Kahana Reef 315! The views are never-ending here! Highly desirable third-floor view condo on the Kahana Coast of beautiful west Maui. Appreciate beautiful, unobstructed, panoramic ocean views from your spacious and private lanai. The tropical islands of Molokai and Lanai serve as a backdrop while enjoying meals al fresco, taking in a breathtaking sunset while sipping cocktails with friends and family, and watching whales, turtles, monk seals, and spinner dolphins swimming playfully in the beautiful, blue Pacific Ocean from your private lanai.

The bright and open living area offers a large wall-mounted TV with cable, a sleeper sofa, along with a king bed in the bedroom to accommodate up to 4 guests in total. There's a dining table inside for 4, perfect for game nights. The long breakfast bar is wonderful for a brunch buffet. The kitchen is fully updated with stainless appliances, stone countertops, and all the cooking and serving utensils you will need to whip up a meal.

Kahana Reef is a quaint oceanfront property centrally located in Kahana. This property is a guest favorite year after year. On-property amenities include an OCEANFRONT pool, gas BBQ's, lounge chairs, and of course, breathtaking views! Restaurants, markets, shopping, and golfing are all within minutes!

Wonderful stay in West Maui

The best rental through VRBO we have ever had. Extremely clean with a well appointed kitchen. Great pool and lawn area for our 1 year old. Could not be happier.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been to Maui a number of times and have always had good experiences with rentals. This time we made somewhat of a last minute decision and could not get into the other rentals so took Kahana Reef 315 because the picture and description looked pretty good. It turned out to be a very dissatisfying experience. The lanai table was filthy. The lanai itself was not clean. The TV did not work most of the week. Someone from Colwell Banker came to get it back on and as soon as we turned it off and tried to turn it back on, it did not work. The overall appearance of the condo is that it is just not clean. The waste can in the kitchen where you put the bag in is dirty. There are postings along the way telling you don't do this and don't that. The bathroom is very small. The shower kind of reminded me of a locker room shower. The shower curtain appeared to be half of another one cut in two. The bedroom faces the parking lot and street so you get all the noise. Just not a good experience for us. We love Maui and was just disappointed in the condo because all our past experiences have been very positive.

Enjoyed our 3-night stay. Cached a beautiful sunset the first day. The property was clean and provides all amenities that ones would need. The gifts from Coldwell Banker Island Vacations were a nice surprise. Location was excellent with beautiful view, reasonable close to Safeway, restaurants and shopping. We’ll come back! Thanks!

Beautiful setting

Great location and comfortable unit. Kitchen was well equipped and functional. A quiet and scenic setting. . Our only concern is the ever-increasing fees and taxes that make VRBO less desirable than in past years.

Amazing

We loved this property. Fantastic location with a short drive to Lahaina and Kaanapali. Walking distance to Maui Brewing, Hawaiian Village Coffee and McDonalds. Amazing views from the lanai - we enjoyed as much time out there as possible. We even saw whales most mornings!! The sunsets were stunning from the property. Directly next door, the beach was great for swimming and sunsets. Appreciated the basket with some local goodies! Such a comfortable place with fully stocked kitchen, plenty of linens and fans. It did get warm but leaning the front door open with the screen door helped. Good communication from the property manager and a nice phone call on our first full day to make sure all was ok! This was a perfect location for doing the west Maui drive as well!

Comfort and Views

A clean comfortable condo with oceanfront views of Lanai and Molokai. Quiet area. Nice pool, and small uncrowned beach next door. Condo has everything needed for a great time in the sun and surf!

