Waterfront Beauty with Lovely Intercoastal Views. 2 Bedroom/2 Baths Plus Trundle

Located directly on the Indian River/Intercoastal Waterway. Gorgeous river views. River access with our own fishing pier. Next to a Community park with pavilion, triple sized charcoal grill, and several other fishing piers (docks). Commune with nature. Serene, quiet and renewing waterfront experience. Set apart. Yet, it’s surprisingly close to restaurants and shopping. Some morning traffic, muffled. There are two patios. One is outside of the Master bedroom. Imagine how lovely to have breakfast or evening cocktails right outside your bedroom sliding glass door. Or wake up to a pretty sunrise. See the birds touching down or dolphins at play.
As cute as the two bedroom house with separate trundle bed area is, the crowning jewels of this property are the location next to the park and our own sprawling waterfront backyard. Between the two you can explore the riverfront for quite an extended distance. Plus, you can play ball, throw frisbees, have a picnic, go fishing, follow the cycling paths, walk on the boardwalks, or launch your own kayaks.
You will love it!

Easy on the eyes, hard on the nose. When I pulled into the driveway, the first thing that I noticed was the huge grassy backyard. It lead to the ICW intercostal waterway where a beautiful sailboat was drifting by. But be aware that they just drilled a new well and there is sulfur water in the area. Upon opening the door to the house, a strong sulfur odor hit me. I texted Diane. She was quick to respond and knew about the malfunctioning water clarifying system. The plumber visited 3 times until the problem was fixed. The rooms are large and open with many windows for viewing the sunrise over the ICW. The dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer were a nice plus and the beds are comfortable. Directly across the highway is a restaurant. I would recommend the “Italian Fisherman “ for a fun evening with good food.

Check in was fast and easy. The Host lives nearby and is quick to respond to any questions or needs. Big backyard leads directly to the river and a private dock. Husband had a great time fishing from the dock. Caught rays, jacks, a snook, speckled sea trout, catfish, and even a grouper.Rooms are spacious and open with large windows, two patio areas, and the dock for viewing marine wildlife and beautiful sunrises on the intracoastal. Plenty of fresh towels (including beach towels) and linens are provided. Laundry facilities allowed for lighter packing and fresh towels/linens throughout our stay. Dishwasher worked well and was a plus when cooking in. We utilized the gas grill several times. Be aware that some cookware surfaces are wearing and may not heat evenly. Left-side stovetop controls seem opposite . . . “H” is low heat - ?? Bakeware, dinnerware, and utensils are provided. Beds are comfortable. The house is very close to US 1 and train traffic, but a noise reduction sound machine and ear plugs are provided which handle noise quite well. There is a walking park next door with a boat launch nearby.This location is equidistant from Sebastian and Melbourne, offering a wide variety of restaurants and things to do and see in the area.Thank you to the Walker family and to our Host, Diane, for allowing us to relax and enjoy this vacation gem! We look forward to returning next year!

Check in was fast and easy. The host is quick to respond if you have any questions. The house was clean and a good size. We fished off the dock and had a great time. We caught jacks, snook, black drum, mangrove snapper, cats and rays. The only issue we had was the house is on sulfur water, just a heads up, there is a smell to the water.

As for the sulfur smell, we have an iron breaker/sulfur system in the garage. If you call us, we can check the system. It’s either low salt or filter needing replacement. Easy fixes. Great place, very clean, and smells fresh! Diana, the host, is super quick and very friendly. We definitely recommend it, and the price is unbeatable! It’s right on the river, which is amazing, and the boat launch isn’t far away.

Great location, nice unique rental

Our family of 4 with 2 teen boys really enjoyed a little visit here. Great location to explore the area. We went to downtown Melbourne for St. Pat’s celebration, also explored some nice parks for biking and kayaking in Vero. Enjoyed morning walks in the park Nextdoor, and enjoyed watching the wildlife in the backyard and river. Would stay again.

Needed a Vacation!

We had a wonderful visit with family that live near the home. Did some fishing didn't catch much but it is a relaxing place to stay. The house is clean and well appointed. We love staying here. Diane is a very nice lady.
