Welcome to Anchors Away

This nicely renovated home is located a short walk from the public beach, Kids corner family park, and all that downtown South Haven has to offer. There's enough room ten guests. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom, a beautifully redone kitchen and dining area. In the lower level there are 4 single beds as well as a couple of couches, a ping pong table, 2 televisions and a half bath.  We also have kayaks, paddle boards and bikes!

Great stay

Place was clean and had everything we needed and bikes too! If you have little littles, bring a baby gate for the downstairs entrance that does not have a door. Outdoor shower was very convenient. Also if you have lots of stuff to take to the beach I highly recommend renting a gulf cart nearby! It was lots of fun for kids and adults alike! Over all, great stay!

This was the perfect house for our big family vacation. We had 4 adults and 9 kids stay over night plus 4 extra people during the day. There was plenty of room for us all! The pingping table was a huge hit for the kids! This house was a 1 mile walk to South Beach and about a 1/2 mile to a closer entrance. We all walked it very easily.The house was super clean. We all said the beds were the most comfortable beds we had ever stayed in. We would stay again!

Great location

The location and cleanliness of this home were impeccable. The listing is not accurate because it states a fire pit is available but we learned the day we checked in that there was NOT a fire pit. Also, the back umbrella for the large table was broken and we could not use it. Bikes are in bad shape, many of them were not safe due to flat tires and loose seats and handle bars. The house is beautiful and decorated gorgeous with an excellent floor plan.

Great trip but had some issues.

The details on check in for opening the door were extremely frustrating. After driving all day and anxious to get settledwe could not open door with number given. Cody answered after a few calls and advised us to put our finger over the small word Schlage at the top of the key pad. That "woke up" the numbers to accept the code when we type it in. Very important detail in the link provided to us. Once we got in and unpacked the car we tried the WiFi password also provided in the link. It did not work. We once again called Cody and he tried to help. No luck. Cody tried to contact home owners. By 10 that evening Cody had not heard back from owners and would try on Sat.morning. We called Cody at 9:30 Sat. morning. He gave us a completely different password that was all numbers and not even close to the initial password on the link. We were grateful for Cody's help. The pictures shown advertise Sleeps ten and two bathrooms. It did not disclose there was only one shower. Ten people and one shower!! Unacceptable. The outdoor shower was not exactly private and it's OUTDOORS!! a few hooks and a rusty container to hold shampoo and soap was very inconvenient. The basement had a half bath with an open drain hidden under a table with a cloth over it. We doubt if that is up to code. The basement smelled very musty and had a wet dog odor. We killed spiders, crickets and roaches in the basement. The worse part was creaking wooden floors. Everyone lost sleep at night if someone had to use the bathroom. If you slept in the basement you could hear every step taken from above. Area rugs did not help and could be slippery. We only had six adults but the noise at night was ridiculous. We did appreciate the beautiful kitchen and appliances. The bikes and beach toys were fantastic. Loved the decor and colors. The convenience to the beach was good. We love South Haven and will return.

Family Frendly

Loved all the beach toys, umbrella and plenty of towels. My family used the bikes to ride to town. We had a great time!
