Desde el momento en que aterrice su avión, sabrá lo especiales que serán estas vacaciones. La recogida del conserje en el aeropuerto lo llevará a su "casa de vacaciones". The Residencias es el único lugar que ofrece la seguridad y las comodidades de un complejo de lujo y toda la privacidad de su hogar. Al entrar por la pasarela con arcos de palmeras, sabrá lo especial que es "Celito Lindo". Esta casa especial se abre a jardines llenos de flores tropicales y palmeras, muchas piscinas y las increíbles playas de Playa La Ropa. Lupita la criada hará guacamole fresco, zumo de naranja fresco y si te gusta comprar y preparar comidas para ti. Ella es una gran cocinera. *

Todas las camas han sido mejoradas y son suaves y cómodas. El dormitorio principal tiene su propio patio privado y un hermoso baño con azulejos de mármol y piedra incrustada. Hay una habitación 'litera' con 4 camas y un baño privado también. Cada habitación tiene su propio televisor y DVD palyer. Hay suficiente separación para la privacidad. En ambas unidades, la calidad es evidente. El jacuzzi privado que domina los increíbles jardines y la piscina es solo un elemento que hace que este lugar sea tan especial. Hay una cocina totalmente equipada, plano de planta abierto con sala de estar, patio y comedor con capacidad para 8. Hay una segunda unidad que se puede abrir para un total de 3 dormitorios y 3 baños, ideal para dos familias o más. Tenemos un sistema de música Bose y muchos juegos diferentes. Me encanta jugar al dominó, el tren mexicano es el favorito.
Estamos constantemente actualizando para que nuestra casa sea cómoda para el viajero exigente. Tenemos algunas obras de arte sobresalientes que esperamos complementen el estilo de nuestra casa. El patio en la sala de estar tiene puertas que se abren para que pueda disfrutar del calor de México, escuchar a los pájaros, tomar una copa mientras el sol se pone sobre el océano. Me encanta ver todas las diferentes variedades de pájaros en los árboles.
Si lo prefiere, pasee por los jardines bordeados de hibiscos, buganvillas y palmeras hasta uno de los restaurantes en la playa. La comida en The Viceroy es excelente y puedes comer con los dedos de los pies en la arena. Los restaurantes también ofrecen comidas más formales. El Virrey, formalmente Villa del Sol, es reconocido como uno de los mejores hoteles en México por Conde Naste, Travel and Leisure y Esquire.

Fabulous Stay!

We had a wonderful time - it's a beautiful condo in a great location. The spacious outdoor living space was the highlight - a great spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails.

A dreamy oasis

Our family loved our stay at Rich and Katy's place. The condo itself is a sanctuary of calm and relaxation, and my kids loved having access to all the pools on the property. We also loved being able to walk down to the beach and enjoy the water and explore the scene on Playa La Ropa. Rich and Katy were beyond accommodating with our shifting schedule, and Miriam helped us stock the fridge so that we were taken care of when we arrived. 10/10 would recommend!

Great Family 3 Bedroom Unit

We had a fabulous week long stay in this 3 bedroom unit. The pictures are good online, but it’s even nicer in person. The deck outside with the plunge pool is fabulous. We very much enjoyed the set up of the condo with 2 master bedrooms and one “kids” room. Having 3 bathrooms was a major plus. Drinking water was available and refilled upon request. We hope to return next year.

100% More Beautiful Than Expected

This property is beautiful! I really didn't expect it to be so nice. The photos don't do it justice. The owner has great art and antique doors that make the place extra special. Beds, linens and towels are all in excellent condition. Communication was excellent and prompt. Everything was very clean and cleaned daily (except Sundays). The unit has a plunge pool that we used daily and they cleaned it daily. There is a large lap pool that is a minute walk and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk. We highly recommend this condo and thank the owner for the opportunity to stay at such a nice place.

Amazing Zihua girl’s trip!

Me and 5 of my high school girlfriends all stayed at the Residencias Villas Del Sol for our 50th birthday celebration. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. This particular unit looks to be the nicest on the property with the lovely soaking pool on the deck overlooking the gorgeous tropical courtyard and property pool. Before our stay, Katy was super responsive in answering all my questions. Miriam was a dream to work with while there to have groceries stocked beforehand, book reservations, including a private in home chef, get recommendations about the area, even arranging taxis for us. The property itself was so clean and beautifully decorated with traditional Mexican art and decor. Beds were soft and comfy, bathrooms and showers were spa like, and all needed items were at hand including luxurious shower and beach towels and essentials like cooking oil. Proximity to the beach and convenience being located behind the Thompson (Hyatt) resort was so great and we took advantage of renting their cabana on the beach for a couple days of true pampering and relaxation. I would definitely come back to this VRBO as it is one of the best I have stayed at. Thank you for making our trip so special!

