3 bed 2 Bath renovated cottage in Award Winning Ocean Lakes Campground!
New... new... New... everything in this adorable two bed, two bathroom cottage in Ocean Lakes is new and it’s the perfect place for a small family to vacation! Linens are included with the rental of this home. Ocean Lakes now has a three acre water park complete with water slides, pools, splash areas for little ones, a lazy river and an indoor pool. We offer great "snowbird" winter rates as well! The activities this camp ground offers are endless and of course the main attraction is the Beacutiful Beach! Basic Cable and Wifi are included. Golf cart rental available for the week with an additional fee of $400. This home is a modular that has been built on to and has all the comforts of home with a well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms have one queen and one full size bed. The living room also has a sleeper sofa so this cute home sleeps 6 easily. We also have an air mattresses!

Loved it

We had a Last minute reservation. Owners was very nice and answered their phone every time we called. They even allowed us to stay a day longer to accommodate a dinner reservation we were going to.

Nice beach cottage

Had a nice experience at the Lazy Lobster beach cottage. House was clean and sufficiently equipped. Owner was good to deal with and responsive. Golf cart was a definite plus.

Great property!

This was a great property located inside of the Ocean Lakes campground. We had four people and there was plenty of room for everyone. The space was clean and well-maintained. If you rent this place and want to easily navigate the campground then definitely rent the golf cart, too!

What a great trip!

We loved our time staying at the property. We stayed at Ocean Lakes last summer in a different property. This was so much cleaner than our last rental at Ocean lakes. The property owner was quick to respond to any "issues" that arose. We would definitely stay here again.

Grass needed cutting, air conditioning never worked correctly after two service calls by havc company stayed 79 to 80 until late night. before getting to 72 but had new ac unit.other than that nice

Fantastic Host who bent over backwards for us

We had a blast at Ocean Lakes! First time we have stayed here and overall the property was great. I would like to give a glowing review to the host though and express my deepest gratitude. We booked a place and a couple days before the AC Unit had to be replaced and not in time for our stay. He put us up in another place and was more than accommodating and went out of his way to make us happy. In a world with terrible customer service this man was a diamond in the rough. The place was very clean, had everything we needed and then some, check in with door codes/keys was super easy and we felt very safe here. Communication with our host was phenomenal. He was super quick to respond and helped us through everything we needed including suggestions about the property and other things going on around town. The one thing I should mention is that it is necessary to rent a golf cart. You cannot walk to the beach, VRBO has the pin dropped in the wrong place and it says 1 minute walk to the beach, it isn't. All the spots ocean front are for RVs and camping spots. The homes and cottages are back further on the property and you will need a golf cart to get around. You cannot park a car ocean front to go to the beach, the campground will not allow it and no parking in front of the amusement center. If you go to ocean lakes website, theres a map that will give you an idea of where stuff is. I will definitely rent from this host again the next time we go back. 5 stars.

Good location

Description was a bit misleading. Listing said everything inside was “new new new” Only portions of home were renovated. Closet doors were broken. Blinds were broken. Trash bag was used as a curtain in the kitchen. The best thing about the unit was being able to add the golf cart for additional $$. It was great to be able to get around the campground and to the beach.

Wrong place given

The property I rented wasn’t the property I was given. Owner said I could have original property the second day but then could never give me the unlock code so I could get into it. The place we were given wasn’t big enough for a family with four kids (maybe small kids, but not teens).

Horrible property owner!

Rented this property in June of 2021. First off it says two bathrooms. One bathroom the hot water will not work. The a/c is terrible set at 70 and it stays around 78 to 80. Worse beds I’ve ever slept in! So uncomfortable and hard. The couches felt so nasty we put a blanket over them because we didn’t want to sit on them. Water stains in the ceiling all through out the house. It’s basically just a camper. Very tiny house. No working rinse off area outside. Owner took my deposit because of a small amount of dog hair. I paid two cleaning fees.... she would have taken the deposit regardless of what the house looked like! We even moped and swept before we left! Been going to ocean lakes for years and this was the worse experience by far. Do not recommend! Owner is very rude in fact hung the phone up on me after she said she was keeping my deposit.

There is a reason its called LOBSTER

1 - we never were able to get the temp below 79. the window air in the living room helped a little but I had to change the filter- it was filthy. 2 - My grandson decided to sleep on the pull out sofa bed. The mattress was old , moldy and filthy. 3- many lights did not work - the one in the main hallway as an example. 4- the tv in the bedroom would not work. It would power up but there were no directions for getting to the cable or internet. 5- the small bathroom shower water was luke warm at best and went cold after 4 mninutes. 6- the ac cover in that bathroom was old and rusty and hit you on the legs every time you sat on the toilet. 7- thre doors for that bath were plywood and would not stay closed 8- the kitchen was very poorly stocked with needed cooking items and there was very little silverware. No dishwasher. No toaster or toaster oven. Had to make toast in a skillet. 9- the master bedroom was nice as was the main bathroom. 10- the golf cart worked fine and it was a good thing since we were as far away from the beach as you could be and not be on US17. The owner needs to invest some money in a fix up - we felt like we were back in the 60s and he later told us it is a modular that was at one time a camper with add ons. Would I stay here again - never !!!!!

Great stay

The property owner Watty was very friendly and made thevwntire process very easy. He checked in with us every day to make sure the property was good and to see if we needed anything. We will definately stay here again. The neigborhood was great the house was clean and he also rented us a golf cart. Ocean lakes was a wonderful campgrounds and has all the amenities you. Puld ask for

Needs to have it checked. Never really got cool just where the window air conditioner was. Bedroom on kitchen side has no vents. No cable TV in bedroom...

Ocean Lakes Lazy Lobster Cottage

The looked very nice. 1. They needed a new trash can in the kitchen the one that was in there was broken and you had to open it with your had. 2. Also, the rinse off that was located behind the house was very awkward since hose head was leaking and you had to walk to the other end of the back of the house to turn water hose on and off and by the time you finished you had mulch and mud on your sandals. 3. They need to put up a better shower curtain since the one they had was no well secured on the rod and kept unhooking.

Nice location

The property that we rented was not available but we were given another property. I am just glad the owner had additional properties to offer. He was kind in explaining the check in process and was very good at communicating. The place was very clean and only a short walk to the beach.

Perfect Host

We rented this house but when we arrived the people already there could not leave for personal reason but Mr Newsome put us up in another home he had it was beautiful great location we loved it he was a perfect host kept checking on us me text to make sure everything was going good for us we definitely plan to stay with him again in June thanks Mr Newsome for everything you did

Great Location & Experience

This 2 bedroom Beach House was all that was described in the ad and more. We felt right at home and loved the golf cart riding around the beautiful property. The beach and ocean was nice and clean also a very large water park for summer fun. Owner does best with calling for communication, he answered all my questions with 2 phone calls after I emailed he told me phone calls are best wich was no problem just to let other people know to call him. Loved our whole getaway, thanks
