When you book a stay with us, you are not just booking a stay you are booking an experience of a lifetime. Our views are the ultimate best in all of Utuado. We are not like other stays, we offer VIP tours directly from the property making your stay that more special. All of our guests leave happy for a reason and we want you to be able to enjoy as much as possible and experience the best of what our town has to offer.
Your stay is in a very spacious One bedroom Studio Suite with kitchen in a quite pristine house centrally located in the heart of Puerto Rico. You will feel right at home with features Quiet seating areas and spectacular Mountain View’s that are breathtaking.

The property is located in the heart of Puerto Rico in the beautiful town of Utuado.
Conviently located it within a short distance of the Indian Ceremonial Grounds, many rivers and waterfalls, and approximately 30 mins to beaches and outlet malls

The space
The Apartment Studio Suite is for your exclusive use. The Suite has its own Private Entrance. The Large Cozy room has its own private full bathroom, Smart TV equipped with Satellite TV, a full Kitchenette with an oven/stove, refrigerator and freezer and an island in the kitchen area. There is also a pull out sofa along with a small table and two chairs outside of your room.
Guests can enjoy the large garden and pick fresh fruits The patio area has plenty of outdoor space featuring spectacular amazing mountain views. And a heated infinity pool over looking the mountains to relax your day away .

A Great bed & breakfast home to enjoy the Puerto Rico weather all year long.

Dinner available upon request with an additional fee. Also if you want an in room massage that too is available.

Please note there is one more rental unit on the property. If your group is larger we have a 3/2 that can accommodate up to 6 persons. If interested in booking both units kindly Let us know.

We cannot say enough good things about our stay. Jose and Christine were the most gracious hosts. Even their son rolled out the red carpet. I did not expect the view and the temperature to be as good as it was. We will be back for sure and not soon enough. Thank you Jose and Christine.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Christine and Jose, we felt so welcome. Christine was amazing at sending information about anything and everything that we talked about. We were given all the local spots; favorite bakery, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy etc. She even arranged for a traveling masseuse per our request. My husband and I both enjoyed one of the best massages ever out on a covered balcony overlooking the views. The apartment was perfect for us. We also had full use of the heated infinity pool which had amazing views of the mountains. My favorite part was the huge deck area. It had multiple areas to sit for morning coffee, lunch, dinner. We enjoyed using the BBQ for breakfast and the Wood Oven for making pizza. Jose was a huge help with setting up the fire pit and the wood oven for us. We enjoyed eating the pizza over a glass of wine with them both. By the end of our 3 nights /4 days trip, we felt like we were staying with family. Although, they both gave us our space and privacy whenever we wanted it. They were just so pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. The location is beautiful and has all kinds of plants. It was pretty special having a coconut plucked from the tree and drinking the coconut water within 5 minutes. We would definitely return to stay with Christine and Jose! I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Love La Posada

Christine and Jose are delightful hosts, so friendly and helpful from the moment we got there. The views are stunning, the bed is so comfy and the pool is amazing. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It's close to Batey Adventures which has an amazing tour of caves on the Tanama River. We wish we had stayed longer to see more of the beauty in the area.

This property is a great place to get away from it all. If anyone ever told you, you have your head in the clouds, they might be referring to your stay at La Posada. Jose and Christine a great hosts and can answer all your questions. They know the area very well and can and will make your stay pleasurable.

Very nice property. Christine and Jose top notch. Magnificent views. Pure Puerto Rico! One caution: Give yourself time to climb the mountain to property. Mountain roads narrow and ribbon-like. However, if you make a wrong turn (and you will), Christine and Jose will help every step of the way.

Spectacular Views

As you step out of the apartment, you see an amazing view of the mountains. Early morning, as the sun peaks over the mountains, clouds are settled into the valley. The infinity pool has great views as well. Luckily, the weather was beautiful, and our hosts were able to show us some of the favorite spots near their home. The views of the drive were breathtaking!

Perfect vacation

The host's were very polite and helpfull their place was cozy and clean with everything we needed i got the vip tour if the waterfalls and they paid for every meal and drink then two days later they took me to some bars and paid for that as well we enjoyed our stay they went above and beyond and i will most definitely be going back

Flabbergasting Views with a fantastic host

The property was beautiful with views that’s you could stare at all day and truly enjoy what peace of mind is. Jose was great in showing me the area and making sure my stay was truly awesome as from the heated pool to the views that can last day and night. The surrounding places to visit for food and groceries is all very pleasant as well Jose did great in suggesting places close by from food, things to do, and really Anything you may need.

Epic views and amazing hosts at La Posada Mountain Retreat!

