour. The island is small enough that we could drive anywhere in less than half an hour. Our hosts Marcy and Ralph were respectful of our privacy, but, by the time we left, we felt like they had become wonderful friends. We found out that the guest house was decorated with furniture and furnishings from Marcy's mother, which gave the home an especially warm, personal feel. My husband and I did not want to leave when the week was over, and we are already dreaming of taking another vacation here!

Delightful nature retreat

Our hosts were amazing and the time and TLC put into creating this amazing listing was clearly evident. Location was perfect, close to town nestled in the tall trees overlooking the water. Very private fully functional cottage just like home made it easy to cook in after visiting the local farmers market for fresh vegetables, pastries and the local catch of the day or close proximity to several five star restaurants with well stocked regional wines. We definitely fell in love with the San Juan islands and will be back.

Cozy, comfortable home

My husband and I wanted to be a bit out of Friday Harbor - and this home exceeded our expectations. The home is nestled among pines with a gorgeous view to the bay. It is quiet and comfortable. The home is a mother-in-law suite immediately next door to the owners, who are both very welcoming and nice. It is maybe a 1 mile walk (or less) to the water’s edge. The home itself is very clean, with a large master bedroom, cozy living room, and good size kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware, but you will need to make sure you bring the basics (like oil, tea, maybe some extra coffee). Our favorite spot was the deck overlooking the water and our second favorite was the living room with the two large, comfy loveseats. We very much enjoyed our time here and would recommend.

Songbird cottage on San Juan Island

Fantastic cottage. Perfect for two. Outside of Friday Harbor but not too far away from everything. Great location. We’ll equipped. Better kitchen than mine at home! Wonderful experience.
