Welcome to our humble cottage of the Brunswick Islands backcountry!

Relax and unwind with the whole family (dog included) at Ocean Pine beach cottage. This country, coastal setting is the essence of the Brunswick Islands backcountry. Only minutes from the Intracoastal waterway, public boat ramp, and famous Inlet Waterfront Bar+Grill restaurant. Drive just 10 minutes to Ocean Isle Beach + local shops, or hop over to surrounding beaches + more attractions. North Myrtle Beach and attractions is less than an hour away! Escape to the backcountry of the Brunswick Islands, peaceful and slow-paced, but so close to all the fun!

Shallotte, NC is a quaint beach town that invites your family to enjoy the coastal experience, events, and vibes. It’s the essence of the island backcountry. Some areas are up and coming.

Shallotte, NC is a popular vacation spot close to many beaches and only 40 minutes from Myrtle Beach, Wilmington and Southport areas! Shallotte houses many retirees and full time residents. It’s known for its famous Oyster festival where over 50,000 will gather yearly. Even better, Brunswick county was voted top places to live in 2025!

The space:
If you’re searching for the inland beach cottage experience, you’ve found it! Welcome to Ocean Pine Beach Cottage. This charming abode welcomes you with a calming, coastal interior atmosphere. Comfy decor and wicker furniture have been intentionally placed for that morning cup of coffee + read, or after that long day at the beach!

Enjoy the outdoors in this partially secluded area. Ocean Pine Cottage is nestled on two flat lots near Saucepan creek, along with a back yard! It’s fully fenced! The yard is partially enclosed with mature trees and shrubbery to keep the wooded feel. Outdoor leash hookups are provided for your doggy to play, if needed. Oh, and don’t forget the fire pit area for an evening around the fire.
Step into a quaint, simple cottage atmosphere full of coastal wanderlust, artistic touches, welcoming amenities and that wonderful outdoor, country salty air! At night you can oftentimes hear the ocean rolling/echos. The Location: Shallotte is an up and coming area. It’s an inland town with homes ranging from trailers, cottages, new-builds, and modular homes. There are many wooded areas. Shallotte downtown offers delicious restaurants and shopping! **Please note: *Security camera is located in the front of the property for security of the premises. The camera faces the parking area/front of the cottage. **There is potential for noise. This is a dog-friendly, residential area. Noise such as dogs barking, thru traffic, construction, or wildlife can be heard. A couple of noise deterrents are placed on the outside of the property (facing outward) to aid with any possible noise. Noise is out of the owner’s control.

Fantastic Vacation in NC

This cottage is beautiful, very well equipped and a great location. Very convenient to multiple beaches. The yard is amazing and our dog loved exploring the backyard. You won’t go wrong with your stay here.

3 day girls’ weekend in Shallotte at Ocean Pine Beach Cottage was very nice. The cottage was so nicely decorated and had plenty of room for us. The fenced in back yard was very nice for my dog. The location was about a mile and a half from Inlet View Cafe where we had dinner on our last evening. It was pretty much a perfect weekend. The air conditioning works well and the beds were comfortable. Very nice accommodations!

Great cottage

Great little cottage in the middle of where we needed to be. A couple of hiccups when first checking in, but were taken care of immediately by the owner. Not walkable to any shops but was right where we needed. It is on the back water, so definitely need to bring a thermacell or bug zapper if you plan on using backyard this time of year (not the owners fault!). There are different types of Off under the sink that is helpful. Great communication and easy check in and out.

Ocean Pine Cottage

The house is such a cute little home located outside of the hustle and bustle but is convenient to several area beaches with just a short drive. It was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you would need for the comforts of home. If you are traveling with your pups (we opted with a sitter because our pups are seniors) the home is set up with feeding bowls and beds for your furry family. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.

Not as clean as when there in 2024

Neighborhood was a bit noisy w barking dogs including at night & hammering at 1am. Used towels in bathroom. Overall, I liked it better in 2024. But a nice location to the beaches.

Perfect layover place

Stayed 4 nights early March on our way north from an extended Florida break. Temps help reacclimate slowly to return to northern PA. Great dog accessories including a large fenced back yard. First time here but would definitely stay again.