We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is fabulous, so close to the beach, has everything you need. Communication with owner and manager was excellent. Highly recommended.

Beautiful comfortable vacation home, great pool and beach access!

This property was so enjoyable! We loved the sleeping spaces, the open access to the outdoors, the swimming pool, and the proximity to the gorgeous Playa La Ropa. Property manager helped us with everything we needed. Top notch!

Very beautiful home. Great service. The only negative, if there is one, is access to Zihua. But for those who want a little separation from town this is perfect.

Villa del Sol

My husband and I and our 3 adult daughters stayed at Rich and Katy’s place in mid-December. To summarize - Wow! The unit is even more exquisite than it looks in the photos. Everything works beautifully, and many thanks to Miriam, we had everything we wanted, including a custom birthday cake for my daughter. She is so friendly and hospitable, not to mention attentive. Norma kept the place spotless, and as an added bonus, did the laundry! Directly outside the unit is an Olympic-sized pool and a kiddie pool. We spent a lot of time there but also enjoyed the beach, which is a block from the condo. The staff at Villa del Sol will bring cushioned loungers to the beach (where there are several Inexpensive yet delicious restaurants to choose from) if you wish. This unit is a bit pricey but worth every cent. The only negative thing I have to say is that we don’t live there full time! We hope to return this coming winter.

Amazing, Clean and Gorgeous Condo in Zihua

We stayed in this condo for a week in January. I simply cannot say enough good things! The colors and interior decor of the condo are breathtaking. Instantly felt like I was on vacation the moment I opened the door. The condo has its own small private pool (the size of a hot tub) which was such a treat. The deck/balcony areas had wonderful, cozy furniture which was perfect for lounging and reading books. There is even a mini fridge in the balcony for easy access to a beer or soda! The beds were extremely comfortable and the a/c worked wonderfully after a long day at the beach. The bathrooms were clean and had all the amenities you would need. The private beach is only a few steps away. If you call the concierge, they will set up chaise lounges and towels for you on the beach. Plus they will serve cocktails and food right to your chair. The pools are very clean and lovely. There are so many things to do in this area. Many cute beachside restaurants and bars just 5 mins from the condo. It isn't too crowded which is nice as well. There are some incredible 5 star restaurants within 5 min taxi drive of the condo. It was very easy to get a taxi - the concierge helped with that too. I honestly cannot say enough about this property. It's gorgeous and such a treat!! I consider myself a pretty tough cookie when it comes to accommodations. I cannot think of one area for improvement here. The owners are also an absolute delight to work with. Very helpful with suggestions. Oh and there is a sweet cook who will make you breakfast in the morning. Best chorizo and eggs I ever did eat :) Don't miss out on this experience in Zihua! It was my first trip but I will definitely go back and stay here again.

Zihua Heaven!

Our group had the most wonderful week at Katy's condo in the Villas del Sol. Everything was perfect - Miriam was so helpful (fridge was stocked full of the groceries we requested), Lupita was so sweet (and patient with us while we practiced our Spanish), and the condo was gorgeous (it really looks even better than the photos). It was also the perfect location - short walk to the beach, and very easy for us to walk to all of the wedding activities we attended next door on the Viceroy property. The pool is quiet, too; never more than 1 or 2 people there during our stay. Town was a 5 minute cab ride, and the Villa Del Sol office will arrange the taxi for you - very easy! We would love to come back to Zihuatanejo again, and absolutely would stay at Katy's place. Gracias Katy, Rich, Miriam, Omar, & Lupita!

we were headed for a wedding in zihuatanejo and we were fortunate to hook up with rich and katy and the use of their condo....what a great location and for us the perfect vacation. katy and rich's condo was beautiful and a "short" walk to playa la ropa. property managers miram and omar could not have been more accommodating and lupita (maid) was the best. the town of zihuatanejo was just a short taxi ride away - fine restaurants and "shopping". or you could just walk on the beach for some great beach front meals. the condo is in a great location within the complex....great for rest and relaxation. 5 star....we will be back!!!! darlene and patrick watsonville, ca

Five Star Luxury and Service with MUCH more space and privacy than resort rooms!

