Villa Lucia is a private 6-suite, 7,000 sq. ft., Contemporary-Mexican style villa nestled on the hillside of Amapas, located just 3 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta’s buzzing downtown. This neighborhood is famous for its breathtaking views of the bay, and overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean, as well as stunning views of the church and the Romantic Zone. Villa Lucia is completely private, walled and well-secured in a safe, reputable neighborhood and faces directly towards the majestic view of the entire Bay of Banderas. This beautiful gem of a villa features organic details that blend harmoniously with the nearby tropical rain forest of the mystical Sierra Madre mountains.

The staff were phenomenal!! The house is stunning! And the food and drinks were exceptional! My group of 8 could not stop talking about how great of time we had. If I have a chance to go back to PV with a large group, I’d definitely come to this villa. I really couldn’t have asked for more!

Our stay at the villa in Puerto Vallarta was absolutely exceptional. The pictures do not do it justice. The view was breathtaking and the villa immaculate. The staff truly went above and beyond. Jessica, our concierge, kept everything organized, communicated all costs clearly, and welcomed us right at the door with a tour. Throughout the trip, she remained responsive to all our needs via WhatsApp no matter the time. During our stay, a large protest blocked roads for days, making travel difficult. Yet César, our chef, drove until he hit a blockade, then walked a kilometer and took an Uber just to reach us. This level of dedication blew us away.César’s food was incredible. Carlos crafted fresh drinks all day and always made sure we were topped off when needed, Patty kept everything pristine, and José ensured even the hot tub was ready and cleaned after a storm one night.The villa’s location was perfect for walking downhill into town, and Ubers back up were easy and affordable.This was more than a vacation; it was a heartfelt, unforgettable experience thanks to this remarkable team. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic Stay in PV

We enjoyed our time at Villa Lucia. We had 10 adults and there was more than enough space to spread out! The rooms are large with comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked great, even in the open air bedrooms. The staff is awesome. Chef Cesar prepared wonderful meals, and Paty made sure everything was tidy. The pools were nice, just be careful getting in and out as the tile is very slick. It's a steep walk down to the beach, and a cheap uber ride back up :)

Our stay at this PVR villa was absolutely amazing! We were a group of 10 and every part of the experience exceeded our expectations. The staff truly made the difference. The Mixologist kept the drinks flowing and the vibes high, while the Chef treated us to incredible meals every day. The Housekeeper ensured the villa was spotless throughout our stay, and we were always comfortable. A special thanks to Jessica, the House Manager, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed both before our arrival and while we were there. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Lovely villa

The villa was beautiful and had spectacular views. Jessica, the concierge, was amazing. The rest of the staff was great as well. The only two issues we had was the road noise from nearby construction that started early in the morning but the construction is temporary and no fault of the villa. We also needed breakfast ready at a specific time on two days to make our catamaran and atv appointments which didn’t happen on time; however, the food was wonderful and the villa was clean. Minor issues overall. Ultimately enjoyed our stay and would stay again. I recommend this villa if you want a great staff and spectacular views.

A truly perfect stay

Our stay at Villa Lucia was picture perfect. When my group of 10 arrived and was greeted by a round of tequila shots poolside, we knew we were in for something special. Our Memorial Day weekend trip was full of gorgeous views, incredible meals by our iconic chef Cesar, and a never-ending flow of spicy margaritas from our legendary bartender Irak. All logistics were fully taken care of - from groceries to transportation to laundry and cleaning. Truly couldn't have asked for a more memorable time, and am already locking down details for my next stay at Villa Lucia!

AMAZING!!

Our overall experience was amazing. From the staff of Cesar(great chef), Adriana(house manager), Chema(maintenance), Arlette(house keeper), Chanel(host) and Talia(manager). They were all so wonderful and helpful. We had 4 little ones with us but it was very safe environment for them to play. Cesar made amazing food and our family/friends loved it. Especially the kids and we know how picky they can be. We definitely will come back and highly recommend this location. House is beautiful and neighborhood is very safe.

