Riverview Lodge es una cabaña lodge de troncos personalizada de 4,950 pies cuadrados, con 5 habitaciones y 3 baños, ubicada a orillas del río St. John’s. Pesque desde el muelle, disfrute de los manantiales cercanos y traiga su propio bote o alquile nuestro pontón. Great Stay!

The owner is easy to work with and the house has lots of room for 12 people to enjoy. Our group stays here once a year and everything works out great!

Gorgeous cabin in a great location in Astor with a flawless boat house that has ample space for boat/jet ski docking. Lots of beds and very well stocked. The only downside to the cabin is there is a slight hornet issue we saw 10 dead and alive on the inside and outside of the cabin. Also multiple showers cannot be ran at once as the hot water is prioritized to the down stairs so anyone showering upstairs gets room temp to luke warm water.

Great family vacation!

My family and I had a great time at “The Red Roof Inn”. Easy access to the springs by boat and plenty of room for everyone to relax after a long day on the water.

Great place for large group or multiple families!

Our group has been staying at this house every Jan/Feb for the last few years for our annual St. Johns river fishing trip. There is lots of room for our group of 12 guys and the owner is easy to deal with. We plan to return each year and this is the best house on the river in Astor that our group all agrees on staying. Thank you Mark for letting us enjoy this awesome house on the river!

Amazing

This is an amazing place right on the river with lots of room. Very clean and the owner is great to deal with. Nice dock right on the water with a public boat ramp close. Our group has stayed here twice and we hope to continue our annual tradition. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Family memories full of fishing

We had a great time spending time with family. The fishing was pretty good and we caught enough for a fish fry dinner. Plenty of beds for our whole family including all ages. Very spacious and relaxing getaway. Not too far from beaches and Daytona.

Great relaxing vacation

Stayed here with husband and kids. We had a great time at this very unique and beautiful property. We had the pleasure of renting the pontoon boat and exploring the St Johns River (the owner Mark made it a smooth process). Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. We brought food and tried a couple of local restaurants as well (definitely worth bringing some food). We will definitely come back!

Gorgeous home

This home is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of room and very clean! We have stayed on St Johns River for the last 15 years for our summer vacation and we finally found a home to stay that accommodated our large family. This was the best vacation to Astor Florida, thanks to this home and hosts. Plenty of room and everyone which was comfortable for our large family. The home is a beautiful lodge makes you feel like you are in the mountains of Montana. Mark and his assistant were such a pleasure to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. Thank you for opening your beautiful home up for families like us. We are already planning our next trip to Astor!

Location is truly stunning, the views are what make this home special. However, the house itself fell short of our expectations, especially for the premium price. The twin bedroom on the first floor is actually a converted office, and unfortunately, it was very uncomfortable for sleeping, there is no window covers and the lights will not allow you to sleep, this room is right in front of the stairs so everyone going up & down will see you. The refrigerator leakes, which meant we had to constantly clean up after it. One closet had an old appliance stored inside, which left the space with an unpleasant smell and look.Several outdoor amenities also need attention. The fire pit area was surrounded by dried bougainvillea branches with thorns, which made it hard to use safely. The spa jets only worked in one corner, and the BBQ grill only functioned partially, which was difficult for a larger group. The umbrella outside was unstable and unfortunately broke during our stay. Inside, the lights above the TV don’t turn off, and since there are no curtains on the first floor, the room stayed bright all night. We also noticed spider webs in several ceiling fixtures, particularly in the kitchen. The grill on the stove is filty, the property has incredible potential because of its setting, the home itself is not being maintained to the same “pristine” standard. With proper upkeep and repairs, it could be an amazing rental, but as it is now, it left us a bit disappointed.

5 star property with excellent riverside location

This property is amazing. The reason to only rate it by 4 stars were some shortcomings inside the property. We had issues with hot water, the barbecue and some very soft beds. The property itself is truly amazing and the pictures cannot give you the real understanding of the wow factor. Communication was easy with Mark and he recommended a boat rental nearby - highly recommended. The property has 4 real bedrooms. All other beds are placed in different settings - but not actual bedrooms. I’m sure they will fix the problems and I will highly recommend you to book this magnificent place and enjoy the Ocala area.

