Entertain the whole family at this peaceful place to stay on top of Eagle Mountain. Secluded cabin where you can unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature. Enjoy the two oversized large porches with seasonal mountain and river views. Loft space has a game room set up for all family to enjoy. Fooseball, dart board, and 2 arcade games. Plenty of board games to play as well. Step out into the private back yard to soak in the hot tub or create memories by the fire pit. You will see a lot of deer. The cabin is very close to several wineries including Engleheim, Grapes and Ladders, and a little further drive to Ott and Buckley. A short drive to shopping, antiques and restaurants. Many hiking trails and waterfalls close by. Amicolola Falls and The Appalachian Trail a short drive away. Carters Lake as well as Lake Blue Ridge close by. Horseback riding and zip lining tours near by also. The cabin is located in the Coosawatee River Resort which has numerous amenities such as pools, fitness center, carpet golf, arcade, basketball and tennis courts for an additional fee of $25. Please inquire when booking. You can also float down the Coosawatee River with a specific spot for put in and take out with your own rafts. Also lots of fishing in the area but Georgia fishing permit required for adults. Endless possibilities a lifetime of memories at Bear Haven.

We had a wonderful time! The house is cozy with a great set up inside and out for 4 adults and two children. The local rec center is a bonus with an indoor pool for the kids, and while part of a gated community, the house itself sits atop a small hill and is surrounded by pine trees so is nice and secluded.

Check-in was very easy. Kitchen was adequately stocked. There was plenty of space for our family. We enjoyed lots of sightseeing, feeding the deer, and boating at Lake Carter. The highlight for my husband was the Big Foot Museum.The road to the cabin was tricky, but we did get use to it.This cabin was a fantastic vacation !

Best stay I’ve had. Tracy thought of everything. Lots of very thoughtful “touches” to the property. Hot tub worked perfectly and the deer were an added bonus. Excellent communication with owners Great TV and WiFi service. Beds were super comfortable. Lots of games and activities inside the cabin. Fire pit supplies were added bonus also. Thank you for the hospitality!

Cousin’s Retreat

Beautiful setting in the mountains. So relaxing. Deer and squirrels were present everyday. Beds were very comfortable. Would love to go again.

Absolutely beautiful!

This home and property are gorgeous! Everything we needed was provided by the owner. The communication with the owners was wonderful. The deer almost come right up to you and there were many! The personal touches were so nice.

Long weekend

We spent a long weekend with our son and his wife and everything was just as the listing said. We all said that the pictures do not do it justice and we also love the area the hiking the vineyards and of course the women liked the shopping in the little stores, I do recommend this place and the host was very helpful with directions and everything was as it said thank you

Home away from home

The pictures do not do this property justice. Bear haven is beautiful. I didn't feel like I was staying in someone else's home, it was so cozy it truly felt like ours. This cabin was SPOTLESS. Even the outside areas are immaculate. We spent a ton of time outside with our deer friends. The host really went above and beyond to make this place extra special. If you are between choices, chose this cabin. We can't wait to come back!

I wish I could give Bear Haven 10 stars!

We had an amazing time at Bear Haven! From the initial reservation through the last day, our hosts were a dream to work with! The home was sparkling clean, absolutely beautiful, and was incredibly well stocked! They’ve thought of everything, and it’s clear they want guests to feel at home. The view was beautiful, the deer plentiful and, if staying in the cabin mostly, there are games galore! The smallest details were thought of! The entrance gate was easy to enter, with such friendly attendants, and the hosts had a notebook filled with need-to-know info, as well as get away suggestions. We only used the main level, and the king bed was very comfortable. Loved the quickness and ease of the gas log fireplace! We would absolutely stay in this beautiful home again!

Adorable and perfect!

I rented this cabin for my daughter’s birthday weekend with her friends (teenagers) and it was absolutely perfect for us! The cabin was clean and orderly, and the owner is super sweet and responded to any questions very quickly. The kids really enjoyed the games (foosball, mini arcade games, dartboard, uno, and more). They especially loved the hot tub, which was plenty big enough for 4 teenagers. The fire pit in the back was awesome for them to make s’mores and plenty of firewood was supplied. We set up our projector outside also and watched a movie by the fire pit! The cabin was perfect for us to not be on top of each other but still cute and cozy with the fireplace on during breakfast at the table! We brought our pup and he was in heaven laying by the fireplace. The neighborhood is just adorable and pretty cool to drive through. It felt relaxing and in the woods but still not too far from a store for a grocery run. And the best part…all the deer we got to see!!! There was a bucket of corn on the deck to feed the deer and it worked!! They were constantly in the yard around the cabin and even walked right up while we were outside at the fire pit!! Definitely recommend this place!!

We are a family of 8. We live in Florida. We love vacationing in the Blue Ridge/Ellijay area and bought a cabin in 2021. We are very excited to go to our cabin as much as possible and also share it with our guest

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This cabin is amazing. It is on Eagle Mountain in the Coosawattee River resort. The drive to the cabin is beautiful. We love the two large porches with seasonal mountain views as well as seasonal river views but year-round river noise. The property is private. The hot tub is amazing as well as the fire pit area and it’s just perfect for a family to enjoy.

Coosawatee River resort is a gated community. There are lots of amenities such as workout facility, indoor and outdoor pools, game room, tennis courts. All of these amenities are at an additional fee. Ellijay is a beautiful town with lots to do such as hiking, waterfalls and fishing. Downtown Ellijay has a cute town square with shops and restaurants. Blue Ridge is just a short drive away where are you can enjoy the train, shopping and hiking to waterfalls.