Oh, What a View

This property was as wonderful as the pictures depicted. Upon entering the home we were met by the terrific staff and Talia, our Concierge with a grand tour of the property. Every space was exactly as represented. The bedrooms are all large and comfortable, each with its own sense of design, bathroom, patio and views. Pool area and all outside patio areas are comfortable and inviting with beautiful views of Puerta Vallarta and the Ocean below. The staff, including Cesar, a fantastic and creative Chef, Adrianna, his Assistant and Mixologist, our Housekeeper and House Man all provided whatever it took to make us comfortable. They were all extremely caring and supportive beyond our wildest expectations. This is my second time in renting a home with a staff in Puerta Vallarta and we would definitely go back to Villa Lucia.

Can’t wait to stay here again!

Our group of 10 chose this beautiful villa for our annual girl’s trip. The concierge Chanel organized everything from the start, including pre-arrival supplies and in-villa massages. Chef Cesar treated us to an impressive variety of delicious breakfast and lunch meals, perfectly plated and personalized to any food allergies or meal requirements. Our mixologist Adriana was with us most of the day helping Cesar or serving us a variety of beverages at the pool. Our housekeeper Arlette provided daily room cleaning, and kept up with our constant pool towel usage. Chema kept everything else running smoothly and also helped Cesar with meal service. The rooms were beautiful and the beds very comfortable. There were so many places to gather that we didn’t even use all the spaces. Our favorite of course was the huge infinity pool with an amazing view. We saw whales and dolphins every day and beautiful sunsets and fireworks every evening. The heated pool was so comfortable and the hot tub was the perfect temperature for the cooler evenings. We did walk to town a couple of times, but used Uber or Taxis to get back. We can’t wait to come back again next year. Thank you to the whole staff for such a memorable experience!

Absolutely the Best!

This was the second year at Villa Lucia for our annual girl’s trip. With an amazing first year, expectations were extremely high, but the villa, location and exceptional staff met every one of those expectations and more! Jessica, our attentive concierge, set the stage from the beginning arranging onsite spa treatments and transportation. The villa staff are amazing. Chema and Arlet kept the property clean and in order. Chef Cesar once again created the most delicious meals for us, making sure all of our food preferences and allergies were handled. Each extraordinary meal was perfection! Adriana is the icing on the cake! She is obviously a seasoned mixologist and created different drinks each day impressing all of us with a variety of delicious alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks! To top it off, Adriana and Cesar surprised us by decorating the dining room with banners and balloons for a surprise 60th birthday celebration we had planned. We usually don’t stay at the same place more than once, but after last years stay we had to come back. Now we are once again left thinking that we’ve found the perfect place to return to every year! Thank you to the villa staff for spoiling us! You’re all the best!

Villa On The Hill

Our group of twelve throughly enjoyed our week in February 2023 at Villa Lucia! The Villa is huge and great for groups of 10-12. Only one room is a little less exciting than the others with no balcony, but still a great view. The main pool area is great for sun lovers and has a nice shady couch area for those avoiding the sun. Could use a few large umbrellas and a couple more loungers but it’s magical and where we spent most of our time. The location is a bit out of the way and not easily walkable if you have mobility issues but Ubers are all under $5 CAD to and from ZR. The real value of this property is the team of on-site staff. We were spoiled by Chef Cesar’s daily breakfasts and lunches, and opted to have two dinners. Every single meal served met and exceeded our expectations. Adriana spent the most time with us (8 hours/day) as our mixologist, and also assisted during meal services. She has a restaurant management background and it shows. Her hospitality is at the top of the game! We didn’t engage as much with Arlette (housekeeper) and Chema (houseman) as they were more in the background, but they were lovely and kept the place clean and in repair inside and out. Talia, our off-site concierge was very easy and quick to communicate with when we had a question or needed a reservation. We spent about $300 CAD/pp in food and alcohol for the week, plus $140/pp in tips. Definitely a bucket list experience but one we wouldn’t trade!

