Great location close to New Buffalo, Union Pier and Three Oaks. Loved the hot tub and sunroom for extra room and able to relax when it was raining. Very clean, comfortable beds, pretty decor and provided beach towels and bathroom toiletries. We loved staying here! The only negative was that no beach chairs or accessories were provided, but we always bring them just in case. Great place to stay with a family or group as every bedroom has its own full bath.

Vacation retreat!

Our family enjoyed the vacation home and there was plenty of room for everyone! Would like to have a shade on the bathroom windows for privacy!!!!! The home was a great layout and open, a farmhouse style. The sunroom was so nice!

Unexpected Concerns

This property is located directly across from a set of train tracks. Long trains rattle the whole house. Additionally, while I am not allergic to cats, I am mildly intolerant. Some of the blankets have dander on them, which was less than ideal.

Great new house in one of my favorite locations!

Perfect house with 3 nice bedrooms and private baths + 1 half. Loved the sunroom, hot tub and fire pit. On a busier road but with the windows being new didn't hear much sound even from the occasional train. Kitchen was stocked for a chef but like in the case of a lot of rentals the furniture is cheap and not very comfortable! One of our guests had to keep lying in bed for her back because there really wasn't a decent place to sit comfortably inside or out. I know it's a rental but we are older but in shape ladies, not overweight and just want a decent chair and sofa. Also the beach is now open there!

Great stay. Could use some clean up

We came in for 4 days with family. The house interior was clean and as presented online. Great space for 6 adults. The kitchen was well stocked to cook at the property. Many people complained about the train but it can hardly be heard inside the house with the windows closed. Same with the highway that sits about 150 feet from the property. The reason for the 4 star vs 5 star overall is that the exterior could use a good cleaning along with the windows and screens. This property is basically in the woods and has a TON of insects and spiders on the exterior (none inside the house). If this were my home, I would have it treated monthly by an exterminator. The windows and the sills were extremely dirty with dead bugs and spider webs and spiders and need to be cleaned. We wanted to open some windows to enjoy the fresh air but didn’t because of the dirty sills and screens. Also, mentioned by others, there are zero blinds/window treatments on the first floor except in the bedroom, but the bathroom in that bedroom did not have blinds. No blinds in either bathroom upstairs but only one of the two bedrooms upstairs had blinds. The place is a solid 4 but could easily be a 5+ place with some maintenance.

Loved it!

A belated review but our family of five loved our stay at Friendly Farms! The fire pit and s’mores were a huge hit- the hot tub may have been an even bigger hit. Everything was cozy and comfortable and the location to local spots, beaches and more was great. We’ve already told friends about it and hope to come back again sometime!

Amazing house!!!

We had a great time! The house is in perfect condition and very clean. It's close to the train and it's noisy, but not that horrible. We loved the walking path behind the house and being able to walk to the beach. It’s a nice place

Perfect little getaway

My girlfriends and I pick a different location each year to go on a girls trip. This year we chose Acorn drive. This home is beautifully decorated and stocked full of anything and everything you could possibly need. The hot tub and fireplace are incredible. The sunroom is an awesome place to gather and spend time playing games that are also provided with this property. Our only complaint was there were no blinds or curtains to pull shut. At night we felt like we were in a “fishbowl” so to say and felt we didn’t have any privacy when undressing or just chilling in the evening . Other than that I would give this property an A+!! Location is great close to the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the sunroom and hot tub !

Beautiful cottage but…

The cottage and grounds are beautiful and picturesque as the listing shows, however there are a couple reasons which would make me hesitant about booking this exact listing again. One is a super wasy fix: there are NO window coverings in the master bedroom:(. Luckily, I had a sleep mask packed—but my spouse did not. We were woken up one morning extra early by the 5am sunrise and then again the next night by lightning from a thunderstorm. Having window coverings in that room could allow guests a better night’s sleep as well as possibly dull the sound of traffic from Red Arrow Highway. Two: location. We have stayed in Union Pier many times before. We go every year and love riding our bikes and walking to the beach. We had to drive everywhere that we wanted to go in Union Pier due to the location of the property. Pur bikes sat unused because we didn’t want to have to ride on Red Arrow Highway to head closer to the Union Pier action and beaches. Just something to keep in mind if you are comparing properties.

Exceeded expectations!

The location was very convenient to everything, yet in a quiet little cul-de-sac. The house is gorgeous, very new, and beautifully furnished. The kitchen has everything, including filtered water and ice. There are so many lovely spaces to visit, eat, and play games together! The kitchen had everything you could need and then some. Wood was even available for the fire pit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice house but has issues

We stayed for 3 days and some how a sub pump alarm went off and the neighbors were asking us to have it shut off. We contacted the management and had no response until I called the emergency line. They said they would send someone out to get this fixed along with the fridge that wasn’t getting cool enough. We left for dinner and came back and thr alarm was still going off. I had to call the emergency line again and then spoke with Maria who was very nice. She also tried to get some one to come out to take care of this for us but ended up having to come herself at 10:30 at night because this alarm was loud and we would have not been able to sleep. She has to crawl three the crawl space to fix it. She sad she would call me on Monday to refund us for our stay which we greatly appreciated because we only had two full days in the house and one of the days was an alarm going off the entire day along with the fridge not working and no one ended up coming the next day to fix that either so we had to put our stuff outside to keep it colds Maria was. Very nice but I am expecting a call tomorrow Monday to address our refund .

A Cozy Christmas Getaway

Everything about the Friendly Farms home is beautifully curated to make for a wonderful and relaxing vacation! From the cozy accomodations, to the delightfully well-appointed kitchen, to the fire pit that brings fond camping imagery right into the backyard, everything is a delight! Furthermore, the location is well positioned in relation to many local attractions, which the hosts have thoughtfully compiled in a binder for guest convenience. Even during what would often be called "off-season" we found plenty to do and delicious food easily accessible! Vacasa's housekeeping team could see some improvement; some of the fresh towels were stained and the foaming-style handsoap bottles had been refilled with standard soap that clogged the nozzle. But these were minor hiccups were on Vacasa and not the host, and are nothing compared to the absolute delight it was to stay in this home!
