Lund is a popular house with expansive room sizes and can easily accommodate 20 guests for family get-togethers, weddings, or corporate retreats. The sea and sun come in throughout the house. With six King beds and two primary Suites each with a private balcony overlooking the Gulf, Lund will make you forget what day it is by Monday. The house is designed to allow large groups to be together and provide space to be apart. The first floor opens to a walkway to the sea and has its own living room and mini kitchen with an icemaker, refrigerator, and microwave, which makes it popular for retreats or weddings. The second-level balcony easily seats 10 and affords a place in the shade to take a long wished-for nap, read that book, or watch the sea. With swimming pools and lounge chairs on one side and the beach on the other, Lund promises to provide a relaxing time for all.

Awesome Beach House

The house was perfect for our ladies golf trip! We each had our own room and bath. Common space was roomy. A very short walk to the beach was the best! Huge kitchen upstairs and a small one downstairs. Laundry upstairs and downstairs. Would love to come back!downdown.down.diwnsta

Excellent for family.

Location was excellent and I tried to book for the same time next year and it was already booked! I would have rated this home a 5 but there were a lot of minor things that needed attention that prevented me from doing so! I submitted that feedback separately.

Loved our stay at Lund

Lund was near-perfect for what we were looking for for our family fall break trip. We had 12 people (7 adults, 5 young children) and the house could have easily accommodated 6 more adults. Lower floor was perfect for the 4-child family. The bedrooms are large, most with private bathrooms, and we loved all the king-sized beds. The main gathering area is also very large and we had plenty of room for everyone to eat together, play games, or watch movies. But the main attraction is the beach, which is right there - about 100 yds away. And there are great views from the balconies. Pool is also very close, which we used a couple times. All-in-all a great place to stay the we really enjoyed. We are already hoping to visit again!

Beach House

The house was described accurately in the listing. It is perfect for multi-generational families. The bunk room for children is on ground floor which made it ideal for them to go directly to the sand and play. Grills are not allowed at the house or beach but there was a electric griddle which made it easy to cook for a large group. The open kitchen is also ideal for large group meals. The one issue we had was handled quickly and professionally.

Nice house for a large family gathering right on the beach.

The house needed some maintenance and the downstairs dryer & large ice maker were not operational. The listing shows two queens on main floor but it was a king. Could not find extra linens and didn't find the blankets until midway thru our stay. The private beach access was awesome, and the area is very nice. Overall we had a nice family reunion and vacation.

Overall we had a great experience staying in this home. We had some issues with bugs that was taken care of promptly when addressed with the property manager. Most of the doors and windows don’t seal all the way so I think that’s why there is an issue. The rooms were incredibly nice and we enjoyed amenities with very few other people. The beach is very close to the house and we enjoyed sitting on the deck at all hours of the day and watching marine life such as dolphins, seat turtles, and a shark! It was a very enjoyable vacation overall!

Great house but adjust your expectations

The house overall was a great size and though we had 10 adults, 3 toddlers and an infant, we never felt crowded. However, check in was difficult and we had to spend 15 minutes on the phone with support to get a code that opened the front door. Customer support was great and very responsive but a frustrating experience none the less. The house needs some extensive maintenance to repair broken appliances, a deep clean of air filtration systems and dryer vents and repair of leaky windows. The back deck is fabulous but getting out there was a pain sometimes because the doors kept jamming. The kitchen is well appointed (we cooked every meal in it and had everything we needed to do so). The bath towels provided need to be REPLACED! The pools across the street are small but perfect for our toddler situation. If you need a house with plenty of space and you want to cook for large crowds, this is for you. Just set your expectations. We love Orange Beach and will return in 2 years for another reunion but will likely choose another house.