At the risk of never being able to book this beautiful condo again I am writing this review because we absolutely loved our recent stay in this unit. The owners are very helpful and the condo is even more spacious and pretty than the photos describe. The unit directly overlooks the large swimming pool dedicated to the condos and was almost always empty. Sun loungers surround and there are outdoor showers, restrooms, and shady areas poolside as well. Behind the unit and up a few steps is a smaller pool with views over the lush resort to the bay; my husband and I were the only ones at this pool for a week. The large plunge pool with surround interior seating on the condo terrace is lovely for a late afternoon dip and if you want additional privacy while cooling off there are roll down blinds to completely screen off the area. The sliding doors and windows do have screens although we did not see a bug all week. The kitchen was well appointed; we made breakfast there most mornings and snacks in the afternoon. The Mega grocery store is a $4.00 taxi ride away in town; the security guard calls taxis for wherever you'd like to go. It would be easy to make dinner in the condo but we preferred to walk up the beach five minutes to La Perla most evenings to watch the sunset over the beach activity and a margarita. It's a two minute walk thru the lovely resort grounds to put your toes in the sand and you're right in the middle of the arc of mile long Playa la Ropa beach with easily surf for swimming and all kinds of water sports. The bed was super comfortable, linens were lovely, shower water pressure was awesome with plenty of hot water. Miriam, the property manager was there to meet us with the keys, a full orientation, and had stocked the fridge with requested wine and treats for just the price of the groceries. Lupita the maid is darling and does a great job. Hope you have as great a vacation in this condo as we did!

Wonderful Vacation Spot!!!

This place is Amazing!!! We had a wonderful vacation - relaxing, swimming, reading and shopping in the town of Zihuatanejo. The units are spotless, well maintained and very comfortable. I brought my Ipod to hook up to the music system - great sitting on the patio overlooking the gardens with the private jacuzzi listening to music - This is the Life! The owners were very helpful with our needs and very knowledgeable about the area. Very safe and comfortable. We would highly recomment these units to our friends and family. Looking forward to returning soon!! Best vacation!!! A+++++

We loved it!!

What a great vacation! The location is nothing short of perfection, being in the middle of the nicest resort on the finest beach in the best vacation spot in all of Mexico, and then... you've got the condo. It's nothing short of fabulous. Once you get there, you might not even want to leave. It's too tempting to just lounge around in the cool water in the little private pool and sip on a cold cervesa and read a good book, or sit in the living room and take in the view, or take a nap on the patio. I have to confess, we spent a lot of time doing just that. But once you're able to rouse yourself and venture forth, there's just no place like Zihua, and in Zihua, no place like la Ropa, and in la Ropa, no place like Villa del Sol! It's just gorgeous. One of our favorite things was breakfast (or brunch) right down on the beach. The food is delicious. There's a nice breakfast buffet, but my favorite was the stuffed poblano chile. They even have good coffee, and if you've been to Mexico, you know how great that is! And then go for a walk down the beach. There are tons of other good restaurants in walking distance, kayaking, sailing, swimming, snorkeling, shopping, just about anything you might want to do. We had such a great time, we almost cried when it came time to leave. The owners Katy and Rich left no stone unturned in seeing to our comfort, and I have to say, it was one of the best vacations we've ever had. We will be back!

My Husband and I met at a local parade. I am lucky enough to have lived abroad and my Husband studied in Mexico City as a young man. We both love to travel but also love the Town of Zihuatanejo.
I have been visiting Zihuatanejo since 1984, My husband and I were married in Zihuatanejo at the church in town in 2002. When we got married we decided that rather than buy a large home we would get a place in Zihuatanejo so we can always come down when we want and hope to retire here one day..I have been a Realtor for 23 years and my husband is a flooring contractor. We have one black Lab. We love coming here with our friends and spending a fun filled week or two. My husband loves to sport fish and recently won a small car in the local annual fishing tournament for the biggest Marlin caught.
We both graduated from UCSC after attending different Universites. I went to Colorado College, and my husband was at UCBerkley after returning home from Viet Nam. We are lucky to find a spot that is so soothing for both our busy lives.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

It is only a 4 hour flight and then you are on the beautiful beaches. It has warm weather, amazing food and drinks. Zihuatanejo has great restaurants and lots of fun shopping and galleries but maintains the Mexican Culture and is a small fishing village. It offers some of the best sport fishing in Mexico and the warm water is wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. My husband and I were married in the small church in town. We have been coming here for 16 years and we love it.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Great outdoor activity, excellent sport fishing, beautiful beaches and warm water. The walk through the tropical gardens to the beach is so lovely. The resort is completely secure and worry free. Which makes it Relaxing and fun. It provides amenities for every age and every desire, from being fully pampered to being left alone completely to read a book. Every need is met yet there is more privacy than staying in a hotel. We love getting up in the morning to take a long walk along the beach, swim and then have a breakfast of fresh papaya, mango and melons.
