Riverside cabin with excellent kayaking and fishing

Enjoy 200 ft of waterfront all to yourself! This camp provides ample indoor/outdoor living with an oversized screened in porch. The Grasse River is perfect for Kayaking and highly sought after by fishing enthusiasts.

The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a loft area that is best suited for children who are able to independently climb a ladder. The living room is equipped with a pull-out couch (queen) as well as a pull-out chair (twin). There are sliding barn doors on the living room for added privacy.

Outdoor living at it's best! Previous guests have enjoyed viewing bald eagles, deer, herons and other wild life. There are multiple outside decks and a covered front porch. Relax by the fire pit with Adirondack chairs overlooking the river. You will find a large gas grill on the deck for summer cookouts.

The camp is stocked and ready with all kitchen essentials, board games, DVDs, 2 Netflix-enabled televisions and a starter arrival package of toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap. There is a washing machine, however, the dryer is not hooked up at this time. A clothing line is available outside for drying.

This river front cottage was absolutely beautiful and perfect for a weekend getaway surrounded by nature. There was so much provided for us to do, from games to DVDs. Communication with the host was very open and quick to reapond and accommodate any extra needs. The property grounds were well taken care of and brought us so much serenity. It was a wonderful stay!

This is my third stay here. The home is always clean and well kept. The view from the back is stunning. It’s so peaceful and I look forward to coming back. The home owners are very pleasant and responsive They obviously care for their home and try to make our stay warm and they certainly did that. Thank you for the added touches.

The property was beautiful, quiet, and the river was amazing. The house had all the amenities that we needed, the bed was comfortable, but we spent most of our time in the screened in porched which offers an amazing view of the river! We would definitely stay at this property.

What an amazing and relaxing vacation home! Pictures truly don't do it justice! The place was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Perfect family trip with lots of things in the area to do, beaches, museums, fishing. Hosts are very quick to respond to questions. Wi-Fi worked great! Enjoyed ending the day around the fire with a perfect sunset view! Would love to return!

Relaxing stay by the river

I had a wonderful stay at the Grasse River Getaway. The setting was quiet and peaceful—exactly what I needed to unplug and recharge. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything in the cabin was clean and thoughtfully set up. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway.

An amazing fall stay

This was such a great getaway. Hosts were fantastic. Recommended Jake’s on the lake for dinner - couldn’t have been happier. Our accommodations were incredible - many subtle touches that made our stay that much better. The outside space is terrific and the screened-in back room was awesome. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us!

Grasse River Getaway

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Grasse River Getaway. The house is located on a very peaceful spot along the river and the screened in porch lets you enjoy the sights and sounds of the water rushing by rain or shine. Very close to McKnight's Maple Market and just down the street from delicious calzones and pizza at the Mills Country store, we would definitely stay here again!

A piece of serenity

Chase Mills River House

This house was amazing! When we pulled up and heard the river in the background we knew it was going to be an amazing stay. The first two nights were very cool and everyone slept great with the windows open. Coming from South Florida this was perfect! The last couple of days were warmer and the AC units inside more than kept the house cool and comfortable. The location is far enough away from town but also close enough to get what you want/need as far as groceries. Overall this house is a great place to stay for a relaxing getaway!

We enjoyed the privacy and the quiet location. We were able to hear grasse river from the enclosed patio, it was very relaxing. The hosts were very helpful.

We loved our stay here!

This was the perfect location for our family's long weekend away! The home was clean and laid out well, with lots of thoughtful touches that made the stay more enjoyable. I noticed another review mentioned water quality, so we brought our own water, but there was also a water cooler in the kitchen area of the home. The master bedroom loft and pull out beds in the living room provided plenty of additional sleeping space for our family of five. We loved the screened in porch and the many windows/slider doors that helped connect the inside space to the outside. The property is beautiful; we enjoyed watching and listening to the river from various places in the backyard space. I wasn't familiar with the area, and the owners provided us with some great suggestions for local activities. Overall, we had a wonderful visit, and would certainly stay here again if the opportunity arises!

Front Row Seat at FALL 2023

The view was fantastic. Mornings we sat in the living room and watched the river endlessly flowing past. At lunch we sat at the kitchen island and watched as the maple leaves came down one by one. We appreciated the privacy the place afforded inside and outside. We would stay here again.

Great riverside retreat

What a wonderful, relaxing location with beautiful outdoor spaces! We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit, doing a little fishing and unwinding in this perfectly appointed home. A short drive to Potsdam, it was the perfect place to relax in between Clarkson family weekend events. So happy we found this little gem!

Last minute weekend getaway

We had a great time at this property unplugging before the chaos of school begins. The property was as described. It was very clean and well equipped. The screened porch was a wonderful place to unwind and play card games with our boys. The river wasn’t great for fishing during our trip, but it was a beautiful setting and we enjoyed relaxing next to it while our boys played football in the yard. The fire pit was great for relaxing and making s’mores. Overall, it was a great vacation to wrap up summer break.

Love the River

My husband and I had a very relaxing stay. Everything was nicely decorated and comfortable. The screened in back porch was where we spent most of our time, watching the wildlife and listening to the sound of the river. The river was high when we got there but it came down enough for fishing after a few days and my husband enjoyed bass fishing. We were able to have a couple of fires in the firepit and it was relaxing there with the sound of the river and the warmth of the fire. We hope to return again in the future.

Very nice camp on the water. Beautiful propery.

Beautiful family camp on the water. The river is too fast too kayak, at least for us, on this part of the Grasse River. We didn't see anyone in the river here. It has a very strong current. It sounds wonderful when enjoying the beautiful screenroom, deck or llawn area at the river. There are beautiful views of the river & the property is wooded & the gardens are pretty. There is a nice campfire area on the side of the camp. The kitchen has everything that we needed. The bed & furniture was comfortable. The water from the taps is sulpher water & we didn't expect that. You can't smell it much when using hot water for shower & dishes, but otherwise you can. We bought water for coffee, drinking & brushing teeth, etc. The screen room was my favorite room. Unfortunately we had an emergency & had to leave. We were very sad to leave such a relaxing environment.

Grasse River

This is a wonderful property. The house and setting are exceptional. It was very relaxing to sit on the screen porch for meals or other activities; we were so glad we were there because it was often rainy while we were there, and we had a very comfortable place to relax. We also could sleep with all the windows open and enjoy the sound of the river. There are some nice hikes nearby also. Highly recommend it.