La Posada Mountain retreat was an amazing, relaxing experience with epic views from the property. Our hosts Jose and Christine were amazing and very helpful in making sure we found our way there safely. A safe, quiet location and convenient parking by our unit. With picture-perfect views from the heated infinity pool, fire table, and outdoor bar area. Our unit was spacious and stocked with all the essentials. Our hosts were quick to respond and very friendly. They were close and available on the property if we had any questions. We added an optional experience to do guided day tour with our experienced hosts which we loved! They took us to places with amazing views, sites off the beaten path, took videos and photos of us and showed us their favorite hole in the wall must-see bars + favorite restaurants. We loved every place we went to and wouldn't have been able to fit it all in without their guidance. Even with sporadic rain throughout the day, Jose and Christine closely watched the radar to ensure we could see some amazing views in between. We even got to meet some friendly locals! Everyone we want was nice, laid back and welcoming. We got to visit a 200 yr. old bar called "El Ambique" a must see! A piece of Puerto Rico prohibition era history. We met the owners which made it special. Our hosts made the best of our short 2 night stay & adventure! The only thing we regret is not staying longer. This is the first VRBO that we are excited to revisit again and see more of!

Beautiful Sunrises & Gracious Hosts

Breathtaking Mountain Views. Inspiring Sunrises. Serene Nightly Frog Symphony. The BEST Hosts! The hosts live on-site, which was enjoyable and helpful. Highly recommend going on excursions with them. We had the best day at spots we would not have found on our own. Jose was a gentlemen helping us from rock to rock on extreme hiking trails, and was kind to our nervous souls when driving on mountain roads by slowing down and waving the locals to pass (which he did naturally without being asked). We enjoyed their company on a full day of activities from 8am to midnight! Unfortunately, we got some rain during our stay and we're looking for things to do. They found a massage therapist, who lived an hour away, to come and give us massages in our suite. I think they would do anything to give their guests the best experience. I would return to Puerto Rico just to visit them!

Most Gorgeous Views in Puerto Rico

I’m so glad we got to experience our stay in the mountains. The views and sounds of nature are phenomenal from this place. The fire pit and the pool were so perfect to come back to after a day of beaching, exploring, and enjoying adventures. The views are absolutely wonderful during the day, and at night the moon and stars were brilliant as ever. The hosts were available at a moments notice, they stayed on the phone with us until we found our destination when we got lost. They were willing to be as involved as you needed them, but also let you be. I honestly didn’t realize anyone would be on site, and was a little surprised the first day. But then was super grateful to have help at our finger tips. And they were extremely accommodating to us and our vacation needs. I felt very safe and at home. Mountain driving was definitely a new exciting adventure. Honestly the only thing I would have changed would have been the firmness of the bed, it was a little hard for us, but that’s all personal preference. But the outdoor space views, sounds, and the mountain experience make it all worth it. We were talking about bringing family next time. Arecibo is about 40-45 minutes away with lots of activities, restaurants, and beaches. Can go hard during the day, and relax at the VRBO in the evenings. Great experience, thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality. We’ll probably be back!

Paradise

Place is as advertised and even more beautiful in person. Great place to go for a cultural experience or just to hang out and relax. Christine & Jose are the best, very friendly and accommodating. I plan to come back at the very end of this year. I stayed at this location a week and really could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this stay to anyone.

Amazing Location

Fantastic sunrise views through neighboring mountains and green forests were amazing. A warm pool overlooking mountain valley, grill, fire pit and bar were feet from our rental door. The star gazing from deck is stunning. Above all we loved our hosts. We have never had hosts so accommodating, friendly and resourceful. The cave tour they provided afforded us with a truly memorable experience. Recommendations for restaurants, swimming holes, beaches, hiking trails and other questions were gratefully responded to right away. Jose and Christine are the best hosts!

Most AMAZING vacation ever!!!

Jose and christene are the most amazing hosts and their property could not have been better! They gave us so many wonderful places to go or you couldnt go wrong with staying on the property. The most amazing view from the pool will have all your worries washed away in a heartbeat! If you plan to visit puerto rico this is no doubt the place to stay and away from all the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. Thank you so much jose and christine we will be back for sure!

A Magical Place in the Mountains of Utuado

I was excited to get out of the city and into the mountains because I love the landscape and people out in the country. What I found with Jose and Christina is that they were 100% country hospitality. This lovely couple took the time to lead me to the property, introduce me to their friends, and even find the best excursion so I could feel like I was right back home in nature. I also felt right at home at their place, which is situated in what feels like heaven! I stayed on the deck in daylight and moonlight because it was just so beautiful to take in the mountains while listening to the coquí symphony. If you like making new friends like I do, then I highly recommend you take them up on the offer to hanguear. We went into town together and visited their local spots and I had an amazing time getting to know Utuado and the wonderful people who live there. I already let them know I will be back with my family in tow. I give their home and hospitality my highest recommendation! Hasta la próxima vez!

We loved it here!

We stayed here for two nights and the inside looks exactly as pictured. The property is beautiful, the view is unbeatable, and the hosts Jose and Christine are some of the most down to earth people we've had the pleasure of meeting. They really went above and beyond with making us feel at home during our stay and even had a bunch of recommendations on stuff to do around the island! We were able to plan out one of the most memorable days I have ever had thanks to them. We were treated with the best hospitality and we really loved the pool overlooking the mountains, the views were incredible!

Welcome! We are Jose & Christine. My husband is originally from Puerto Rico and we both were raised in Miami Florida were we meet. In 2019 we opened our first vacation rental property in Miami and were very successful. With like dreams we sold everything in Florida and moved to PR. After several months of searching for the right property we came across our Mountain Paradise. We are pleased to have the opportunity to share our gorgeous property with others
