Access to beach was a few steps away. The condo was clean and there was 24hr staff on site. It was safe area to stay. Would stay in this area again.

Just steps to beach

This place have an excellent location close to stores, bars and restaurants. Was fully stocked with all the necessary. Excellent place to stay.

Location was perfect, walking distance to restaurants and stores. Beach was beautiful. Condo is not updated besides master shower. Had a smell, like wet/old carpet, room spray helped. Two coffee pots didn’t work. Fans help drown out noise from street traffic in the bedroom by the front door. In the description it stated parking was included, but once we went to lobby to check in parking fee wasn’t included. Overall we had a great trip.

Wonderful!

Comfortable beds. Clean, spacious unit. Great location. Within walking distance to The Hangout. Elevator worked great with no wait. I would definitely stay here again!!

Good room not so great appliances

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The fridge didn't keep cold. Put milk in there and went to use it in the morning and it was warm. Other than the fridge issue everything was great.

Everything was great except it shows you get 2 parking passes, but when I arrived I was told you only get 1 parking pass per unit. There was a dirty rag left in the floor by the front door when I arrived and the wifi was not an open wifi. I had to reach out and get the wifi password.

Definitely could use some updates in 2nd Bedroom. Master bed and bath updatwd some. Carpet and furniture 2nd room very old and a little musty with damaged headboards. Rentals should have a hair dryer for travelers but was not on ammenity list or available. Gr8 location. View of ocean from side of building.

Stress at the Beach

Couple of things threw a wrench. Condo was as listed and communication with property management was fast but follow through did not happen. The shower doors fell off the tracks day one and never fixed. I was also dissatisfied with the 50 per car permits required for a weekend stay. I understand this to be HOA requirement but felt this wasn’t explained well in the listing. It basically made the weekend rental 100 more and I could have stayed elsewhere for less. Other than the non-working shower and parking costs, everything was fine.

Vacation

Ceiling in master bedroom falling down going into bathroom and fell on our heads over the bed. Bathroom in other bedroom wouldn't drain kept holding 3 inches of water. Table on patio is rusted and broke around the legs , my granddaughter cut her foot on it. All the pots and pans were peeling so bad we couldn't use them. I was extremely disappointed in this rental. Was definitely not worth the money

Dissapointed

The toilet was being fixed upon arrival. We ended up fixing it ourselves later that night. Mattress not good. The pull out sofa was broken on one hinge, and the mattress on that was unexcusable. We had to purchase a blow up bed bc of that. There was never any ice. Upon arrival, or when we left. It smelled like marijuana in it. My husband is a cop, and i have a little girl so it wasn't ideal.

It seemed to good to be true… and it was.

This place on VRBO was amazing. Location, 10/10. The balcony does have a view, but slim. The walls are all marked up from previous tenants and paint chipping away. The place did not come with any supplies, dishwashing etc. luckily we brought our own. When I entered the condo I realized that the sizing does not match the photos. This place is small, and was a little tight with just two toddlers and me and my wife. I really wanted to look past it, so I did. However I reached out to Vacasa to see about an adjustment. I was told that they can upgrade me due to my claims and due to it being within the first 24 hours. I waited, and waited, called, and then was told no due to being past 24 hours. (All on day 1). Fast forward to three days before my end date, the hot water goes out. I figured it was just everyone using the water in the facility. I waited until later, no hot water. Next day, no hot water. We were forced to leave after contacting maintenance about the issue and nobody ever reaching out. My children needed to take showers/bathes, as well as us. I wanted to hope that Vacasa was better, but its not. I hope to hear from Vacasa but ultimately I’m really disappointed.

Gulf Shores 2022

Great location! Overall, Island Winds East was a great property to stay (clean facilities, clean pool). The specific condo was fine. The basic cleanliness was good (clean bedding, counter tops, bathrooms, and appliances). The place does need a deep clean (wall and door frame splashes noticed, grout near bath tub and shower, and the floor of the balcony need some TLC. Also, the dryer lint basket was full. The walls, door frames, and doors need a fresh coat of paint. The bedding comforter on all beds were as thin as the sheets. My only real complaint is that on the first evening the smoke detector was going off and we couldn’t get it to stop. I sent a message with no reply. I finally got an email stating Vasca was busy and someone would get with me, however no one did. After about an hour, it stopped. We believe it was caused by steam from the shower nearby, but it was really disheartening that no one followed up with me. Lastly, I wasn’t able to location the WiFi password at the condo or in the correspondence as started.
