Live like a local with a screened in pool, private dock on a salt water canal that leads to the inter coastal and Gulf. Bike paths abound! Beaches are a short drive away, and nightlife every night of the week is nearby. Charter fishing, jet ski rentals, boat rentals are available! Multiple golf courses open to the public are also nearby!

Perfect location for us!

The house was updated and nicely appointed. The kitchen had pretty much everything you’d need. It was great being near the grocery store and we could walk to my sister’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving together! We would stay here again for sure.

Lovely property, just where we wanted to be, a short drive to Boca Grande & Gasparilla Island. Very well equipped & beautifully presented. Well stocked Publix within walking distance. Our highlight was the heated pool. Helpful Hosts. All in all a wonderful stay.

Quiet Paradise

This updated Florida Villa was perfect for us. It was very clean, furnished with more amenities than needed, and had some special touches. Close to some of the best golf courses in the area, the beach, nightlife, and a very quiet neighborhood. Owners were great to work with and very responsive. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent rental

One of the best we have stayed at. House is as described. Location is excellent. Street is quiet. The canal is not really useful but it did keep the shrimp alive. An option for pool heat would be the only suggestion.

Lovely House, Excellent Location, Friendly Owners!

Property was immaculate, lots of clean towels, comfy beds, excellent amenities, and great communication. Quiet area with canal access, which is great. You can walk to Publix or hit the road to Boca or Englewood Beach super easily. The pool was nice and clean with lots of floaties! Lovely outdoor furniture to relax on. So amazing to have some bikes and kayaks available, it was heaven for us. Everything was just lovely. Thank you, David & Mary, for welcoming us into your home.

Nice house and location

Location is great, right behind Publix grocery store and a block from main road into and out of Placida area. Lots of good walking and biking opportunities right from the house. Beaches and other activities are plentiful within a 15 minute drive. Kayaking in the canal is like being in your own little world. House is very clean and has everything you need, lots of space, too. Gators observed in the pond across the street. Host was responsive and helpful.

Biking and kayaking in and around Cape Haze.

My father and I (both retired) spent five weeks at this property, located on a nice, quiet street, conveniently close to the grocery store. The house came with kayaks and bikes. We spent most days doing one or the other, then relaxing in the pool in the afternoon, and hanging out on the lanai into the evening. We kayaked in the canal behind the house and the nearby intercoastal. We biked the Cape Haze neighborhood often, around the local golf course, plus the nearby bike trail. The house in conveniently located for these activities. The house was fresh, clean, and well-equipped.

Lovely house!

The house was renovated not so long ago and was modern and lovingly furnished. It convinced with its very complete equipment, nothing was missing what we needed for daily use. The visitors guide was very helpful. For the beach stay many things were available for all ages. We appreciated that the bicycles were all in working order and bicycle helmets were available. We had several different experiences with this. The location of the house to the beaches and shopping is very good, Publix and the post office were just around the corner. Only as a suggestion for the friendly hosts: we would have been happy about sun loungers at the pool. The flooring in the house was renewed during the renovation. Perhaps this could be done for the bedrooms as well. We absolutely can recommend this house for other visitors!

Great, cozy house, as advertised

From the evening of booking our trip, David & Mary reached out and stayed in communication all the way up to our arrival. They were amazingly fast at responding, and very pleasant. Our group consisted of my wife and myself as well as our four children ages 9, 5, 2, and 4 months. The owners were also sincerely concerned with the safety of our children, which was nice. Despite them admitting it had been many years since children as small as ours had been at their home, we did not feel there were any major hazards we needed to worry about. A few knick knacks, books, and decor stowed away at higher levels and/or inside of closets, and we were good to go. When we arrived we found that the home was exactly as advertised and if anything lived a bit larger than the photos seemed. Our oldest 2 are total pool rats and we spent some amount of time in the pool every day of our 2 week stay. Despite the fact that there is a pool heater available that can be activated remotely for you (for an additional charge), David suggested we would likely not need this during our stay, and he was right. We had stayed around the exact same time of year 4 of the last 6 years an hour north in St Pete Beach and used the pool heater there daily. So I'm not sure if it was just warmer or a difference of the pool setup or what, but the heater was unnecessary at this home in Cape Haze. Both beds had memory foam toppers added on top of the mattresses and slept very comfortably. The water pressure and temperature were solid and stayed that way even when we all used water in close proximity, which matters when you've got 6 people. It did seem to get a little warm at night in the room without a ceiling fan but this bedroom has a 2nd entry that is large sliding glass doors which open into a den off the dining room. So once we opened that sliding door up at night, it was much much cooler. Given, I am admittedly incredibly hot natured and was sleeping the first part of each night in between two hot natured kids as well. So it could have just been me, but my point is that with both doors to the room open, it is plenty cool. The home is on a dead end in a quiet neighborhood. There is a Publix you can walk to literally 100 yards catty-corner across the street and through a small line of trees. There are several beaches nearby also. Overall, this was a great place to stay, and we would recommend it to anyone on the hunt, couples, families, or otherwise.

The villa was spacious, super clean, and very well appointed. Minutes to the beautiful beaches of Boca Grande, and the pool area was a perfect spot to relax. Check in/out instructions were a breeze, and our hosts made us feel at home.

Fantastic accommodations and incredible location.

We had an awesome time. Spent 8 days in this wonderful canal/pool home. The heated pool. It's amazing. Everything in the home is updated and like new, plenty of everything we needed. Cookware, linens, dishes, everything you'd have at home. The layout of the house is very nice with plenty of space. You'll find beach chairs, coolers, and bikes in the garage. Walk to Publix for anything you need! Nearby Boca Grande beach ($6 toll bridge) just a few miles down the road, one of the nicest beaches we've ever seen. Blue waters and white sand. You will not want to miss it. We went every day. Nice little town square, and several very nice places to eat too. We ate early dinner at Millers in the marina. Plenty of other things nearby can be found with a quick search for "food near me", or search for "live music near me"! We had breakfast at Coffee & Friends in Placida a few days, and also at The Morning Muze in South Gulf Cove. Laurie runs this little 5 table shop by herself and the food and setting is great. Fun chatting with the locals. Dinner was Farlows, Leverlocks, Smoking Joes Tiki hut and a few others. All very good. Englewood beach area (free and only about 15 minutes up the road) is really fun, we loved the Sandbar and Grill outside venue for food and live music. If you're a MOOSE member, their lodge bar is open air and really nice, food was very good. Your Hosts are very responsive and nice to deal with. We would definitley return for another visit! A+, THANK YOU!

Excellent villa

This is a lovely villa in an ideal location the owners were extremely understanding regarding our travel arrangements due to covid. The villa had a few really touches provided by the owner.