Great location and home but property needs cleaning/updating

The location of the home and size is wonderful. However, the cleanliness and organization needs some attention. The kitchen was very unorganized and untidy. There were no bath towels throughout the home, only beach towels. We were only given one trash bag for a 4 night stay and no sponge for dishes and no cleaner to wipe the counters etc. The home is is in desperate need of a deep-clean. TVs in bedrooms did not work, plug could not even reach designated receptacle. The Wifi strength was so poor we could not even check emails. We rented the on site pontoon boat but the boat seemed like it had never been cleaned. Carpet on board was filthy, seats and counters were not clean and it just felt very old worn. Overall, we had a great stay and would be okay if it wasn't at such a high price point. For the price per night and size/status of the home we expected more.

Disappointing

EMAIL SENT TO PROP. MANAGER FIRST NIGHT:::: The early check in was cleared and we arrived at 2pm sharp. Maintenance team was here replacing the failed drywall ceiling that fell in 1st floor master. Drywall dust everywhere, garage, front porch, and driveway included. They cleaned and mopped, but still residue throughout 1st floor Being a General Contractor, the last thing I wanted to see upon arrival, and entering the home is construction and debris. Secondly, as were unloading, one of the women working here made a judgmental comment of, “think y’all brought enough stuff”. Lastly, the master suite bathroom clogged frequently of which I plunged, but honestly, I shouldn’t be dealing with any of this. But wait, there’s more: - There’s an entire oven in the 1st floor guest closet, pic attached. - Master suite Owners closet is open with key in deadbolt and light left on, as well as attic ladder pulled down allowing attic heat to dump into the home - Workers left behind tools, materials, and drinks on master fireplace hearth. I just happened to catch them as they were leaving and handed it to them. - Update on owners closet key, maint came back in to stash key in lockbox after I brought the tools left behind, however, proceeds to vocalize where the hiding spot is while I’m standing in the room. -MB tub is dirty, and appears someone “spit” in it - see pic

Awesome Time

The house and property is large and beautiful. A perfect location to enjoy the river, Lake George, springs, and restaurants on the water. I only want to vent about a few things because if no one tells the owner or property manager, well I guess they will never get fixed. The refrigerator had some sort of leak. Every time you open and close the door it makes a huge U shape puddle on the floor, causing us to slip before we realized what was happening. We ended up moving a large carpet that was in front of the stove to soak up the mess every time we opened the door. In the master bathroom toilet room, there was not a holder for the toilet paper. There were a lot of spider webs inside and especially outside the home and around the boat docks. Spiders ended up getting inside all our boats, we brought 3. I walked right into a LARGE one when I first stepped outside the back door by the jacuzzi. There needs to be more than 1 king size bed. We came with 3 adult couples and all of us brought our kids. There were many beds for them, but the adults having to choose which one of us got the king size bed made it awkward. The upstairs bathroom stopped up anytime any of us had to take a number 2 and had to be plunged each time :-0. The garbage disposal in the kitchen does not work and that side of the sink would back up with dirty water each time you washed the dishes. We called the property manager several times, with no call back. Overall though, we had an awesome stay.

R & R on the St. John’s River

What an incredible property to hold a summertime family reunion! Mark and his team are thoughtful hosts and the kitchen would satisfy any gourmet cook’s needs😁. We can’t express how fortunate we feel to have made new memories in this beautiful home and thoroughly enjoyed the pontoon. Already daydreaming about a holiday gathering😍.

Amazing!

Thank you Mark for renting us your beautiful log home. Pictures do not do it justice. The house is breathtaking, and comfortable. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the back deck watching the river and wildlife and having a cocktail at night in the hot tub. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen would please even a gourmet chef. Again thank you for accommodating us when the previous Realty group canceled us last minute. You saved our vacation!!!!!

Beautiful Home with a View

Mark was very accommodating with our last minute reservation. The home looks like it came right out of a magazine. My favorite part was sitting out by the dock and enjoying the view of the water. Perfect place for fishing and hanging out with friends and family. Will definitely be coming again!

Home away from home

This cabin is the prescription we all need. The best to unwind and relax. Quick access to local eats, right on the river with a beautiful view and a fisherman’s paradise on the St Johns! This home is quiet and cozy. My family loves Astor and will definitely be returning to stay again. My only problem now is I don’t want to leave!
