Private home on a 1.75 acre lot with lots of privacy. Gorgeous views of Lake James and mountains in the distance from just about every vantage point. Lake front property with double level dock located in a small cove. Beautiful views of the night sky on the upper level of the dock. Fire pit facing the lake. Game room for entertainment on rainy days. Two master suites and a bunk room, perfect for families vacationing together. Close to Lake James State Park and public access boat ramps.

Great lake getaway

Two families stayed here comfortably for the 4th of July and had a wonderful stay. They had plenty of bath towels and dishes and they had all the amenities soap, paper towels. laundry detergent. I would bring beach towels, as we did, because there weren't too many. They had plenty of activities both inside and out and the place was spotless. The host Susan was easy to communicate with but we had no issues the entire time there so much of our communication was on the front end. Susan let us know you could see the local fireworks from the house and we were thrilled to watch them from the upper tier of the dock. The water is super clean to swim off of the dock. My only advice would be if you had adults, 60 year plus or anyone not sure footed, it was a bit of a hike down to the dock on uneven terrain. The path down there wasn't well marked or lit either. There were some solar lights but it never got enough sun to power them so coming back from the fireworks we had to use cell phone flashlights. I definitely recommend closed toe shoes or sturdy shoes as flip flops were not well suited for the hike especially with wet feet. All and all, we would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it as long as you are sure footed.

Amazing House

My best friend and I get our families together every summer and this is the 3rd year in a row we stay at Susan’s house. It never disappoints! The house is beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location. The communication with Susan could not be better and the check in and check out process super easy. We are already planning for next year!

Best house on Lake James

This home is great for 2 families. The bunk room is the biggest hit for the kids. Very clean and has all the amenities to make our stay comfortable and fun. Owners are wonderful and quick and easy to communicate with. Can't wait until next year!

Lovely Lake Getaway

Great place to unwind and reconnect! We spent a week with another family, 2 couples and 5 kids all under the age of 13 enjoying time together. Highlights were the 2 story dock, kayaks, game room downstairs, and bunk room on the top floor. The kids also loved making s’mores at night under the moon! And although we spent almost all day everyday at the dock, on the lake, the house is super well equipped and well-stocked for entertaining! Plenty of towels, and cooking items, 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers-we ate in all meals but 1! Thanks for helping us make some wonderful memories with some old friends! Even some local family stopped by to say ‘hello’! Truly a special place! We will be back!

Wonderful Lake House!

This is a beautiful spot and we had the best time with our teenagers on the lake. Dock is great. The swim mat was a big hit. The bunk room is wonderful as is the game room downstairs for kids. Very comfortable bedding, everything very new and very well stocked. Great location on the lake! Thanks for a great week!

Amazing!

We spent a weekend at this lovely home on Lake James. It is not only beautiful but pristine, as welll! My boys enjoyed fishing on the dock and playing ping pong in the recreation room. Highly recommend!

Family summer vacation

We had an amazing time at lake James. This property is insanely nice. Clean, organized, well maintained, stocked with everything you need. The owner provided all pertinent information ahead of time and was very pleasant. The only negative is that we didn’t stay longer!

We LOVE Lake James!!!

We have vacationed on Lake James many times and each time have had such memorable experience. We loved this house… it had a very comfortable open floor plan, the beds were extremely comfortable and the bunk room was awesome for the kids. We had 2 families with kids ranging 9-2 plus an infant. The game room in the walk out basement kept the kids entertained when we weren’t playing on the water. We loved the lily pad, kayaks, floats and chairs on the dock… the kids had a blast playing in the water and on the beach in the quiet cove. Susan was very easy to communicate with and helpful! We will definitely be back!

EXCELLENT!

We had a great stay at this home. It was clean, spacious...just wonderful. The lake is gorgeous and an amazing place for kayaking. Sunrise on the back porch rocking chairs was perfect for morning coffee. Game room for evening entertainment was a hit for the younger adults bringing out their inner kid side. Susan is a super friendly hostess and we had a great time and hope to visit again soon! Thank you for having us!

Beautiful home

This home is stunning. Everything is brand new and well thought out. Two families of four stayed for a long weekend and had plenty of room to spread out. The bunk room was a hit for the kids and the king suites were great for the adults! The dock was packed with life jackets, noodles, a swim mat, kayaks and shade! Lots to do or do nothing and enjoy the view from a rocking chair. We will definitely book again!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Our family always enjoyed time at the lake and decided to find a place of our own. We wanted a mountain lake and we found the perfect spot at Lake James. Our lot feels relatively private in our own small cove and the water is so clear that I can see my kids swimming underwater from the dock. We also have a nice little lake beach area that is perfect for our toddler size friends and family to splash around. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind and we love it!
