Cozy Vacation Home

Our well appointed home offers your family the perfect get away spot! Home is spacious yet cozy . Set back from road on 2 wooded acres plenty of room inside and out for families!
Home has 4 levels, can sleep up to 10 (plus a full size crib ) with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and half bath. Walk out first level features tv room with 2 futons which can sleep 2. Main level is living room dining area and well equipped kitchen with cappuccino maker , and kitchen aid mixer , coffee maker and all amenities needed . There is a large 3 season room through the French doors in the dining room - a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Next level features large master with king bed en suite with French door to private deck. Master bath with double pedestal sinks , shower. Second bedroom with queen bed and 2nd full bath with jacuzzi tub and shower. The 4th floor ( this is not an attic room) is a large bedroom with king bed (which can be converted to 2 twin beds if requested) also bunk beds and full size crib. This room has toys and books and tv.
Home will sleep 10 comfortably with all new mattresses . Dining room seats 6/8 with 2 at counter and table for 4 or more on 3 season porch.
Outside is a fire pit area with Adirondack chairs and picnic table. Gas grill is close to dining outside or in. Very private back yard for dining, playing or just relaxing . Observing the night sky from here with our telescope gives some of the best views of planets and the milky way !

Home is just minutes from the beach and beautiful Port Clyde and Marshall Point Lighthouse , made famous from the movie Forest Gump ! 15 minutes to shopping movie theatre and all that Rockland has to offer .
We invite you to stay and explore this coast of Vacationland!! Wonderful restaurants, beautiful hiking paths, gorgeous beach , and very close to Monhegan Island! This location is quintessential MidCoast Maine at its best!! Lobsters, lighthouses, spectacular sunsets and some of the best star gazing on the continent!
Our home offers an opportunity to experience all of the above!

Beautifully renovated farm house.

The owners did a wonderful job of renovating and decorating this house. It is attractive, clean and well equipped. Our hosts were very gracious and responsive to our questions. The neighborhood is very rural and quiet. We strongly recommend this property.

Awesome trip to Maine

My family had a great time at Kathy and Bob's place! The house is beautiful and the location is great, close to swimming, kayaking, and great seafood! The house is also one of the best vacation homes we've stayed at - the hosts provide all you need for a great time (firepit, yard games, YETI cooler, beach towels) and really thoughtful convenience items you don't normally find at a rental home like laundry detergent and bug spray. They were also super communicative and helpful with any questions. Thanks so much to them for hosting!

Lobster Festival getaway

The home was just like the pictures online. We had all the comforts of home. The rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. The outside fire pit and sitting area was just beautiful. So quiet! Many windows kept the house cool and comfortable no a/c needed.

St. George, ME

My friends and I chose this house because it was a 20 minutes drive to the Lobster Festival. Beautiful, clean and a welcoming ambience. Instructions were very detailed and well organized. AC units in the rooms will be a much needed addition though. Also step stool for the high bed in the master bedroom. Overall stay was excellent. Highly recommended.

Not ever going back

The refrigerator did not work properly it would not keep things cold and made no ice in the ice maker. The water pressure was very low. There was one air conditioner in the attic room and nowhere else, so the heat was unbearable at times.The kitchen sink leaked, crappy utensils. The owners complained about dirty house after we stayed there a week with six kids even though we cleaned. We did not wash the floors though. There was a 400 dollar cleaning fee so we thought sweeping and basic clean up was enough.

Perfection!

This spot was more than we could have hoped for. The first thing that caught our eye was the privacy! Its down a long driveway and completely surrounded by woods. Yes there are neighbors to the side, but you dont see them and rarely hear them. When we travel, privacy is a huge factor for us. The photos on this site dont do the home justice. What a gem! Its beautiful on the inside and outside! The front deck is wonderful for coffee or catching a breeze. (Such great breezes there at times!) The kitchen had everything we could have needed to cook and prepare meals. There is a great sun room, my kids started calling “the white room” lol. Very bright, and white! A perfect spot for them to play in. The hosts even have a cupboard with markers, crayons paper etc for the kids. As for space, for our family of 5 there was plenty. The upstairs room was perfect for the kids! You could easily sleep three kiddos on the huge bed, along with two more on the bunk. Theres also a crib if you need! There are toys, books, balls etc. A large amount of space for playing! My husband and I really enjoyed the little deck off the master bedroom. So nice to sit out with a coffee while the kiddos slept. There is also a room downstairs in the basement fully finished with tv and futons for more sleeping space if needed. Otherwise its just another great spot to hang. My kids loved that area at night before bed. The backyard to the home is just lovely. We brought some yard games and had fun many times just relaxing at the house, having a fire, playing games and listening to music. We spent a lot of time out on the ocean on our boat, or visiting Port Clyde and other towns we love…but we also spent time just hanging at the house. We would 100% recommend this spot and we also plan to return next Summer! Kathy and Bob were amazing hosts and Kathy was available to communicate if we needed to. Most communication was just to say how awesome the house was lol. We have zero complaints. We felt like they thought of everything. We brought a lot from home but if you need laundry or bath items…they are supplied also. Overall, we had an amazing trip. We were up for 11 days and it was not nearly enough. We come up to the area a couple times a year as my mother in law lives in Rockland, but this was the first Summer we have been here in probably 5 years. Thank you so much Kathy and Bob!! We hope return next Summer!
