Boogie on down to Geno's Groovy Getaway! Situated minutes from Monarch Mountain in the funky little town of Garfield this home is the perfect base camp for your Rocky Mountain Adventures! Built by a legendary ski instructor, who has a ski run named after him...see if you can find it while shredding the slopes- this home boast plenty of space for all you hip people to hang out!

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee filters and laundry soap.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. 24 to 48 hours before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $3000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund. 14 to 29 days prior to arrival 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions, spotty internet service or interruption of service.

Great location and plenty of room. But what impressed me the most was the integrity of the team overseeing this property. I inadvertently left my wedding bands behind (they had gotten pushed out of sight) and I didn’t realize it until we were some hours away. I panicked but each person I spoke to was so reassuring. And sure enough the cleaning team found my jewelry and later I received instructions for how to handle the return delivery. I am so grateful!

Quirky 70's style ski cabin.

Great for guys trip. Limited bathrooms, and not a ton of privacy, so maybe not great for multiple families. The place is full of character and very reasonably priced.

Bathroom situation off - We made it work

the listing does not show the second bathroom on the 2nd floor which is actually ONLY a sink and toilet, no shower. There are 4 bed area's on the 2nd floor, but in order to use the extra shower, it is located down stairs just outside the laundry room and the entrance to the Sauna. thankfully, we had 5 males and 1 female with her husband who stayed in the bedroom downstairs with a full bathroom outside their doorway. We made it work, but if you plan on taking a shower while in a bathroom, there is only 1 option for that. Other than that, it was 7 minutes from Monarch Mountain where we went skiing, kitchen was functional, but could use some updating along with pots and pans. Living area was fine and dining table area as well. We enjoyed the sauna every evening. Wood was provided for fire in or out, but it was a little warm during our visit so no indoor fire was needed.

This place was definitely groovy! We liked to see they tried to keep the old spirit alive. Perfect location for going between Tomichi and Salida.

Great Cabin

Overall, very happy, two issues, need to clean under the furniture and the furniture needs to be better quality. Chairs, benches, and church pew were not able to be used.

Great little place with lots of charm

Older details in the cabin but nice place. Lots of places to sleep and good location. Could update the furniture but it's all good at the cabin!

Geno's Groovy Getaway is Great

We loved our stay at Geno's. The proximate location to Monarch Mountain is super convenient. The house itself was very charming and ideal for a group of our size (4 adults and 4 kids). The house's vibe matched perfectly for a skiing getaway. The only feedback we could think of was that it would be nice if there were some more chairs for the dining table. We assume there are fewer by design to avoid cramping the space, but having even some folding chairs tucked away would help when a larger group wants to gather around the table for a meal. Other than that, the place was fantastic. Thank you so much for helping to make our ski getaway a memorable one.

Awesome base camp for Monarch ski vacation

You can tell this cabin was built with skiing in mind. Can’t get closer to Monarch! The property is very quirky for sure but in a good way! Would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity comes up.

Good house but misleading on bedrooms and bathrooms

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this house. My only complaint is that it was advertised as a 4 bedroom and 2 bath house. One of the "bedrooms" was an open area upstairs, which clearly would not quality as a bedroom. For another bedroom, you had to walk though a separate bedroom to get to. Lastly, there was only one full bathroom. There was a half bathroom upstairs (without a shower) and a separate, stand- alone shower downstairs by the ski equipment area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