Great as always

This is the third time we have stayed in this building but the first in this unit. Everything about it is wonderful. Whales from the balcony, comfy bed, and great location. Only request, get a high top table and chairs on the balcony so we have a clear view Thanks for sharing the unit with us

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Kahana Reef. The balcony over looks the ocean and its walking distance some restaurants which was convenient. The only thing is, for the amount we paid the unit was outdated and not the cleanest. The shower curtain is a thin strip of plastic that covered half the door and it was black and moldy at the bottom. The bedroom needs new carpet and the sliding glass door handle was falling off(literally). Wasn’t expecting the Four Seasons but for what we paid then on top of all the cleaning fees I expected a little nicer unit :( The location is 5 stars but the unit I’d give 3 because the balcony was my favorite spot to sit and watch the ocean.

Don't Stay Here Until Construction is Over

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Yes the views are amazing, but you won't be able to enjoy them during most daylight hours until the "spalling project" is completed. The noise was so loud and pervasive, we literally could not be there all day. The unit itself is alright, a bit more worn than we expected but well appointed and reasonably clean. The table on the balcony was dirty, we had to scrub it down our first morning. The lock wasn't working but someone came by to fix it. The carpet in the bedroom is stained and dingy. I wish you a better time in Maui than we had.

Beautiful view

We loved our stay right on the ocean front. Gorgeous sunrise colors and great view of the sunset. Most of our time was spent away from our condo, but we were comfortable every time we came home.

Lot of construction in the area

Condo is nice. Great view. Everything you need for 2. Walking distance to morning coffee or groceries. Decent Chinese takeout across the street. Big drawback is construction. Noisy refurbishing on decking outside of condo. Road in front of condo that goes up to Napili and Kapalua is totally blocked and will likely be that way for a few months. Main road going down to Kaanapali is bottle necked due to construction - a real choke point during commute and therefore travelers. First half of our week was down in Kihei and much more preferable due to easy beach access. Great location for golfers in Kahana. Perhaps our concerns will be gone after Jan 1.

Everything you need in a great location!

This was our first time to Hawaii and we loved kahana Reef! Everything you needed was in the condo and the views each morning and evening were amazing. The location in north of Lahaina, near Kapalua, so it’s an hour from the airport and the start of the road to Hana, but only 5 minutes from Kapalua golf course and the spa at Montage Bay! Our only critique of the place is both locks need repaired to make them easier to lock and unlock. Understandably the salt air wears on these, but it’s time for a replacement. There is also no clear direction on what to do with the bedding or towels. We appreciated the stay and if we are ever back will definitely consider this location again!

Maui trip

Great location. Quiet and amazing views right on the ocean. Great place to watch the sunset. Away from the hustle and bustle but still very close to beaches and restaurants. No AC meant the unit was pretty warm at night even with multiple fans running in the unit. Having beach supplies was really helpful. Kitchen was clean and well stocked. The wifi was pretty terrible especially in the bedroom. Mattress has egg crate foam on top which wasn’t very comfortable. I wish the bedroom shades were darker. Pretty clean which is difficult with all the sand.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was all of it. Mesmerizing saw turtles from the balcony in the water popping out their head.Apartment is old. Furniture seems old. Bathroom is small and old. They gave soap container which barely pumps out the soap. There is no air conditioner. It did get pretty hot even with breeze coming in. Kitchen- all well equipped good appliances and pots/pans. There is only salt and pepper provided. Be sure to take oil. Beach- there are 2 beach chairs provided. No umbrellas. They do have a cooler but the handle did not work well.Pool is very small. More to relax not really kind you would swim.Overall we enjoyed the stay. I wish it was a little upgraded as the bedsheets and blankets all seemed over used and old. The sofa sleeper was very comfortable.Garbage - stunk even before we put anything in the trash just from opening it.

The condo was beautifully decorated and up to dated however, meals were spent on the lanai with the breathtaking view of oceanfront view with Molokai & Lanai as the backdrop. It appeared you can throw a rock onto Molokai! Absolutely stunning view! Kitchen was fully equipped, beach chairs, mats and cooler provided by the host. Private location and close enough to Lahaina if you choose to shop or eat in town. Can’t wait to come back and stay here again. Mahalo for da hospitality!
