At the end of a hard day of relaxation, an incredible night's sleep is sure to be had, and with six king beds easy to find. Morning comes early down on the coast and a hearty breakfast is in reach with a kitchen that makes it easy. The decisions of the day need not be made in haste. The beach will wait, the pool will be there and the half-finished book is still where you left it. At Horningsholm naps are in order and can be taken at will.

Our perfect family vacation

I have dreamt of this vacation with our kids and grandkids for years. Not everyone could make it, but most did. The house was the perfect place to stay for all of us. The rooms were spacious and every room had its own bathroom. We were so close to the beach and the pool. The kitchen had everything you could want as far as utensils. We had an amazing time and I can't think of a better place to stay. My only complaints are that the wifi was very iffy - but then again we did not come to this beautiful place to watch TV. And the main kitchen microwave did not work properly. But there was a microwave on each floor, so we had two others to use. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone!

Roomy vacation home

The home is extra roomy with plenty of places to gather or have alone time. The main kitchen is fully stocked and plenty of room for several cooks and clean up. The main deck looking to the ocean is roomy as well. We appreciated the pool being at the front if the house so the kids wouldn't ask to go until evening.

It seems to me that upper management is not engaged. We had issues with roaches. Totally ruined our trip - while we were in the house in the evenings. Countless phone calls, emails, and text messages from me, and it’s always the same AI answer. “We’ve contacted our local team….”. Local will bring lightbulbs and kitchen linens but they have no authority to issue a full or partial refund. Or credit for future stays. A fiasco of hand offs and repetition. So they did send an exterminator, but this bug remediation needs to happen before guests arrive. 4000 and our memories include roaches. Photos. Videos. And the worst part, this company still ask me for a review. So say NO. There are plenty of other places that are managed locally. And good luck if you are already booked. pS. They call roaches palmetto bugs, but they are still roaches. No actual satisfactory conclusion. No refund, and hours of my vacation invested in dead end communications. Again. NO. The location is perfect but when management can’t help that is poor management. My first time as a Karen, and I understand the feelings of frustration and money wasted.

Great location and house, needs new appliances

The house is nice and big. It was perfect for all 3 families. The location was perfect. We loved the beach. My only complaint is the appliances. The upstairs fridge doesn’t have any shelves, the bottom fridge is missing drawers. The ice makers were moldy and the main floor ice maker didn’t work. The dryer on the first floor stopped working the first day. The cable/internet worked intermittently. I reported the dryer issue on Sunday, they said it would be fixed the next day. No one came. I contacted them again Wednesday. It still wasn’t fixed. Someone came Thursday said it needed a part, and they would refund us some money for the inconvenience. I have yet to receive any refund.

Almost Perfect

The location is stunning, no question. The house met all our needs for our family. It is worn a bit from guests, some stains on furniture and carpets, but quite good for our needs. However, the internet and television modem never worked as advertised. We contacted the property manager every day about this and they promised to address the problem. They did send a tech the first day but nothing changed. I know I made contact most every day and was promised action but it did not happen. We loved being there and the beach access was perfect. I would love to book this again, but this one problem does make me cautious, given we had six grandchildren with us. For the price we paid, I had hoped all promised amenities would have been provided.

BEST WEEK EVER

The house is in the perfect location, lots of space for everyone! I wouldn’t count the tops level and bottom level couches as part of the beds, they were only about a centimeter thick and the absolute worst to sleep on. So bring an air mattress if you have anyone planning to use them! Other than that, which isn’t a deal breaker anyway, everything was fabulous! The communication with Vacasa is fantastic, they are so easy to get a hold of and are very helpful. This is our 8th trip to AL and the 3rd time we’ve used them for renting and they are the best to work with! We will use them every year if we can!

Booking great, Property not so nice

Stained carpets and upholstry, freezer would t close, dishwasher flooded kitchen, garbage disposal broken, light out in bottom floor laundry room, chair on balcony breaking, bottom of external balcony door broken, shower at pool did not work, lamp shade broken, blinds in main room falling off, blinds missing opener, stained bed covers, bottom of sliding doors rusted out, rust stains all around the deck, only four forks, knives very dull, bathroom shower controls fell off, no water in one showerhead, water filters expired, HVAC filters appeared to have not been changed in a year so dirty, ran out of hot water, downstairs back door very difficult lock (safety issue), Good location, parking and view

Beautiful home but disappointed

We really wanted to love this home. The layout is perfect- three floors with a kitchen at each floor for separate families, king beds in each of the main bedrooms besides the bunk beds, comfortable beds, great a/c, a pool literally across the parking lot, great porch furniture for gazing at the beach, and super easy and fast access to the beach. But the maintenance was an issue. When we arrived the stairs had not been vacuumed and the floors not mopped. We were given the wrong WiFi password, the microwave worked in and out on the main floor, the freezer door on the main floor was constantly stuck and wouldn’t close so our food spoiled inside of it. The couch has a few stains and honestly looks like it should have been replaced a few years ago. We would love to come back here as it’s a great set up. Just hoping for some updates before next stay- the last thing you want to stress over on your vacation is maintenance repairs on appliances.

Repeat customers.

Right on the beach and close to many restaurants and shops. A lot of space and 3 fridges. AC worked great. But there are numerous maintenance issues that need to be addressed.

pros and cons, overall great stay!

Very spacious! The perfect house for a multi family vacation. Each floor has its own full size refrigerator, microwave, and pantry area. Ice machines on floor 1 and main level. Washer and dryer on 1st and 3rd floor. Also loved that every room has its own bathroom and a king bed with the exception of the bunk room (still has own bath). Only con is not much is provided. Trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap and dish washer detergent (if you need more than 2 pods) and coffee filters. Must bring, any and all beach items. However the option to rent umbrella and chairs is accessible easily. All in all loved our stay and looking to rent again!

Can’t beat the location

We stayed in the house with 3 families (6 adults and 7 kids) and there was ample space for us all. The beds were comfortable and every bedroom in the house has its own bathroom which we loved. The views from the balcony/porch were amazing. We loved the short walk out the front door to hang at the beach, taking daily walks along the ocean, biking to the Hugh S Branyon Backcountry bike trails to see alligators and other wildlife and hanging out on the large main floor playing group games. We had an issue with a couple of the appliances and the owners were very responsive and sent their local handyman out immediately to help with that. We enjoyed a very relaxing spring break vacation and would love to stay in this house again!

Great waterfront vacation home.

We loved staying in this house. It was just steps from the beach. We felt safe with the entrance gate. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Had plenty of plates and silverware for our family of 14. The 3 living areas were perfect for our 3 different families. Extra refrigerators and ice makers were a plus. The main living area was roomy and had plenty of seating. Dining table was big and could seat all of our family. The furniture was well loved and comfortable. The families loved having their own bathrooms connected to the bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The decks facing the beach were used a lot. Furniture was comfortable and used by all.

Large family/ large home

Our trip was awesome from start to finish. There was plenty of room at the dining table for all 14 of us to eat together. That was fantastic. The rooms were spacious with comfortable king size beds in all but one of the 7 bedrooms. We ALL had a blast and plan to make it an annual trip.

Fall Break 2022

Loved that the house was so close to the beach. The sitting rooms that included full sized refrigerators on each floor was a plus. The location was convenient to many things. We look forward to next year. The maintenance staff were prompt in taking care of our needs.
