Relaxing stay

Enjoyed a weekend away. The only complaint is it can be a bit noisy due to the busy street! Other than that relaxing and nice! Would for sure stay again!

Really a nicely appointed place but…

Steve was a great host and has a surprisingly great place that you’ll enjoy, as long as street noise is not an issue for you. It is on a busy street and the property is not set back far from it. This aside, it is well-maintained and tastefully decorated place with very comfortable beds and most everything you’d want anticipated from Keurig coffee machine to books to read.

Great stay

The house is very clean and very nicely put together. Would most definitely stay here again if I had to stay in Dayton. Very great home compared to everything around it.

Not what they said

We had a few major issues with the stay. 1. The property has a large soaker tub and very little hot water. The tub is the only reason we picked this place to stay over others in much better areas. I really don’t know what the issues are with the hot water but even after they turned up the hot water tank 24 hour into our stay we still only had maybe 5 gallons of hot water then it went cold. We could not even take warm showers. Let alone a soaking bath. It took 18 hours at one point for the owner to get back with me and no one ever came in the unit to understand what our hot water issue was. 2. The other odd thing is the building. You can hear what I think is a rental unit on the back side. The “high speed internet” must be shared because at times we had very low speeds. 3. In the listing they say you can use a washer and dryer. It is not in the building and no instructions on how to find this. 4. The listing said they have a Gym. They have no gym. 5. Point 5 is the area. This is NOT a great neighborhood in Dayton. I knew the area well enough to know that going in but it is not what they say in the listing. I just needed a place to do an online class so that was not a big deal to me as I when in and locked all the doors. 6. Missing a few normal things. They don’t have a dish washer and only have 4 plates cups towels. We had three people staying so that got old fast. They also have no checking in or checking out information. We had no clue on an outside trash can or what to do for check out. Over all I got my class done and did not waste time on things like hot showers and relaxing baths. I got up early so I had internet. No going out to dinner because I would not want to come home after dark.

It was perfect for what we needed while visiting family in Clayton. It was clean and maintained very well. Check in was a breeze. Steve communicated frequently with to me make sure everything was going good.

Felt Like Home

We recently stayed in this beautiful home during our week visiting family in Dayton. The property is well kept, very clean and has all the essentials to feel like home away from home. Located near plenty of stores and businesses, it is easy to find things to do and places to eat and shop within a few miles of this home. We definitely plan to stay here again during our next visit.
