Excellent property. House did have a mothball odor, and one of the toilets had some issues flushing but the house was clean and property owner was so easy to work with! Would absolutely rent it again!

this property was perfect for our group. Good parking, very clean, well stocked, new and immaculate bathrooms. The fenced backyard for the dog worked so well. It was a 5 min walk to the beach access. Great house in a great location

The house is a perfect beach house! Short walk to the beach and a short drive to everything else. There's a great park(and ice cream) just across the bridge and great restaurants everywhere. Our hosts were terrific. Easy to talk to, and offered great dinner suggestions. Milo lived the deck and backyard and enjoyed napping on the carport under the house. I highly recommend the Sunset Hideaway.

Fathers and sons golf weekend

The venue was perfect for 3 dads and 3 sons for weekend of golf. upstairs screened in deck was great for playing cards and relaxing. Downstairs area under house and the yard was great for cornhole, cookin out and yucking it up! Renee the owner, was great with communicating with me along the way. Sjhort walk to beach too!!!

Home away from home

This was my second time renting The Hideaway, a lovely home, on the quiet west end of Sunset Beach. The screened in front porch hosted many long conversations with my parents, with my dog happily watching the world outside. The fenced in backyard is just big enough for my girl to get her zoomies out, but small enough it's easy to clean up after her; the perfect size! Unless Publishers Clearing House comes through with a big check for me (at which point I'll be able to buy my own beach house), I look forward to more stays here in the future. It truly feels like a home away from home.

It was perfect for the six of us. We were able to take lovely walks, sit on the porch and sing as the youngest played the guitar, share memories, cook or go out to dinner, play games, and pray together. Very relaxing!

Clean and comfortable.

This was our first VRBO vacation. But not the first time to the area. We picked it for location, and a fence in yard to bring dogs. Which we ended up leaving home anyway. Very well stocked kitchen. Looked and felt clean. We did have a minor issue or two that were easy to handle due to good communication. Some parts of the house were in need of repair or update. But otherwise in good shape.

Sunset Hideaway

We had an amazing stay at Sunset Beach. This house was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking. The screened front porch was amazing. This house was well equipped for our dog (fenced in back yard). My only concern was the distance to the beach but it was actually very close and the street is located directly across from the beach access. It was also very nice that we had access to additional beach toys and chairs if needed. Thank you for opening up your amazing home so that we could enjoy this beautiful island!!

Perfect Location

We fell in love with the location. Easy walk to the beach and the street was adorable. House was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. There were beach chairs and toys available for our use. Easy check-in and checkout. I would recommend bringing your own trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels~supplies were limited. We enjoyed our stay and will be back to Sunset Beach in the Fall🍁🍂!

Sunset Hideaway was purchased by 2 sisters who have been vacationing at Sunset Beach since 1977. We absolutely love Sunset Beach and think it is one of the best beaches on the East Coast. Very quiet and serene yet only 30 minutes to the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We own the Rose Garden Beach House next door and when our neighbor decided to sell his home, we couldn't pass it up. It is located on the west end of the island where the beach is less crowded. There is a wheelchair and bike ramp on 40th st. A great place to relax and vacation. The West end is safer for children to ride bikes due to less car traffic. There are chairs, boogie boards and other beach amenities for our guests to use.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Sunset Beach is the southern most point in North Carolina. The island is less commercial and more relaxed than any other outer banks island. If you have time and do not mind a good walk check out the Kindred Spirit Mail Box near the jetties. If you like to gamble check out the Big M casino boat that leaves from nearby Little River SC. The fall is a great time for the beach and the fishing is very good on the pier during September and October.
