Booking 2025! Stay at Lucky Break-on the beach & fully renovated!

Lucky Break is Kill Devil Hills' newly renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom oceanfront condo. Located near milepost 7 in the heart of the town. Additional photos can be found on FB Lucky Break OBX. This condo is the sister condo to Sweet Carolina KDH (VRBO # 1932495). The owners are seasoned hosts that maintain a 5 Star rating on their properties.

This condo is close to many places. Movies, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping areas, mini golf, outlet mall, fishing pier, Jockey's Ridge, Wright National Memorial and Air Museum and so much more! You can also explore the surrounding areas to visit the aquarium, marinas and lighthouses.

Lucky Break is a spacious condo that is less expensive than an oceanfront hotel room half its size. It has panoramic views of the ocean throughout the unit. Any closer to the ocean and you would be in the water.

Lucky Break is a first floor end unit in a quiet oceanfront community. There are 2 private bedrooms each with their own king sized bed and linens provided at an additional cost. The condo has 3 flat screen TVs for your viewing pleasure. There is a balcony with high top chairs overlooking the ocean to enjoy your morning coffee and a beautiful sunrise. There is a large community pool on site.

Lucky Break was remodeled in 2022 with beautiful luxury flooring, new furniture throughout, a new kitchen with gorgeous granite counter tops and a coffee bar. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a gourmet meal.

Fair, some what hard to see over dunes and painters were everywhere and covered our windows with plastic, could not open master bedroom for sea breeze on the nice dayPainters all over our windows and deck had to shut blinds, one window in kitchen had no blind and I had to hang one of our sheets over it because they were looking straight in. They worked from 7:30 am till sometime around 10:30 pm All the unit numbers were taken down so it was really hard to check in and no property manager ever was there, so we climbed up and down stairs picking up numbers to see where we were!Painters were there working on Thanksgiving and we had gone out for dinner, came back and they were painting our front door and we tried to talk the language to explain to leave and he translated by his phone, then he stood there watching my husband trying to put code in and then my husband asked him to back off and then to make matters worse, my husband got paint on his nice jacket. We called the owner, she said she was not aware of the painting schedule so then she called someone and we were told they had to leave, well, they didn’t they continued through our stay. We were going to leave but my husband said he thought it was in control, we should have left!It proceeded to continue, showers never could get any warm water and I seriously could pee faster than the pressure we had, it was insane. Then cold came and we froze inside sitting with bed quilts do to controlled thermostat. Baths not clean goo

Great property with a very responsive host. Long weekend with another couple and it did not disappoint. We found everything to be in good order, as described in the positive reviews. Older condo property but this unit was well renovated and modern. Kitchen was well equipped. Decently glimpses of the ocean, even from a first floor unit. We will definitely be back!

Such a gorgeous and comfortable condo! We loved the location and ease of traveling throughout OBX. The kitchen was very well stocked. The beds were comfortable and so were the couches. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. The owners were AMAZING and very responsive. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay!!

Great Stay at Lucky Break!

This condo is clean, comfortable, and with a well stocked kitchen. Being on the first floor made access to the beach and pool easier on us old folks. My 3 year old grandson thoroughly enjoyed the kiddie pool. ( He is at the age that the waves have become scary to him.) We were delivered a set of queen sheets rather than king and were not aware until 8:00. We contacted Jocely and received the correct size within 45 minutes. You don't get that quick response from realty companies! You can see the ocean but not the shore due to the size of the dune. My husband was disappointed by that but the photos are accurate. The condo complex is centrally located and close to Publix and Food Lion. I would rent this unit again in a heartbeat but our family is growing and we will need a 3 bedroom next year.

Family Vacation w/Wife and Son

Incredible experience vacationing in Outer Banks. Property was excellent and was as advertised in the listing. Very convenient for beach access and proximity to stores/restaurants/things to do. Overall cleanliness, appliances, and amenities all met expectations. While the view of the beach is partially obstructed by the dunes, this was an undersold feature of this property. We loved watching/listening to waves crash in while enjoying breakfast or evening drinks from the balcony. The beds were not the most comfortable, but a small complaint in contrast to what was otherwise a fantastic experience.

Beach Birthday!

Lucky Break was just the right spot for our small family's birthday getaway. The property was freshly renovated, super clean, and right on the ocean. It was close to all the things we wanted to do during the day and a great place to land in the evenings. Hosts were responsive and helpful.

First fall time visit to OBX

Our stay was amazing- it was even nicer than the pictures showed it to be. We enjoyed the balcony being right on the beach-watched the sun rise every morning, could hear the waves and enjoy our coffee or have a cocktail in the evening and relax. It was close to restaurants and sightseeing. We had only gone to OBX in the summer, but fall is just as nice! Will definitely book again.

Nicely renovated property

This was a great first floor end unit, great kitchen, newly renovated. Beds, however, were not good, and we did not sleep well. Mattresses need upgrading, and linens need to fit and feel better. Other than that, the property was clean, in a good location, and we enjoyed it.

Beautiful, clean, homey and spacious

Lovely location! So close to EVERYTHING to make for a wonderful family vacation! Plenty of room for our family of 4 adults and 2 young kids. We especially appreciated access to laundry facilities and detergent provided by host! For longer stays, plan to pack additional bath and beach towels. Great hosts, beautiful clean beach overall an awesome family vacation!

Convenience and well updated

Location is perfect. Easy to get in and out of OBX, close to amenities. The hosts did a fantastic job updating this unit, clean and bright! We cooked every meal for the week, the kitchen was well equipped. This is a hidden gem in a larger dated complex. Areas for improvement... The beds. The foam mattresses were worn out, felt like sleeping on a deep bowl. With the overstuffed pillows it was not ideal. The dune in front of the unit does block the view of the beach. If you are tall you can see the waves while standing. This did not detract from our visit as we could hear the waves and see just enough. We would definitely stay again, most convenient location for a family with small kids. Pool and playground were perfect for when ouele toddler was tired of the beach.
