Located just south of Downtown San Antonio, this cozy duplex home has two bedrooms, two & a half baths, full kitchen & living room, plus a washer & dryer, WIFI, Central heat & A/C. All bedrooms & living spaces have TV's. Common area includes backyard with picnic table & BBQ pit. Great for short or long-term stays. Located in the Lavaca district, part of Southtown & just south of downtown San Antonio, six minutes away from the Alamo, the Riverwalk, King William & other tourist attractions.

Relaxing Getaway

Great experience

I had a great experience renting here! The owner was responsive and a life-saver when I was looking for a place at the last minute during the Final Four weekend. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay close to downtown for a great price!

Retirement get away!

This was a perfect location for us, we love to walk and ride bikes! Great if you want easy access to river walk and down town! Trains didn’t bother us

Downtown Duplex

The place was very clean and very nice. Owner always answered any inquiries very quickly. The only issue is the train tracks are just behind the back fence and it runs every 15 minutes 24/7. I got to where I just ignored it but my husband would wake up during the night hearing the train going by.

Super comfy and clean!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! It was nice and clean and so comfy. The only thing I would like to add is to be aware that the bed in the back room is a full and the pull-out couch is the 2nd queen size. Went with another couple and they had to squeeze into the full size bed. No complaints just something to keep in mind.

Prefect

The duplex was prefect it sits in an older neighborhood but very clean, quiet and the area was very well maintained. Roosevelt Park is within walking distance and there are quite a few places to grab a bite or drink. Easy access to 37, I-10 and a 5 min. drive to the River Walk area. The Duplex itself was clean, nice, updated, and beds were comfortable. Each bedroom had its own RR, Shower and TV, plus a RR in the hallway. Parking is a little tight but that would not stop me from staying again. The check - in process was one of the easiest Thanks to Shawn

Nice space

Overall good. Right by train tracks and heard trains almost 24 hours a day. Minimal kitchen utensils, so don’t expect to prepare many meals. VERY clean though. For sale sign of the property went up on day 2. So not sure How long this property will be available.

Thin walls and loud train

The house was very beautiful and clean. But there is a train that runs every 5 mins or so and it’s LOUD. Also this duplex has very thin walls!!! We literally heard the conversations of the other occupants and their children running and stomping very early in the morning.

Excellent!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The duplex was spotless and was decorated beautifully. The kitchen was stocked, had a coffee maker and coffee, and had ice trays (a luxury I didn't have in a previous VBRO rental). Bedrooms and bathrooms had everything we needed. The queen bed and pillows were very comfortable. Check in and check out were smooth and easy. All of our questions were answered almost immediately during our stay. While we did hear the train on occasion, it never disturbed us while we slept. We would definitely consider this rental again on future trips to San Antonio.

Clean Home, near very loud train

It was a nice home and generally clean - although the second bed had sheets that had some hairs all over the sheets. The mattress and pillows were kind of cheap, but were fine for our stay. The main issue with the home is that it is right next to a train that runs throughout the night. There wasn't a mention of this on the listing OR in reviews (which makes me question the reviews because it was a really really loud train). I bought some foam earplugs to sleep, but in general, would not recommend.

San Antonio Spring Break Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property in San Antonio. We were looking for close and easy access to the Alamo, Riverwalk, and Downtown San Antonio. This location was great! The property is newly renovated, very clean, and cozy!!! The train runs right by the property but for my family and I this was not a problem. I could see how it might be an issue for some families depending on their needs and preferences. Overall for the price, location, and cleanliness I would highly recommend this home for your stay.

Great place to stay

Check-in/out and communication were awesome. The neighborhood is super convenient to the Alamodome and river walk! It's an older area with some newer and some older homes. The train is loud at times, but not awful. I got used to it after the first night. There are fans in every room- which we really appreciate! We had an issue with the neighbor's outside light, texted Shawn... quick response and taken care of. It's still a little bright from that light... maybe curtains will be needed (it looks like that house was just recently finished so its a new thing). Overall, it was a great stay!

Great spot, centrally located

This place was a nice find in a great location, close to downtown and st Mary’s st. Two beds, 2.5 bath. 1 bed is a trundle/daybed but it was comfortable to sleep on. Shawn was always easy to communicate with. The one thing with this location is there is a train close by that runs fairly frequently. It didn’t bother me, but may not be great if a baby is trying to sleep or something. I would recommend though for adult groups or families with older kids.
