The home is nestled on a private wooded setting on the shore of Lake Esau and boasts a north woods feel with log furniture, tongue and groove vaulted ceilings and a charming gas log stove to take the evening chill away. Peace, quiet and tranquility and all the best Mother Nature has to offer will be yours. Located halfway between Alpena and Rogers City for an easy commute, as well as access to additional amenities.

This is our third stay and we love how comfortable the house is and how beautiful the location is. There is so much in the area to do. Swimming and kayaking at the house is great.
Just up the road at the Range Light harbor. Best swimming spot in Michigan.
Biking from Rogers City to 40 Mile point lighthouse.
Hiking at Thompson's Harbor State Park.

Beautiful and well maintained house. Everything was very clean, which is great for young kids always on the floor. We enjoyed the lake view. It was our second time staying and everyone wants to come back again sometime

Beautiful Lake Esau

This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. You can swim right in front of the house and we kayaked around the lake. There is a lot to do nearby--hiking, visiting lighthouses and we rode our bikes,

Great lake house

Well appointed lake house in a quiet setting. First time on Lk Esau and we had a great time. Always nice to be " up north" in the summer.

Family get away

Great view and access to the lake. The home was clean, comfortable, and equipped with any household needs . We plan on coming back , so peaceful and relaxing !

Fantastic week!

We loved this house! We do a lot of cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved swimming and kayaking on the lake. We also loved how close we were to some great hiking trails and the lighthouses. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Great Location and Accommodations

The cabin was very clean with great location on Lake Esau. The lake is beautiful, the cabin was well equipped and we even went kayaking. I would definitely stay there again!!!

Restful stay on lae

Great cabin. Great Lake. Quiet enough to enjoy the loons and the kayaks and the deck on the back of the cabin. We’ve stayed here twice and each time was spectacular!!

Wonderful house on a quiet, clear lake

We visited this property in mid July with our young kids and my wife's older parents. We LOVED this place! The house was well laid out, with plenty of space to relax and explore. Lake Esau was crystal clear and provided all sorts of entertainment - listening to loons while the sun rises, kayaking, and late afternoon swims. The property is tucked away off the beaten path, but close to many fun places - lighthouses within 10 minutes, Alpena within 25 minutes (great beach there!), and Ocqueoc Falls within 30 minutes. On top of that, the property owner was incredibly kind and very responsive. We'd highly recommend this one!

Relaxing Lake House...Great Vacation!

The house was just as advertised...clean, comfortable and located on beautiful Lake Esau. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, fishing and just enjoying the view. We can't wait to go back!

Amazing vacation

This was a beautiful place to stay. The house was clean and spacious. The view the best we’ve had yet. We love kayaking the lake, listening to the loons, watching the sunrise. We love to explore and do new things on vacation (and we did) but we also found ourselves just sitting and looking at the view. A definite place to visit again. Felt like home and hard to leave. Thanks for a great vacation.

Lake Esau stay

We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and just sitting on the deck. The views were beautiful. The house was just as it was listed, beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We cannot wait to go back!

Relaxing lake house with a view

We enjoyed our stay! This is a nice house for a visit up north but still has all the comforts of home. The view was great seeing the trees. We had fun fishing off the dock and the house was very close to presque isle harbor, beaches and lighthouse. Check in was easy, and the few minor questions/issues we had got instant response from management. The house was very clean! The beds were comfortable and each room was spacious. The mud/laundry room at the entryway was also very helpful to catch all the sand. We would love to come back and visit again!
