Fantastic home for large groups. 12 of us did the bourbon trail over five days. Patio was nice for gathering outside after a long day. Centrally located to the bourbon trail. 20 minutes from downtown Louisville. Owners were great to communicate with. House was clean and as described.

This house has lots of room for large gatherings. We were here for a graduation and could accommodate all of our guest from several different states. The only downfall for our group is that we had a handicap guest and the house is not wheelchair accessible (it was built in the 1800s so the doorways are narrow) but that didn’t deter us from having an amazing weekend.

We brought a large group to a conference in Louisville and it was perfect to have all of us stay together. It was a historic house, full of charm. Only negative was the warm water ran out quickly with so many people.

This house had several good things about it…..but it had several bad things as well. I’m not sure which out weighed the other! For the good….the house is roomy for a big party. It has a very nice large room with a nice amount of setting space for a gathering room…..it has a large dining room……the outdoor space in the back is really great with lots of room for kids to run and play or for adults to just sit around and talk…it is a fun house to explore with all of its idiosyncrasies. Now for the not so good…most of the beds are very uncomfortable!! Several of the beds are not conducive for adults to sleep in….at least not for adults over 30. The house is very old and it definitely smells it!!! It is musty smelling and there was an old urine smell in the room my husband and I stayed in. The grounds were very unkept….grass was high and just did not represent well. The cushions to the outdoor furniture in the front yard need to be thrown away…..they are nasty. We only rented for 1 night so we all sucked it up and made it work but no way would we have stayed longer with the smell and the bed situation. We did not complain to the owner…. After arriving there it was too late to do anything different and we didn’t figure there was much that could have been done to help at that point. I will say the owner was very good at responding to me prior to arriving with questions I had.

Thunder over Louisville family weekend

We needed a property with both indoor and outdoor space to hold our group of 13. This place was perfect! They were responsive to my revisit questions, the checkin and out process was easy and the home was amazing! We hope to book it again next year.