A quiet spot with everything you need!

My husband, our dog and I stayed at the cottage while checking in on the house we are having built in the area. The cottage was well appointed; we had everything we needed. There was lots of space inside and out! Our dog loved the large fenced yard. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Weekend Stay

We had a great weekend stay at Ocean Pine Beach Cottage with our dog. Danielle was very responsive to questions I had before and the night we arrived. The cottage was as advertised, nice and clean and in a great location for our needs. Our dog loved the fenced in yard. We definitely will stay there again at our next visit to Ocean Isle.

GREAT Vacation Property!

The property is lovely and just as pictured/described! The home is situated on a wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood. the yard is fully fenced on three sides making a large space for your pups. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms make the home very comfortable. Large driveway provides plenty of parking. The home is conveniently located near beautiful beaches and other amenities. The host of this property, Danielle, is very quick to respond, very accommodating seems to genuinely wants guests to be comfortable and enjoy their stay. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this property and can't wait to book here again!

Relaxing and quiet!

We stayed in this cute cottage for 2 weeks. It was comfortable, clean and everything you will need for a great vacation. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. The back porch where we had our coffee every morning was serene and relaxing watching the squirrels and birds. Would definitely stay again!

Very Quiet and Relaxing

I fell absolutely in love with this place. It was located at the end of a dead in street. This was the cleanest vacation rental I have ever stayed. The neighbors were very kind, I felt very safe. I walked my little pup around the neighborhood every day. There was a seafood restaurant less than a mile away. Ocean Isle beach was just a short drive away. I think around 4 miles away from the rental. The kitchen was fully stocked. I never wanted anything. The back yard was fenced in with a small wooded lot. The trees made it comfortable for my little poodle when I let her out. The back fenced in area had cute little outside string lights which made it very relaxing and it included a fire pit area. I would recommend this very nice cottage for girl friend getaways, families, and people with pets. I recommend this nice place, you definitely won’t be disappointed. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Great little cottage near the beach

I stayed here with my family for a wedding at Ocean Isle. It was only a 10 min drive to the venue on the island, which was perfect! Super cute cottage with all the amenities and great location. Would definitely recommend!

AWESOME COTTAGE!!!

This cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation by the beach. Its close to several beaches and located in a quite neighborhood for relaxation. The house has everything you could possibly need. The back yard has a GREAT fire pit which we utilized all the time. The rear yard is also completely fenced should you have a dog as we did. We rented the property for three weeks and would return again any time. You will not go wrong in this homey cottage!!!!

A month in the cottage

We rented the cottage for the month of February. The location was so handy to everything (beach, golf, restaurants and shops). We had various friend groups join us during the month and our host was very accommodating. I would recommend the cottage to everyone.

Nice getaway

Came to the area to get away and to explore the beaches. This cottage was the perfect location for us and our dog. It was very clean and lived up to the listing.

Weekend Getaway

It was great proximity to the beach and to the main strip of Ocean Isle. The only issue is the neighbor has a dog who barks at night and the back two bedrooms were woken up several times during the night. Also wish we would’ve known that the back unit only supplies heat. It got very hot in the house at one point. However, communication with the owner was great and it was the perfect size for what we needed.

•Our little family:
It’s simply me, my hubby, and our daughter….PLUS ten additional fur kids. We love to travel with our Collies + mini Aussie. We all enjoy seeing the world, meeting new people, and simply learning the cultures around us. We hope our abodes bring you that same experience.

We have simply fallen in love with the area, locals, and what the town has to offer. Everyone has treated us kindly and welcomed our dogs with care. We love that we feel tucked away at the end of the street, but truly so close (a short drive) to many fun adventures. That was a personal must for us! We personally enjoy the feeling of being cozied in. This cottage had a complete remodel and simply needed some TLC to bring it back to life! Shallotte is an older community that has been growing over the years. We simply wanted to create a cute, welcoming cottage in the area. A quaint home that would be cheerful and stand out. We can't wait to see what the future holds for Shallotte, NC! The cottage is adorable, cozy, and welcomes you with a coastal atmosphere and vibe.
