**Now Pet Friendly!!!** Modern and luxurious cabin perched on a hillside and nestled against undeveloped forest in the exclusive community of Wildwood Forest. This home offers the unusual combination of convenience and tranquility (7 minutes to Highlands Main Street and 10 minutes to Cashiers). The cabin sits at an elevation of 4200’, providing cool temperatures in the summer. The lush rainforest climate has created an envelope of stunning foliage and privacy from the porches.
The home has 3 bedrooms (2 King, 1 Queen) each with a private bath and large walk-in closet. The two King bedrooms are each equipped with High Definition TVs . The open floor plan allows you to enjoy the gas stacked-stone fireplace in the living room from the gourmet kitchen. Enjoy watching the large HD TV while relaxing on the plush oversized leather sofas. The adjacent dining area and breakfast bar provide plenty of space to entertain family and friends. The loft area has a comfortable sitting area and a desk for those who need to take care of work while enjoying time away.
Sliding glass doors open to breathtaking wooded mountain views and a deck designed for hanging out and enjoying the quiet or entertaining. The cabin has 2 very large screened porches (over 1000 sq. ft.) with comfortable outdoor seating and dining furniture. A separate outdoor grilling porch is equipped with a Weber Genesis Grill.
For your entertainment, a Bose stereo system with CD player and IPod dock and DVD player are provided in the main living area. The home is equipped with WIFI, 3 large flat screen HD TV’s with cable & premium channels, games and books.
A convenient stacked washer and dryer accommodates laundry needs. Dry cleaning is available in Highlands and Cashiers
The home is fully stocked, towels, linens, soaps, tissue, garbage bags, paper towels, cleaning agents, vacuums, etc.., Ceiling fans, Kitchen/dining provisions, professional grade appliances, disposal, blender, food processor, coffeemaker, multiple sets of dishes, cutlery, glassware, flatware & bar items, Ample cookware/bake ware, serving pieces and linens, propane outdoor grill, seated main dining for 4-6, Granite counter, breakfast bar for 2-4.
We endeavor to make our home feel like your home and keep the kitchen stocked with basic supplies. We ask that all our guests use the honor system and replace what you consume for the benefit of those who follow you.
Wildwood Forest is a small, exclusive community in the Smoky Mountains, nestled against untouched forest. The community has ample opportunity for walking in the neighborhood. There are a tremendous number of options nearby for exploring the spectacular outdoors (Whiteside Mountain is just a mile away) and for dining out in Highlands and Cashiers (menus await your perusal in our dining guide). A copy of The Highland Hiker is also provided to assist in planning your outdoor adventures.

[All of the homes managed by Highlands Vacation Rentals have wifi internet access(speeds may vary based on different providers), basic kitchenware & dishes, linens provided, and a starter set of amenities including: 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom + A set of personal shampoo, conditioner, hand & body soap (also per bathroom), 2 paper towel rolls, a few kitchen trash bags, a kitchen sponge, some dish soap and a couple of dishwasher and laundry detergent pods. ]
CANCELLATION POLICY: Our cancellation policy (effective for bookings confirmed after April 1, 2024) is outlined below:
For reservations that are 21 days or less, A reservation cancelled ( by email receipt ) between 0 - 45 days prior to arrival is not eligible for a refund. If reservation is cancelled more than 45 days prior to arrival, guest shall receive a refund of all payments made* less a cancellation fee of 10% of the total cost of the reservation AND the cost of any trip insurance if purchased.
*Refunds do not include third-party service fees as those are determined by the booking site and we do not control how those funds are processed.
For any reservations that are more than 21 days, No refund will be given unless the property is re-rented over the previously booked dates.
You may purchase Travel insurance to cover your trip for cancellations. Contact Highlands Vacation Rentals for details.
