Deer Ridge Lodge - Quick access to Ski Slopes

Ideal location that allows you to enjoy Angel Fire and all the activities that are in the area. Less than a 5 minute drive to the slopes and most restaurants and amenities. Wildlife watching in the front yard or off the back deck while you enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening (the kids will love watching the deer). Our home is set up perfectly for families to enjoy. Newly remodeled with fresh paint and new flooring throughout, new kitchen appliances, plus so much more. You can enjoy a cool winter evening while stoking the wood burning fireplace and peaking outside the wall of windows that overlook the Angel Fire slopes. The views are breathtaking! During the winter months, come and enjoy the family friendly slopes and beauty of winter in the mountains. If you are into biking and hiking, you have an ideal location to take advantage of those activities during the spring and summer (Note: there is a garage storing skis and gear). And don't forget about golf as Angel Fire Country Club has an amazingly scenic course just 5 minutes away. Or just come and enjoy the cool mountain climate to get away anytime during the year.

Angel Fire New Years" Get Away

Lovely home in Angel Fire

We really enjoyed our stay during a long weekend! Close to Angel Fires major attractions but backs up against a trail leading into the forest. House was clean, comfortable for everyone in our family and we enjoyed waking up to the deer camping out in the front and back yards. Would definitely stay here again!

Convenient Location/Perfect Accommodations

The location was perfect! We were able to easily move around Angel Fire, Red River and Taos. The home was wonderful and roomy for all five of us. Host was super helpful (and patient) with my numerous questions about activities in the area. Would definitely come back!

Angel Fire gem!!!

Our first trip to ski at Angel Fire and we found this amazing house on VRBO! It met all of our needs for our family and was absolutely fantastic! Ben was super helpful and responsive to us and made our stay so easy! We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you again to Ben for making our vacation great!

Deer grazing in the front yard

Great getaway place for our family. Walking distance to Lowe's grocery plus a few of the local restaurants. And a short drive to the ski base. Also took advantage of the adjacent hiking trails. And you just can't beat having deer coming through the front yard!

Perfect family cabin

This house was perfect for our family and my sister’s family. Just across the road from the ski resort, it was so cozy, comfortable and well stocked. The owner was communicative, warm and welcoming. The deer really do come up the house - it was magical! Would return in a heartbeat.

The Best Mountain Experience!

House was cozy, and beautiful! The deer came to eat right out of our hand a couple times a day! It snowed most of the time and sledding in back was wonderful! The owner was very accommodating and helped with any question we had. Highly recommend!

Comfy & Convenient

The property is very convenient to the resort and surrounding activities. It's delightfully rustic, totally comfortable and spacious enough for hanging out even with several people doing different things. The deer stroll through the yard and the dog across the street is a total clown. Would definitely come back.

Memorial Day Weekend in Angel Fire

Deer Ridge Lodge was a perfect home base for a 3 generation get-together! Grandparents spent quality time with one year-old and pups while "young folk" hit the mountain bike trails at Angel Fire. The home is very clean, comfortable and convenient to the ski area. We enjoyed sitting on the decks and taking in the views from the panorama windows. We had take out pizza from Angel Fired and met the mountain bikers at El Jefe for their lunch breaks. Everyone wants to to it again!

Outstanding!

Such a wonderful stay at Deer Ridge Lodge. The lodge was fantastic and was plenty big enough for 2 families. We had a blast! Huge kitchen and bedrooms and heaps of linen and towels. The roomy kitchen had every utensil you could think of!!! Ben and family had thought of everything. Sledges in the garages for tons of fun in the back slopey and spacious land behind. The views from the lodge are just breathtaking. Location is a short drive to the free open air car parks where there is a shuttle waiting to take you right to the lift pass office/chair lift or you can get a designated driver in the group to drive you all the way up to the turning circle, drop skiiers off right by chair lifts and park. In heavy snow some planning may be required to dig car out and chains may be useful if you don't have a 4 wheel drive as the lodge is located on a side road but there are snow shovels and after two days of snow we managed well getting to the slopes in our Chrysler pacifica - there was a little breath holding involved! The lodge contributes to a magical holiday with friends and family, in a stunning location with great skiing. We loved it!
