Ocean View- 5 min Walk to Beach, Volleyball

Welcome to OBX Beach Treehouse! Enjoy your morning brew with an ocean view on top of the crows nest deck! Prime location, between Hwy 158 and Hwy 12, with a crosswalk nearby which makes for a convenient 5 minute walk to the beach! Tons of outdoor space including a multi level deck, volleyball court and a closed in fence for privacy. Our awesome Tree Swing is tons of fun, there's corn hole, and board games to enjoy for game night!

The space was recently updated and includes almost all new furniture! Enjoy the prime location of beach access, restaurants and local activities that are a short drive or walk away. Plus you'll love the additional shade provided by a very rare Live Oak Tree. Inside you'll find 3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Baths, Family Room and a cozy Den to enjoy.

Note: One of the bedrooms is on the first floor and a "starter pack" is provided for each stay of 1 paper towel roll, 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom and 1 trash bag per trash can.

Free Parking in front of the home. Exterior cameras are present facing the front yard and backyard deck.

This house is amazing! I couldn't recommend a better location or host! As a travel nurse staying in a new place can be scary but the home is located on a quiet dead end street in a safe neighborhood not to mention is SUPER close to the beach. 10 out of 10 recommend it!

Good stay, but could use improvements.

Location was great. House is in good shape overall, and we enjoyed our stay. Though, it could use improvements. They only provide 5 body towels. We had 5 people, and only had one kitchen towel/rag. Could use some more kitchen items. There wasn't anything to bake a dish in the oven with (big pyrex or something similar), and the majority of the knives had significant rust marks on them. There's also a big water stain over the kitchen sink. Found a piece of glass in the volleyball sand (which was not ideal, considering my 2 year old was loving playing in the sand), and there were several old socks lying around the backyard. You have to stand up every time to adjust the tv volume as there is no tv remote for sound, but the ROKU was a nice touch. There also wasn't any detergent to wash anything in the washing machine, but this is not a standard to be provided. Light switches and ceiling fans are a little janky in the two bedrooms upstairs. Some don't work or make a lot of noise when the fan is running. Shower head could be fixed with a simple replacement in the master. They provide corn hole boards without bean bags, and the volleyball was flat. No other beach amenities provided, which again is not standard, but would be a nice touch. Outdoor shower is nice. It also helps to have the back gate entrance to make the walk to the beach a little shorter. Overall good stay, but this is clearly a home bought to be a rental. It can be great with some more love and attention to detail.

Loved this house!! I stayed with a group of great friends with this great house, comfy beds, fun volleyball court in the backyard and easy walk to the beach! The decor and cleanliness of the home makes me want to book again!

Clean Property with Great Location

This property was close to the beach, which made it easy for us to walk to the beach with little ones! The host was very responsive to any questions I had and the property was very clean and well decorated! I especially enjoyed the second story balcony!

Great trip, however there was one issue that is a bit concerning.

The property manager was fantastic. Our trip was almost cancelled due to unexpected property damage caused by a leakage, less than a week before our check in date. Ariel offered a full refund and even extended herself to help us find a new place, but the place was exactly what we were looking for so we decided to wait and see if they finished the job! They did, and the trip was great. My only singular (and rather large) issue, is that the beach volleyball court in the backyard was not well kept. I found numerous pieces of broken glass, crushed aluminum cans and there were weeds growing everywhere. The first night was spent clearing out what we could, and then hoping we did a good job. I advised everyone to wear shoes if possible when using the court, since I did not want anyone to slice their feet open. I was quite shocked this was the case, since every other aspect of the place and property manager were 4+ stars. House was nice, sleeps 8+ people with room to spare, location was good and amenities were on point. I hope in the future the whoever is in charge of prepping the place does a better job at making the court safe to use, because after MY GROUP and I removed the potential hazards, we had a blast using it!

Meh…

It was our 2022 last minute get away… The place needs some serious cleaning. Kitchen utensils were mostly rusted or dirty. Pots and pans were mostly scratched. First floor was so cold it was like a freezer. Second floor was really complete opposite. One of the bath tub was clogged so, we unclogged it…

Ready to go back! Definitely recommend!

We would definitely stay here again. It is an older house with a few quirks but LOTS of recent updates. For context, we rented the house to be a group of 6 but dwindled to just 2. Pros: the location is perfect. It is a couple of blocks from the ocean (with nice beach access on 3rd street) and a couple of blocks from tons of stores and services. The front porch shaded by the live oak was a real pleasure. We also enjoyed the nice new deck work all around. All the exterior wood work was sanded smooth so we never worried about splinters. The rooftop deck was a great vista for sunsets. The AC worked great. The house is roomy and had all the elements of a light, airy “beach house” that we look for. There were plenty of different spaces to relax inside AND out which would be great for a larger group of 6-8. The outdoor shower was nice. The shower head had been removed and that initially concerned us but turns out that the “waterfall” experience was really quite nice. It is covered from the sun and all the woodwork was new. One really nice perk is that the kitchen, both bathrooms, and the outdoor shower are really close to the water heater giving instant hot water. The water pressure is really nice! The house is nicely appointed throughout with up-to-date decor and definitely not over-the-top which is great. We really liked the hard surface floors for tidiness. Cons: most of the “cons” are quick fixes and there wasn’t anything that made us feel like not returning to stay here. It would be nice to have a way to get to the outdoor shower without going through the house. There was a privacy fence gate on that side but no latch on the outside. An clear, clean path around the front of the house would be great too. The deck walk to access the outdoor shower from the back door was new but minimal, just enough for single file walking. The walkway could easily be expanded to make a larger lower deck. There wasn’t a latch on the outdoor shower door which would be nice with a larger group. We wish there was more flatware/silverware provided. It was ample for our party of 2 but for the 6 we had planned would have meant constant dishwashing. I didn’t see a larger sheet pan which would have been nice for cooking/cutting our pizza the last night of our stay. (NOT a deal breaker). A toaster would be a nice addition. Our host was very a responsive and easy to reach. Some cleaning issues were quickly addressed by the host and property management company.

Everything offered

From two hammocks, cornhole, all dishes necessary to prepare food, plenty of blankets and board games, this house offered more than enough to allow my friends and I to stay comfortably and happy!

Thanksgiving stay

Property was very nice and just as the pictures described. We would stay there again. My only “issues” were that there is no covering on the front door so you can see right in, easy fix we hung one of my kids blankets over the window in the evenings. The blinds were a little difficult to open but we didn’t spend much time in the house so not a huge deal. House is in good renewed condition and in good location. Owner is easy to access and quick to respond. Cleaning fees are a little steep but maybe that’s just the area or recoup of cost? I’d def recommend for a family the layout gives space to enjoy and breath. Hope to stay again if we make it down that way.
