Lovely place

A spacious apartment in our favorite location near Buccaneer Beach. Everything was as it should be, and the owner was quite responsive about a couple of minor issues. We'd stay again

Great experience and awesome location! Our family enjoyed our stay here it has everything we needed from kitchen necessities, sand toys, and an extra pull out couch! We would definitely come back and Jacqueline was quick to respond from checking in early to leaving the condo!

Great location!

The property was exactly as advertised and was perfect for our family. Great location and easy access to everything! It was a little too cold to use the pool but this is a definitely a nice amenity.

Place was just as advertised. Beautiful, clean and great location. Kid friendly and kind neighbors. We enjoyed Oceanside and Carlsbad so much we extended our trip by a day.

Home away from home

My wife and I have stayed here 3 times cause of all of the things you want for your stay. Location, cleanliness, accuracy of listing, and just the atmosphere that some places have. We will do it’s to stay here until we purchase our own.

Jacqueline is an exceptional host. Check in was detailed and easy. Excellent communication from start to finish. The property was clean and perfect for my family. We all marveled at how comfortable the beds were! Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Girls weekend

This rental looked exactly like the online photos. It was super clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable too! The check in process was a little tricky because the only way in is through the garage and they are not numbered. But it worked out! It is close to great restaurants and local shopping; not to mention steps to the beach! The owner is very accessible as well. We had a great time!

Amazing Vacation Home

We had a great experience at this property! The host had great communication and made sure we got checked in smoothly as well as provided pictures to easily find the property, which was especially handy when arriving in the dark. The home was very neat, clean and comfortable for our group of 4. The beds were SO comfortable, we were all very impressed. The washing machine and dryer were so nice to have. Was a nice quiet area with super close access (walking distance) to the beach. We didn’t use the pool/hot tub at all but looked like a nice area. Would recommend 100%!

Family Christmas

The manager/owner was excellent, easy for questions & answers. Very quick followup for every inquiry. Inside looked exactly like pictures. When the tide was down, the sunsets were gorgeous on the beach. We were in Carlsbad more then Oceanside. You would need a car(uber,lyft) if you wanted to be there more. This unit is not near the Pier(downtown). If the weather was better, we would have rented bikes, other then that, the downtown(?) wasn’t an attraction for our group. Oceanside seemed like a very lowkey, day drinking/beer/brunch kind of vibe.

Cute little place!

Loved the location and vibe of the property. Neighbors were nice and great to have garage parking. Beds were comfortable except for the couch bed which was almost un-sleepable. Very thin and uncomfortable mattress but if you don't need to use it then you are good! Better off just creeping on the made up couch. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of towels and bonus to have beach chairs! Property was pretty dirt, we had to wear our shoes inside so our feet wouldn't turn black, could use a better cleaning job for sure. Also the dryer didn't work which proved to be a big problem for us since we had to wash my sons baseball uniform for his games each day. Hopefully they have that fixed soon, but all in all a great little place to stay!

Pop's 80th Birthday & Pre-Anniversary Family Vacation

We enjoyed our Wedding Anniversary stay at Casa De Luna so much last year, we had to return! Contacted Jacqueline to let her know. Booking was easy. Checking in and out was a breeze! This time we brought our two sons. There was more than enough space for us four. We were in town to celebrate my FIL's 80th birthday as well as celebrate our pre-anniversary. We were able to get to everything we wanted within walking distance or a short drive. There are a lot of restaurants nearby as well as 5 thrift stores which my sons and I enjoyed going to. My sons played basketball just down the street after we enjoyed a light breakfast at Buccaneer Cafe. We walked to the beach which is very close by. We took advantage of the well-stocked kitchen, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. Jacqueline has everything at Casa De Luna. There were plenty of extra towels and toilet paper. We appreciate how our host was always quick to respond and her sweet and thoughtful anniversary card and bottle of wine. Before we even left, my husband said, "we have to come back". Thank you, Jacqueline, for a wonderful home and being an amazing host. We will return!

Spacious & Amazing Location

If you’re looking for a place comfortable enough for a family of 5, this is it. Plenty of room, additional blow up mattress, plethora of clean linens and pillows. Garage parking, well stocked with beach toys, kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, etc. Felt like a home away from home. We also love this location. It’s within walking distance of everything we love in Oceanside/Carlsbad. Under 2 mile walk to Carlsbad restaurants or Oceanside Pier. And several shops, restaurants, and beaches within 1/2 mile walk. Jacqueline was quick to respond to messages and we felt she cared about our vacation and comfort.

Wedding anniversary

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here . There were plenty of places to eat close by and the walk to the beach was within 4min walk. The home had everything you need and the garage parking was an absolute plus.

Wonderful stay

It was so nice to spend the weekend here. It’s cozy and well decorated. We loved daily breakfast at the Buckanear Cafe. There are lots of great restaurants for lunch and dinner 5 blocks away. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen is well stocked. We found a nice beach to swim at just 2 blocks away. The kids loved the pool as well. Overall, it was a great stay.

Convenient and cozy, perfect with kids

Had everything we needed. Loved how equipped it was for kids—a pack n play, toys, kid dishes. Close to a park. Just wish there was a sandy beach nearby, but most are very rocky. Drive to Carlsbad beach just 6 min away for a good beach.

Loved our stay!

My daughter had a beach tournament out in Oceanside. We decided to rent a vrbo and make the best out of our stay in Oceanside. We were very pleased with everything! It was very clean and everything seemed to have a good placement and easy access. For our family of 6 it was a great fit. We enjoyed the beach and some great food during our stay. Highly recommend this place!

Just wonderful

Had everything we needed. Nicely remodeled/upgraded. Toys for the little kids! So close to the beach, you can even hear the waves from the living room.

Great place right on the water!

This property had everything we needed and Jacqueline was great! There were toys for our kids, a great park right down the street and two rooms that fit all of us. It’s on the second floor with no elevator, which was the only downside with lots of stuff. But there was also a garage we fit our large infinity car into, so we could leave things in the car. It felt safe with a locked gate and a deadbolt and was well decorated and very clean. Highly recommend!

The Best of South Oceanside

We loved this home! It was the perfect size for our family of 6. The home was exceptionally clean! The furniture and beds were 10/10 comfortable. LOCATION, we came back to the same spot in south Oceanside because of the walkability! Every morning we took the kids and walked to the coffee shops close by and then walked around the area enjoying the other beach homes and ALL the beach views! It’s located right by two beach spots where we saw dolphins multiple times. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to south Oceanside!

My name is Jacqueline and I am a lover of cozy spaces, delicious food, quality time with loved ones and attempting to keep all of my plants alive.

I earned a Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development. After studying Communicative Disorders, I received my license as a Speech Therapy Assistant.

During my studies I worked as an Assistant Property Manager at a low income housing complex for senior citizens and families. It was this role that made me fall in love with the thought of managing a property one day. The guest's experience is what captures my interest the most. The thought of you walking into a clean, cozy place and putting all of your stressors at ease makes me strive to create the most enjoyable experience for you and your fellow guests.

I am confident that my work experiences and education provide an ability to communicate effectively and promptly, empathize with my guests and create an environment that is safe for children and adults.