Delayed 50th birthday trip

The property, the chef and the bartender were absolutely fantastic. This was a delayed 50th birthday party that was put on hold due to COVID in 2020 and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Cesar (chef) should be the head chef at his own restaurant. He was that fantastic. His chicken mole blew us away. He was attentive and was able to accommodate all of our food wants and needs. Always order refried beans. Adrianna (bartender) was always extremely attentive and kept the drinks rolling the entire week. Her various margaritas were fantastic. The villa had the most incredible views, the rooms were clean and it was so nice that each had their own bathroom. We played games in the main den areas but mostly hung out at the pool. Downtown was walking distance and if you don’t want the exercise climbing the long hill, take an Uber for $4-$5. Very safe area and we all felt very well taken care of. We had a blast and hope to return back to Villa Lucia one day. One thing to keep in mind is to always check your grocery list if you use the third party delivery service as we were accidently charged $265 usd for a 24 pack of beer when we should have been charged $26. Sare (concierge) fixed it once we let them know of the typo. Otherwise, it was an incredible experience and would definitely consider making the trip back to Villa Lucia on an annual basis. Dream vacation

We rented this home for an intimate bachelorette party and it did not disappoint. The house:Each room has an amazing view of the ocean. Each room is spacious and has a connecting bathroom. Perfect for a group our size. The house was big enough that we could all be in different areas and have privacy. A few girls could hang by one pool to lounge while the others stayed at the larger infinity pool and listened to music. The house has a speaker system so there was no need to bring a Bluetooth speaker. All of the rooms were enclosed but some of the common areas were open air which really gave the house a secret garden vibe. There were hallways and stairways we only discovered on the last day of our trip (which is crazy because we’re nosy gals). On hot days, the a/c worked perfectly. And when it wasn’t, every room had massive windows or doors that could open for a nice breeze. The location was walkable into town or even the beach of your group are “athletic”. Very steep hills. I would not make my lazy kids walk the hills and us girls definitely weren’t up for the challenge in heels. I genuinely cannot say one negative thing about this house. The staff: we had breakfast and lunch almost every day. The food was amazing. We had fresh brewed coffee and fresh squeezed juice every morning. The mixologist came up with tons of different drinks for us. We will definitely be back!More 2 say but running out of characters:(

Bachelorette Party Perfection

We had the best time at this house. We had 10 girls at the house for a bachelorette party. There was MORE than enough space/room/beds for us. We could have had 12-14+ people total and still be comfortable. The rooms had AC and stayed cool throughout the night which was nice in the middle of August. There were a ton of common areas to hang out in, all with views of the ocean. The pool and pool area was perfect for us. We brought floaties and they had some for us as well. We loved hanging by the pool all day, enjoying the view and having the mixologist (Arianna) make us amazing margaritas in many different flavors. The service was incredible. Chef Cesar made us gourmet, 3-course meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The spread each day was impressive. The house manager was easy to communicate with. We were texting on Whatsapp and when we arrived she helped us decorate one of the rooms for our disco themed bach party and helped us blow up the pool floaties. They had sonos which was great. I was able to play music all weekend throughout the house. I was a little surprised by how much they charged us at the end for groceries, meals and service... In the same breath, it was worth it. Just be aware that there will be a final bill. Overall I think the house is perfect for a family weekend, bachelorette party, birthday weekend etc. Thank you to the rest of the staff as well! Everyone was so accommodating and kind to us. The housekeeper, maintenance guy, mixologist and chef were all super helpful. I will definitely be coming back soon :)

beautiful property - outstanding staff - ...a few items to consider:

