Our new home has 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, each one is like its own master suite. Take a soak in our hot tub or enjoy the night sky around the firepit. Enjoy the 14 foot bi-folding patio door that oversees the gorgeous mountain ranges in Kanab. Get much needed rest on our high-quality mattresses. High speed internet is included with your stay making it the perfect place for remote work. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook anything. The outdoor space is unmatched with a playground, corn hole, firepit, hot tub and outdoor table.
This cozy house was named after the desert tortoise found in Southern Utah. We are located between several national parks, Zions, Bryce Canyon, Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon (open from May to October) and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. In addition, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is located within a 15-minute drive. There are also plenty of hikes located in and around Kanab, including the world famous “The Wave” hike. Our favorite is the Moqui Cave hike. Imagine exploring any one of these beautiful locations and coming back and taking a soak in our hot tub or enjoying yourself around the campfire looking at the stars. There is plenty of parking in the 2-car garage for your car and any toy you bring. Kanab has access to OHV, ATV, hikes and biking. A gravel RV pad is located next to the house available for your use. Located in each room is a smart TV so you can watch all of your favorite shows from your favorite streaming service.
House Rules
• No Smoking
• No Pets
• Upon departure load and start dishwasher
• Take a shower before using the Hot Tub
• Remove shoes at the door. Shoe racks are located near the front door and in the laundry room.
• If doing more than 2 loads of laundry please purchase your own laundry detergent.
• Make sure fire is turned off when finished using it
• Make sure grill is turned off and all food is removed
• Remove all food and ice from fridge upon departure
• Place all used linens in a pile to wash

Please note: there are security cameras on the perimeter of the house and in the garage. There is a camera near the front door, one on the west side of the house, one in the garage and one on the back patio overlooking the backyard.

What a gem! We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home and loved it! It had everything we would have hoped for including activities for the family and kiddos. It was a great location and beautifully decorated and setup. The host was super kind and easy to communicate with. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Extremely comfortable place

We loved our time at this house. It was extremely comfortable for our family of five and was well stocked with everything we needed. Super convenient location to go to Zion and downtown Kanab. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic family property

Clean, comfortable, perfect location for all of Kanab's adventure spots. Our family especially appreciated the hotbtub and backyard toys. The beds and furniture are nice and perfect for lounging after a day of adventure.

Our First Time- Coral Pinks Sand Dunes

Overall our stay was great! A Clean home. And my youngest loved the hot tub and playground. I would say the location of the home with parking was a struggle when you have two trailers with three UTV's and a quad. However we loved the convivence of the 35 min drive to the dunes. Would stay again, without our toys.

Perfect home base for trip

This was the absolute PERFECT homebase for us on our trip. We planned to go to Zion and Bryce Canyon for my birthday and this place had everything we needed and then some. The location and proximity to the parks and the surrounding area was perfect. The house was super clean, easy to access, and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfy, the showers were clean and well stocked. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit at night when relaxing and winding down. This was an adults trip, but we could definitely see how accommodating it was for families as well. We will definitely be coming back!

Home to visit the Parks

What a wonderful home to make base camp for visiting the National Parks in southern Utah. King size beds and ensuites made this a perfect choice. Even was able to have a family Cornhole match! Top notch home!

Awesome vacation home

House is very well appointed. Everything works well and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay. Its location is central to all the parks we wanted to visit. Beds are super comfy. You will not be disappointed!

Perfect house, perfect backdrop, amazing stay!

We stayed for the week, and the property is amazing. Easy to find, super accessible (zero steps, if that matters for your party), quiet neighborhood, had everything we needed. The hot tub was great - even for the kids, and having the playground there made everything so easy. The kids loved being able to play while we ate dinner. Bring shoes they can slip on easily, because the playground is on rocks. We would 100% stay here again. It was clean and had plenty of towels. There wasn’t any detergent when we arrived, so just pick some up on your way in town.

Book this place!

I have stayed at a lot of VRBOs over the years but this was by far the best managed. I was highly impressed with how this place had everything I needed/wanted. Everything from plastic utensils for the toddler to excellent guides/descriptions of good hikes! This place itself is lovely with great views, and the location is very convenient.

Wonderful house in Kanab

We had a wonderful time in Kanab. This house was beautiful. It was very organized. The beds were comfortable. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, playground- and especially the doors that open up all the way in the family room. While here we visited Zion, Bryce, PeekABoo slot canyon and many trails in the area.

Excellent location, perfect accommodations

We rented this beautiful, well-maintained & well-stocked home for our family’s vacation. We visited Zion, Bryce Canyon, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and hiked several trails around Kanab. Great town, excellent food, easy access for many outdoor adventures. The home accommodation exceeded our expectations! Comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen, nice patio & beautiful views! Would highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Kanab!

Great place!

The Blue Tortoise was an amazing experience! Super clean and organized. It had everything we needed and was conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. Kanab also had plenty of adventures nearby if we didn’t feel like driving the hour or so to other trails.

Great Spot!

This house was very clean and well appointed. I was able to reach the owner right away when we had an issue. It has a great layout with 3 beds and 3 baths. We enjoyed the hot tub. Kanab is a nice little town and a great location equal distance from several National Parks.

Well appointed kitchen and bath. Can't forget the great beds and perfect backyard. Grill was clean and ready to go. Located in a great neighborhood. Town has everything you need as a basecamp for all the surrounding areas. To much to list, like new, book it!

This house is super inviting! The backyard was great for the kids and we enjoyed the outside sitting areas! The house is close to the city center and it was very easy to get to all of the hikes around the area! Chanell was a great host and was very prompt to answer any of our questions! We highly recommend this property!

Nice location for trips to multiple National Parks!

Beautiful home in a great central location! We visited Bryce Canyon, Zion, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Page, AZ. The three bedrooms with attached baths were great for our family. We enjoyed the hot tub and play center for the kids. The home was very clean and well organized. Chanell was quick to respond to any inquiries.

We are Steven and Chanell. We grew up in Utah and have always loved camping and spending time in Southern Utah. There are so many things to explore and do. Between the National Parks, State Parks, Boating at Lake Powell and hikes, like the Wave, there are endless things to enjoy. We have 3 children and love taking them with us on our adventures. We hope that you will have adventures with your family and explore the things there are to offer at our home.

This a new property located in a great neighborhood in Kanab. Kanab is a central location to many outdoor adventures. You can make our home your central location to explore tons of new places. We also have the home set up for great indoor/ outdoor living. You can spend the whole day relaxing or relaxing after a fun day being outside..

Not many rentals in Kanab offer the indoor/ outdoor living we offer. It makes it ideal for those that want to feel connected to nature but enjoy the comforts of a home. We have fully equipped our kitchen and family room to make your stay as easy as possible.
