We offer the perfect location to enjoy golf, hiking, fishing, kayaking, wine-tasting, astrophotography, family fun, a romantic escape, well earned relaxation or productive remote work with high speed Wi-Fi and full house privacy in this well appointed, dog friendly, 3 bedroom, 2 bath property.
The Space-
This treasured cabin is our dream come true and is being offered for the first time outside of friends & family. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy an immersive woodland experience without leaving the sofa, or to explore a selection of incredible outdoor adventures nearby.
* Three (3) bedroom cabin with for up to 6 adult guests. Cozy bedding is provided throughout.
- 1st floor bedroom #1: one (1) queen bed
- 2nd floor bedroom #2: one (1) king bed
- 2nd floor bedroom #3: one (1) queen bed, two (2) single kid-only bunk beds
* Two (2) bathrooms with showers, toiletries and linens provided
* Fully appointed kitchen with gas range, microwave, coffee and tea bar, toaster, dishwasher, plates, glassware, pots, pans and utensils.
* Wraparound oversized porch with stunning near and long range views of boulders, wildlife, cloud formations, hills and valleys, Winston Salem, the Blue Ridge Parkway and several mountains including Stone Mountain, Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock. Must see to believe!
* Porch features table seating for for an exceptional dining experience, Adirondack lounge chairs, outdoor fire table and a gas outdoor grill (BBQ is a noun in the south)
* Soaring two-story great room with expansive views from every window, 25' tall stone fireplace, twin deer antler chandeliers, sofa seating, dining seating at the 4' x 8' great room table fashioned for a feast, a selection of board and card games and a 70" widescreen tv.
* A cozy library nook and a separate workstation/desk both with views are located on 2nd floor loft
* Free parking - up to six (6) vehicles on u-shaped single lane driveway
* Washing machine and electric dryer are located in 2nd floor #3 bedroom closet, starter supply of laundry products is provided
* Cable channels, landline telephone service and 100 Mbps high-speed internet provided. Verizon and AT&T cell phone services work well at the house, service is spotty outside the house and in surrounding rural areas. Other carriers have not been tested.
House Rules & Information-
* The cabin is dog friendly - One (1) well behaved dog up to 65lbs is permitted with host approval and an additional, non-refundable $100 pet fee. Cats are not permitted. Professional cleaning is conducted, however guests with severe pet allergies are advised to seek alternative accommodations. Guests are responsible for any damages.
* The cabin is fully available for your use. Please be respectful to the home and property. Live trees and branches, plants and animals may not be harvested from the property. Guests use of all elements and features of the cabin and property, including bunk beds, are at their own risk.
* Water & Septic Restrictions- our mountainside environment requires adherence to the following special considerations:
- Well capacity is 180 gallons. To ensure adequate water supply for a comfortable visit efficiency is recommended including shorter showers (5 min max) and limited washing machine use, particularly for reservations for 5-6 guests.
- Do not flush or discard personal hygiene items, flushable wipes, cleaning wipes, chemicals, paper towels, napkins or trash in any toilet or sink drain. These items may be discarded via the provided wastebaskets.
* No Smoking:
- if smoking occurs inside the house a $500 fee will be charged
* No Parties, Quiet Hours Enforced:
- To respect our neighbors, parties and excessive noise are prohibited. We ask that you minimize outdoor noise beginning at 9pm on weekdays, 10pm on weekends. If you have questions about what constitutes a party just ask. A warning will be provided, afterward violation of this rule will result in immediate termination of the rental.
* Fires and Fireplaces:
- An indoor wood burning fireplace and outdoor propane fueled fire table are provided for your use and enjoyment.
- 2-4 logs per night of stay and up to one (1) tank of propane per week of stay is reasonable and expected. Firewood is provided in the rack alongside the porch.
- Guests will be charged $10/night for additional use of firewood, and may refill the propane tank at their cost if desired. Just ask for refilling locations.
- Burning of any materials on the fire table and starting fires outside of these designated areas, is prohibited.
* Guest Capacity
- up to six (6) overnight guests are permitted. A guest is considered overnight if they remain at the house past 11:59pm
- Two (2) single bunk beds are suitable for children only, 200lb max weight capacity.
* Critters Possible- we do our best to deter and remove critters, insects and pests. Due to the woodland nature of the property, these measures cannot be guaranteed in, nor outside the home. Guests may experience deer, mice, snakes, coyote, bears, bobcats, ticks, mosquitos, spiders, bees, birds of prey, etc.
* Exterior Security Cameras- for safety and peace of mind we have Nest cameras at exterior entrances. There are no indoor cameras.
* Accidents happen- please notify us of anything broken or in need of repair ASAP so we can remedy in time to ensure a quality experience for the next guest.