Villa Lucia is a multi-level house, that's layout allows for ultimate privacy for up to 12 guests to coexist with as much or as little interaction as desired. One room deep, all rooms have outstanding views of the bay. The incredible chef, Cesar, trained in a culinary program in Puebla, and his food is delicious and beautifully presented. The barkeeper Adriana made the most delicious infused waters and presented them beautifully. Both Cesar and Adriana were so attentive, kind and welcoming. They absolutely made our stay! A few notes to consider: Floors are unfinished Cantera (volcanic-like porous) stone and leave a residue on your feet that even the best housekeeping wouldn't be able to address. The glass doors into the kitchen and living areas are dangerous in that they are kept so clean that they are invisible and perhaps need some sort of decal application to make them more visible. The low railings all through the house make the property less than ideal for children as a fall from any level of the house would be unsurvivable. Hot water was great in some rooms, and lacking in others. Perhaps most importantly, familiarize yourself with local tipping standards pertaining to staff at luxury rentals. We found the guidance given by the property management company to be incongruent to comparable properties. The formula the management company asks for is $15 dollars per guest per employee per day, which would total $780 dollars per day in tips divided between the 4 staff members if the house were occupied to capacity with 12 guests. In our case, 8 guests would incur $420 in tips per day divided between the 4 staff members. As mentioned, the staff is exceptional and deserving, but just be advised that we found the management company's formula to be excessive and incongruent to local standards, which we determined to be 5% of the rental cost divided appropriately between the staff. If you do go by the management company's formula, calculate an additional 25% of the rental's total listed cost to be expected in tips. Beautiful views & Spacious Home- June 22

The pictures do not do this house justice! The views from every room are amazing. Every space was open, airy and comfortable. I came with 7 girlfriends who often travel together. There was more than enough space for us all to spread out. The pool was heated and is another spot with an amazing view. The jacuzzi was not working during our stay and keep in mind the pool is deep. What truly made this trip on top of the beauty was the mixologist Adriana and the chef Cesar! Food was amazing EVERY time and beautifully presented. Adriana is more like an experience curator. She made sure the music worked, helped us prep themed dinners and checked in with everyone individually to make sure they were enjoying. Truly so nice and attentive. All staff doesn’t work on Sunday, so we had more quality time with Cesar and Adriana. Be prepared for indoor/outdoor living at night. It was rainy seasons and the geckos and bugs descended at night. Our group has many allergies amongst us and it did require repeated communication to ensure certain foods were not present. The way this house is structured they shopped beyond the requested groceries to help create an experience and added in foods that are allergens unknowingly. I figured I didn’t add them to the list, so we would be clear. By the end Adriana knew each person by their “can’t eat” list, which was amazing. Overall, our style is to find homes where we could choose to explore or just stay in and enjoy and have a fulfilling vacation. This is definitely a house you can come in and enjoy great food, massages, pool time and views, never really having to leave unless you want to!

If traveling to the tropics during summertime (June - Oct) there will be some bugs of course (It's nature and there is not much we can do about it), however, the daily housekeeping usually will keep this in check as much as possible. Absolutely amazing- would give 10 stars if possible!

Everything about our experience at Villa Lucia was absolutely amazing. We would give 10 stars if possible! The villa is even more beautiful than in the pictures. It was an absolute dream with the most amazing views I have ever seen. We had 13 people and there was so much room- this place is huge! Multiple stories with gorgeous views and balconies off of every single room. A lot of open air with windows and doors that open up. The infinity pool overlooks all of downtown PV and you can see water in all directions. We watched gorgeous sunsets every night in the hot tub that they added right before our stay. They heated the pool to the temperature we wanted and had fresh towels ready for us each day. There’s a really great sound system throughout the main floor and the pool area- we just plugged in an iPad or phone and played whatever we wanted. There are multiple living rooms to hang out in, 2 kitchens, so many showers and bathrooms that we could all get ready at the same time. It was a short 5 minute walk downhill to downtown and the beach. It’s a steep walk back up, but Ubers are available for about $2 USD and are very quick. This is honestly the best place any of us have ever stayed and we would absolutely go back again! All of the staff were amazing and they took such good care of us. The property manager, Sare, was so helpful with our planning before our arrival and while we were there. She really took care of us and anything we needed- rides, massages, covid testing to return to the US, etc. The mixologist, Adriana, was amazing! She made us really good drinks and helped with our grocery lists, cleaned up after us, and was so friendly and fun to have around. The chef, Daniel, was fantastic and his cooking was 10/10! To wake up to a beautiful breakfast, overlooking the ocean and sunrise was unreal. We asked the staff to wear masks because of covid and they did with no problem. The villa was kept very clean everyday for us. We were there for my birthday and they surprised us with decorations upon arrival- they were all about the extra little touches to make it a memorable experience for us. There is nothing we would change about this villa. It honestly blew our minds and we felt so lucky to stay there!
