Meadows Mill House II, an 1830's grist mill in a past life, now serves as a fully functional modern day residence. During your stay in the carriage house, we encourage our visitors to explore waterfalls, relax by the fire and simply take it all in. Centrally located between historic Opelika, Auburn and Columbus Georgia- all with plenty to do. So grab a friend, bring your family, we look forward to seeing you here soon at Meadows Mill!

Very peaceful. Clean. The sounds of the creek provided a relaxing atmosphere on the enclosed porch. Pool was seasonal so we were not able to enjoy its uniqueness.

This is a beautiful property. The river behind the house is breathtaking. The house is very old, but very clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I needed to lock myself away from the world to push myself forward from the sudden death of my father. I checked in the Mill-House a broken, grief consumed, isolated shell. After 4 days, 3 nights and loving guidance of a childhood friend, I was able to see reason to push forward and enjoy a life my father would be proud of me for. God met me in that beautiful sanctuary of nature. Putting my feet in the current, strolling holding hands with a dear friend, sitting on the rocks and crying out to God to take all the pain from me. Please Heavenly Father heal my heartache. And God did all I prayed for. From my experience at the Mill House, I am building a life long relationship with a man who reminds me daily “ I AM PRETTY INSIDE & OUT”. I am grateful for the strength that tiny house was built upon. Keeping the original foundation of what it use to be to crafting a masterpiece of beauty cherishing the parts that tell a story.

Quiet cabin

The cabin was nice and the location was great for my trip. Nice size for at least 3 adults. The river waa nice to sit and listen to in the early morning with a cup of coffee. Nice area for small dog.

Great Get-Away for Quiet Time

Beautiful renovated cottage that provided a few days of quiet and relaxation off the busy interstate about 40 minutes from Auburn University. Enjoyed the relaxation of the screened in back porch with a beautiful view of the creek to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Beautiful, Historic Cabin Overlooking Creek and Waterfall

This was such a unique place to stay. It feels like you’re stepping back in time, in a good way. Everything was very comfortable and clean. The interior and decor all felt very authentic and honored the history of the property. The host was exceptionally helpful and responsive. I had to extend my stay unexpectedly and he was quick to assist and make sure I had everything I needed. It’s close to Auburn and Opelika, and there’s a Dollar General 3 minutes away for any essentials you might need. Will definitely stay again!

Perfect place to relax for a night

Spent the day hiking, then stayed here for the night. It was a nice end to the day. Loved the historical aspect if the house,and would love to know more about it.

Wonderful Retreat!

This was the second time I stayed here and would highly recommend it to everyone! It is a beautiful cabin with a fantastic view and an easy drive to Auburn through the countryside. The owners are great and communicate very well! I wish I could stay longer!

Unbelievably Peaceful

This is the most cozy and peaceful property that I have ever experienced. The back porch is a little piece of Heaven on earth. The house is so clean, cozy, and comfortable. You are surrounded by peaceful nature sounds. The hosts are very friendly and make the check in/out process so easy. We are already planning our next stay!

Close to Auburn

We visited Auburn University on a football game weekend. The cabin is about 20 minutes from campus. We arrived after dark and had to drive by a couple of times to make sure we had the right place. (My fault though for not throughly reading the checkin instructions on location!) The cabin itself is charming, super clean, and the host emailed to check on us several times. I wish we had had time to enjoy the outdoor spaces! We would definitely stay here again.

Little Gem

The Meadows Mills House is wonderfully renovated but still maintains it’s original character and charm! It is welcoming and cozy and makes the most efficient use of space. The natural surroundings are beautiful and instantly calming. Host thought of everything - binoculars were a nice touch as were the yoga mats and weights on the screened back porch for a morning workout! Joseph is very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend. We will be back!
