Summer Place #501 is a PLATINUM RATED property on the 5th floor offering one of the largest balconies on the island. A little outdated, but serviced its purpose

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation was great, perfect weather, beautiful water. The condo was just a place to sleep, but really could use some major updates, cosmetically, and the washer & dryer function, but could also stand to be updated - very noisy & did not get everything very clean, but served its purpose. However, the mattresses do need to be replaced - very worn out & it would be good for any "extra" blankets to already be clean & ready to use (they were not). We did have a small plumbing issue & the management company was very quick to respond & get it corrected. We consider these things minor, because the beach met all our needs, but a good nights sleep would have been welcomed.

Great Location

There’s a lot of construction taking place on the property and a lot of conflicting signs as to what was available for use. It looked as though one of the elevators and the heated pool and hot tub were closed when they were not. Once we figured out we were able to use both elevators and the hot tub it was a wonderful stay.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a really pleasant experience at Summer Place. This was our first time to stay here. It was not overly crowded, so that was a major plus. The owner of this particular unit needs to spend some money and update the bedrooms with new mattresses and better pillows. We paid a premium price for late May and the amenities did not reflect the cost. We enjoyed the fact that we could walk to restaurants from our room. The grocery store was also very close. The stagnant construction of the bridge is a detriment to this community and to the area as a whole. The State should regulate their projects more efficiently. I did not observe any actual work activities on the bridge while we were there. It would behoove the county and state to oversee and expedite their projects in a more efficient manner so that the tourists and locals can get to their destinations without wasting 1 to 2 hours sitting on Highway 98. Overall, the experience was positive. I am personally in the construction business, so I know inefficiency and lack of oversight when I see it. We will definitely stay at Summer Place again in the future.

Waking up to the ocean!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall everything was good. I loved the view and being able to hear the ocean while laying in bed. This condo gives you 4 chairs for beach service which was amazing. The location is in a good spot with all the things you may need within a 15 minute drive. The other bedrooms are at the front of the condo by the door which for me was a bit uncomfortable because our kids are little. The host messaged back immediately with any issues and communicated very well. One pool was supposed to be heated however, neither pool was heated. This was a bummer for me, but the kids used it. I would definitely recommend the property to anyone who is looking for a beach vacation. It was very relaxing and enjoyable for our family.

Relaxing week with friends

Check in was super easy. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time on the large balcony if we weren't on the beach or at the pool. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The weather was beautiful the entire week. We only left the premises twice. The complimentary umbrellas and beach chairs were an added bonus. I highly recommend Stewby's Seafood. We placed an order one evening and picked it up. It was delicious. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place for the week.

Wonderful vacation

The condo was wonderful and as described. Property management sent our check in info to the wrong number, but it was cleared up within an hour. We had Wi-Fi issues due to a storm prior to our stay and it was fixed quickly. Umbrellas at the pool and updated grilling area would be a great update for the complex. Having 2 sets of beach service was awesome, but going down to the beach very early every morning to reserve a chair that the condo owner has always paid for wasn’t fun. They did not give you an option to reserve for the week. Overall beautiful clean condo and we would stay again!

Great Location

The condo was very nice and the balcony was very roomy. We had a few hiccups during our stay. One the elevator was not working on our floor for several days. It was a holiday weekend so they didn't get it fixed until Tuesday. Two the beach service guy was very rude. I spoke to him several day and each day he was very rude. Didn't explain how the beach chair service worked. In past condo's we rented all you had to do was tell them your condo # and they would set them up for you each day and put a marker on them with your room #. On the third day we came to the beach he said it was first come first serve, and to check in with him each day. Could have told me that the first day! Other than that was a great condo and would stay there again.

Great location! Second year staying here! Met our needs. It does need updating in Master Bath, replace huge tub with a great shower. Found a few dirty dishes and silverware. We will come again!

Our stay was good. I can't complain about much. The room with double beds has a fan thats very off balance and noisy and the pots and pans need to be updated. The toilets have issues with flushing and the handle is very positional. The shower was full of hair in the drain so my husband was able to address that. Overall though the condo was amazing. These are just FYIs to address for future guests. We had an amazing time.

Great stay as always!

4th year and the stay is a great as it always has been. Only comment is that, with new property manager, the check-in and check-out times apparently differ from the listing causing us to wait around a bit. Otherwise, an excellent stay as always!

We LOVE Summer Place!

We LOVE Summer Place & have stayed at Summer Place for over 18 years!!! We had to change condos this year as our person decided to use theirs for their family only so we rented another unit but needless to say it wasn't near as clean as the one we were use to... We will continue to stay at Summer Place but maybe try another unit next year.