Hoosier Family Memories

This was our family vacation and we had given this to our children and grandchildren as a Christmas Gift. Having visited Gulf Shores for years throughout my childhood, I was so excited for this experience and to share with my family. We have 5 children and several grandchildren. This house was perfect. The amount of space and set up of rooms could not have been better. 4 large rooms upstairs all with on suite bathrooms as well as ceiling fans that were perfect. We never had issues with the home being too hot and boy was it hot outside. July visit! There was a washer and dryer as well as a small refrigerator on this level as well. This allowed for morning coffee and late-night snacks without having to travel and bother anyone in the early and late hours. The main level had 2 bedrooms as well, one having the on-suite bathroom. All bedrooms (8) had king size beds with all the needed linens and pillows. The kitchen was appropriately stocked with utensils, pot and pans as well as blender, coffee maker and ice maker. (Game changer) The basement was set up beautifully for our daughter and her 4 small children that included a room with 4 bunk beds and a living area as well as a kitchen and full-size refrigerator. The best part that was a potential negative to some that was a positive for us with small children was that there was only 1 access to the beach which was from the basement sliding glass doors. This allowed the children to be on the main and top levels without having to worry about them escaping to the pool or beach. Deck space was good. The grill area was outside our door and was very nice. Had a area for seating and visiting well cooking. Yes, like most rentals on the beach, there were some upgrades that could have been made and a hose that didn't have a working sprayer. The only real concern that I had was that the walkway to the beach was in pretty bad shape and had several boards that were sticking up. We made it work! Overall, the family had a great time and look forward to our next vacation in Gulf Shores. We would rent this property again or sure! Thanks for all the memories made in this house that we will cherish forever.

Pros: Location was wonderful Proximity to beach was wonderful Easy, very close walk to the beach Beach was not crowded at all Plenty of room for our family of 14 Downstairs ice maker was great There were two washer/dryers! Beds were comfortable Plenty of utensils, cookware, service ware in the kitchen Dishwasher was very quiet Cons: The sheets/bedspreads/blankets were thin, cheaply made, and wouldn't stay tucked into the bed The stand alone ice maker in the main kitchen did not work The ice maker in the freezer in the main kitchen did not work The freezer in the main refrigerator door would not open without pulling the whole refrigerator across the room The room that was advertised as two twin beds actually had one king bed in it. It was not what we needed for our grandchildren. We needed the two twin beds. The railing on the upstairs balcony was attached to the shutter with a zip tie and there was police tape around the rail. DANGEROUS SITUATION Every bathroom had a significant amount of mold None of the bedroom or bathrooms had working locks The outdoor floodlights on the front of the house could not be shut off--it flooded into all the front bedroom like daylight. The swimming pool rails on the steps were not attached--DANGEROUS SITUATION The sliding glass doors were "locked" with a piece of wood in the track. There were no batteries in any of the remote controls for the televisions. The DVD players required cords that were not there--my son in law just happens to be well prepared and had cords in his car. So without him, there would have been no working DVD players. The Streaming systems on the tv were out of date and unusable. The house needed throw rugs to help keep down the amount of sand on the floors. If all these items were repaired/addressed, we would definitely stay here again. However, in the state the house is in at this time, I would say pass on it and would not recommend it. We did not report any of these things at the time we were there because we had had a house full of people and were on vacation. Most of these things need more than just a cursory visit to the property.

Lovely beach, home needs some tlc

The neighborhood and beach were lovely for our week vacation. We are a 20 person family that have been coming to gulf shores/orange beach and surrounding area for 30 years. The house had plenty of space and was comfortable but needs some tlc. The ice maker went out the first day we were there, maintenance was scheduled for Wednesday, 4 days into our trip, only to say that it needed a new part and could not be fixed during our stay. We emailed asking for ice or a solution and there was no reply. The Sunday after we had already left, we received a phone call asking if maintenance had come and we had the conversation that yes there was no part and the response was “oh sorry they should have told us so we could get a new ice maker installed.” But that did not happen. Another set back of the house was bugs. We had roaches in the kitchen and in a bedroom. We are from Louisiana, so we have our fair share of bugs. But routine pest control is the answer. We had to spray Raid in the kitchen nightly, to find dead roaches the next morning. They mentioned on the Sunday phone call that they would schedule a maintenance visit for that as well. Overall the house needed minor maintenance and cleaning. Caulking in the bathrooms was peeling, chipped paint, dated tired furniture. The living room couch has seen better days, and obviously just from weekly vacation use. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of cutlery, plates and cooking utensils. They had a very nice shared grilling area and seating. Overall it was a fine stay. We stayed on the beach as much as possible.

Great Place!!

This place is amazing! It’s right on the beach and has a bathroom with every bedroom!! We stayed with two other families and it fit is all perfectly! The only problem we had is it wasn’t very clean when we got there. I understand it is on the beach but the floors and stairs were full of sand and so was the couch in one of the master bedrooms.
