We highly recommend you pass on this company. This trip put the STINK in Distinctive Beach Rentals.We booked our stay through VRBO for Tradewinds Condominiums on Cresent Beach. The listing was posted through Distinctive Beach Rentals.Directions to the "office" are for a different business, some difficulty finding actual unit. The unit was nice and clean. The problem came with arriving to find out the pool was being drained, and construction was beginning on a major pool renovation. No where was this mentioned in the listing. We opted for beach swimming instead. We were supposed to meet with others and ride together to a wedding. We got back from the beach only to find the water was turned off and we were not able to shower or get ready!!My husband spoke with the property manager on site, who informed him that management had sent notices out to the rental companies and property owners to inform them of the planned construction. I sent an email immediately to Distinctive Beach Rentals. The only response I got was a lame voicemail blaming the water problem on a water line break (not true according to property manager) and stating they were unaware of the construction project (again, untrue according to the property manager).No comp or discount was offered for our inconvenience which shows how worried this company is about return vacationers. Do better by your guests, DBR.

Ground Floor Luxury

This ground floor unit is nicely furnished, the kitchen is well equipped, it is just steps to the pool or ocean. Plus you have the Intracoastal Waterway right across the street. We love this area of the beach because it never gets too crowded yet you are 15-20 minutes from downtown St Augustine and all it has to offer.

Nice place but no beach access

The condo was very nice, well supplied. We did have an issue with the unit and complex having ocean access. There was a long term project, causing people to visit the neighboring resort in order to get access or as instructed to drive to a public beach access. Since just having knee surgery this was more than just a little inconvenient.

Wonderful

Although we did not know we wouldn't have direct beach access (we had to walk next door) everything else was perfect! We loved the ground floor unit and beach access will be available next time. We will be back! The unit was clean, had plenty of room, kitchen had decent equipment and it was very comfortable! We are regulars to this area and love it there. The price was awesome especially over the holiday.

Second time in this apartment, and I think fifth time at Trade Winds ,we just love it. Hoping by the next visit the construction of the new wall will be done .

Great location but NO beach access

Our visit started off fine but immediately changed on day two of our eight day reservation. The condo was very clean and as advertised except for the beach access and view. Seven of our days had the beach access blocked and our view impeded by multiple pieces of heavy equipment. The fact that we were given no notice prior to our arrival was very frustrating and very much caused a dissatisfaction with our rental. The whole reason for spending this amount of money was to enjoy the beach and all that it has to offer. We should have requested another location on our first day of no access to the beach. I will be seeking some compensation from VRBO and the owner. Otherwise it would have been a perfect location.

Tradewinds

Enjoyable. Comfortable beds, living areas. The kitchen stocked well with utensils, cookware, pots, and pans. Location clise enough to stores, resturants yet far enough away from busy life.

Great Apartment

Since there weren't any reviews before we booked so we were a bit aprehensive. Once we arrived and open the door, all our apprehensions turned into joy. This is a fully renovated property with everything pretty much new. We didn't see a washer/dryer on the listing and were a little concerned; however, the property does have both.
