Horse Friendly Barn Apartment with central location to hiking biking brewery’s

Bring your horses, bikes or hiking shoes to our 10 acre farm in Horse Shoe! Centrally located between Hendersonville, Brevard and Mills River. DuPont and Pisgah Forest are within 20 minutes. Ecusta Trail less then 2 miles. Breweries, Waterfalls, Hiking galore! Fishing and Fly Fishing plentiful in our area. Blue Ridge Parkway within 10 miles. Our apartment is above our barn, with lots of space to relax at the end of your day. Clean and cozy, you can watch the horses frollick in the pastures on your covered porch, while the sun is setting. Watch our boarders work their horses in one of the two large arena's. Hose to wash bikes and place to lock bikes. Grab dinner at one of the many awesome restaurants within 10 miles. Cook in with our new Jensen Air Stove/Oven combo or outdoor grill. Play board games or catch a movie on our smart TV. Wonderful area to explore! We live on property so can answer any of your questions!

Fantastic accommodations and hospitality was provided by hosts Bambi and Rex and the resident doggies and beautiful horses added some of our entertainment! The apartment was perfect for our family gathering to celebrate Thanksgiving and everyone mentioned how comfortable the beds were and how relaxing and fun their visit was. Nearby shopping, hiking and coffee shops provided something for everyone! Thanks for all the goodies; the grands enjoyed them a lot!! If we plan another get together, we will definitely book with you again.

Great pre-stay communication with owners and self check-in was a breeze. Great facility and convenient to Brevard, Hendersonville, DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. The rental is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay (whether you eat in or go to one of the many nearby excellent restaurants) and everyone, including the horses, was very friendly. Could not have had a more relaxing week.

Stay at the horse ranch

Great hosts, location, and property. HostsBambi and Pete could not have been nicer or more accommodating . Beautiful unique setting where horses were boarded and trained. Our 2 golden retrievers enjoyed playing with the resident boarder collie, Finnegan. Our grand daughter was able to pet and brush one of the horses of one of the boarders. Convenient location to hiking, rodeos,waterfalls, parks, Breweries and restaurants . Would like to visit again sometime.

Just beautiful

This was a wonderful place to stay. So close to Pisgah and DuPont. You will not be disappointed! The owners are the most caring, lovely people too. Our favorite part was the dog and horses. My kiddo looked forward to seeing them every night when we returned. Thank you!

One of A Kind

We really enjoyed staying here. We had plenty of room and a private entrance. Loved being around the horses. The owners were very nice and provided lots of snacks. We had everything we needed. Will visit again.

Better than expected!

This was our first time visiting North Carolina and we couldn't have been happier with the property. The place is better than the pictures portray and was very cozy. Kitchen had all we needed plus some. They even provided a few extras such as snacks, sugar, half n half and some condiments like ketchup and mustard. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this part of North Carolina.

Great getaway

This rental is everything it says and shows plus a whole lot more. It's literally a home away from home. So much to do around there. Really enjoyed our stay. Pete & Bambi are wonderful and thoughtful hosts!!

Great stay

Had a great stay, everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. Owners were very helpful. The place had everything we needed and more ! Great place to get away, our child loved watching the horses and even fed them one morning! We will be back!

Unique in a Good Way

This apartment was unique, charming, comfortable, and very clean. It was bigger than I expected. It was peaceful and quiet. But the view from the balcony was the big winner! Horses and pastures all around. We even enjoyed the resident dogs, tuxedo cat, and some deer that wandered into one of the pastures. The owners were delightful to talk to. I only wish we had stayed in more to watch the horses but our schedule was full with sights to see and things to do.

Great stay on a working horse farm

Wonderful property built above a barn. Soaring ceilings, well furnished, very comfortable, meticulously clean, great deck, wonderful views all in a spectacular location near Brevard, Asheville, and Hendersonville and all the great outdoor amenities and shopping in the area. Owners were wonderful as well with great and lightning fast communications. Lots of really nice touches in the property. Everything you need for a great and comfortable stay. Highly recommend and how to stay again!!!

Nice retreat

The apartment above the horse barn was well-appointed and comfortable for all. We were very close to our family in Fletcher, and the kids (and adults) enjoyed being near to the horses.

Excellent Stay. Great Place

Close enough to - and away enough from - all the things my friend and I wanted to do on our recent trip to the Asheville area - easy to get to Asheville, Black Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate and some tremendous hiking opportunities- waterfalls, vistas and gorgeous fall color. And then to come home to the horse farm and relax on the deck to watch the sunset and the horses. Pretty much the perfect spot. Our host and hostess were great and gave us a couple terrific restaurant recommendations. And it was great that we could have our dogs with us - they enjoyed it too

Simply wonderful

Our stay near Brevard was the perfect get away. The location, within easy driving to 3 mountainbiking areas, hiking, dining, and shopping; yet far enough removed from the hustle of town to be able to completely relax at night. The accomodations; perfect: clean, inviting, spacious, quiet, well thought out. We all loved our stay and would love to come back to this heavenly slice of earth near Brevard. Hidden gem

Relaxing, Beautiful and serene

We had an absolute relaxing experience staying here. Bambi and Pete were absolutely sweet and generous to us all. The rental is clean and gorgeous inside and out and the horses were a terrific add on. Short drive to Asheville to get a little city life and walk around to various shops and bars if needed. We will be staying again without a doubt!

Quiet, serine location

We truly enjoyed our stay above the horse barn. Upon arrival, the farm was well organized and clean. As a former animal health pharma rep, I am used to going to farms with the fresh farm smells but this one didn’t. My family even confirmed it as they are not used to it. The apartment was well organized, spacious and very clean. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The host greeted us upon arrival and was very pleasant. If we are in the area again, we will definitely look for availability for this location.
