Mail Legacy Cottage is ready to welcome visitors to South Haven's famous North Shore Drive! Vacation homes along this road have more family vacation stories than any other neighborhood, and this gem is finally available to share.

Located on famous North Shore Drive, Newcome Beach Access, and Oak Street Beach are within walking distance. The Michigan Maritime Museum, Captain Lou's, and the drawbridge on the Black River are a fifteen minute walk. North Siders know the best places to pick up snacks (North Side Memories), Starbucks coffee (Bunde's Bakery), and gear for water-based fun (Outpost Sports).

The cottage has a large, open space for the dining, kitchen, and living rooms with a large center island. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for preparing quick snacks or family meals so you can enjoy every bit of your getaway. The back yard will be a hit, with a large patio for dining & enjoying the firepit, plus a big grassy yard. There's an assortment of beach chairs, yard games and other fun games to enjoy while staying at Mail Legacy Cottage. The front bedroom has one queen bed, the back bedroom has a bunk bed with full over full size mattresses, and bathroom with a large shower.

My pups and me celebrating my 70th

Older, small home. Very, very clean! A lot of cute decor. Totally love the location, area and walkability. Home needs repairs to front railing and an outdoor porch light in front. Beds should have blankets this time of year. Kitchen and dining area were very nice and clean. Queen bed would look more finished with even a cheap headboard. Sofa not comfortable. We did enjoy the stay!

We just wanted to get away to water and sand for a long weekend and we got what we wanted. We were very close to the beach (we weren’t prepared for how beachy it really was so we’ll be ready next time!). Our home was very nice-the only downside was the very small bathroom. We will certainly come back. ’

Fun in the sun

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean property. The backyard is ample and great for our fur baby. They have every amenity you could imagine. Both a Keurig and regular coffee maker. The beach closest to the property has no facilities and has a small public access but was lovely. The walk into town is doable and we enjoyed the neighborhood. Very safe neighborhood. Taste is our favorite restaurant downtown.

Short walk to several beaches in downtown.

Location, location, location… If you like the beach, this is in walking distance to several and right across from Lake Michigan. We were able to walk downtown to eat and shop with in 15 minutes. The backyard was a plus for our fur babies. We would stay here again.

Summer getaway

Wonderful little house next to public beach access on the north side of South Haven. We rented a golf cart so it made zipping around town super easy given the house’s location. Nice kitchen full of amenities gave us the option to stay-in for dinner if the restaurants were full. Loved everything about our summer trip and will recommend this property to all those interested!

Fantastic Lake Michigan Rental

The location is perfect. The beds and linen superior. Storage space for clothing everywhere. Everything we needed to cook was right there in the kitchen just like at home. The backyard is huge. The neighborhood is quiet. The house looks like it was just freshly painted. The couch was one of the most comfortable size in a rental. A######

Nice quiet stay

Great location for daily or evening walks along the lake. Easy and short walk into town if didn’t want to drive. Felt right at home with neighbors. Nice and clean home. Pup loved the back yard and bonus the lead already set up for him to enjoy backyard and watch the squirrels. Would recommend if in the area for place to stay.

Great rental and location

Super cute house with an amazing kitchen and easy beach access. We truly enjoyed our stay here. The walk to town is about 20m but very nice through the neighborhood. There is public beach access just across the street. We had trouble getting connected to WiFi but the owner was VERY responsive and we quickly got it figured out with no problems the rest of our stay. We'll definitely stay here again... perfect for a couple or even two couples or a small family. So glad we found this and look forward to returning!
