Door County is one of our family's favorite places to be together & explore. Our cleverly designed intimate cottage is close to 2 beautiful parks-Cave Point & Whitefish Dunes. They are a good long walk away or a short bike ride away. Jacksonport is a couple miles north of the cottage & can be a fun place to enjoy a cup of coffee, watch the sunrise at the park or take a kayak tour of the lakeshore.
Biking is one of our favorite things to do in Door County--all 4 of the state parks have incredible spots to bike/hike & cross country ski in the winter.
It can be enjoyed in any season with a woodstove inside. Bring books & cross country skis in the winter & warm up by the woodstove or enjoy family time exploring one of the nearby parks or swimming in the Great Lake Michigan in the summertime.
Gather around the outdoor chiminea for s'mores in the evening & listen to the waves as you watch the stars come out.

We are proud and thankful to have the best professional cleaning service prepare our cottage in between stays as that is an important piece of hosting to us.

Although our location is close to numerous places and spots to explore, we think you can be perfectly content with our cheery cottage that offers beauty & activity--inside & out. The little loft area is perfect for a reader, writer or napper in your midst! There's a work table and lamp if you need a fresh work space.

Work or play...it's a true refuge for any weary heart or eager explorer!

Beautiful property located on Lake Michigan with the best sunrises in a quiet neighborhood. The cottage is very cozy, quaint, clean, and well-decorated as described by others. We give the location, cleanliness, and quaintness of the cottage a 10 The owners did a wonderful job decorating and maintaining this beautiful property! Overall, we think this is an excellent place to stay as a couple or with smaller children, but maybe not as great with 4 adults (we felt a little cramped for our seven day stay - the bedrooms are small with no closets but there are hooks and benches to place luggage). We would be excited about bringing a larger group to rent the blue cottage or both cottages next time! We loved the convenience of the location close to Cave Point Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park for the beach, walking, biking, and hiking. Also, the town of Jacksonport, just a couple miles up the road from the cottage offers a great park and playground, Farmer's Market on Tuesdays, some restaurants, a grocery market, a coffee shop and kayak outfitters. Also, such an easy drive from the cottage to explore all of Door County. We enjoyed our time and hope to be back soon!

The cabin was just perfect for the two of us. It was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning was great! The location was the best! It was a 10 second walk from the cottage to the lake and you could see the lake from the cottage and hear the sound of the waves. The breeze off the lake kept the mosquitoes at bay so we could sit in the chairs at the edge of the lake and be quite comfortable.

We loved how clean, cozy and quaint the cabin was, so many details to make our stay comfortable! We loved how quiet, peaceful and relaxing the cabin and yard were. Cozy get away

Wonderful Stay!

This precious cottage was a perfect stay for me and my mom. I highly recommend it and would stay here again! The view including the sunrises was amazing and we loved being so close to the water. This was our first time to Door County and probably won't be the last. It's a wonderful area and we enjoyed all the little towns and driving on the relaxing and calming backroads - great getaway from city life hustle and bustle! So glad we did this trip and didn't want to leave, a special place indeed!

Cottage charm

We've been coming to Door County off and on for almost 40 years, so we knew the location would be wonderful, in the trees, on the lake, on a wooded road leading to great biking and hiking. But this place! First, the cottage was the perfect size, now that it's just two of us. And then...The design! The quality! The decor! The pristine clean! The shed for our bikes! The lovely outdoor space on the lake. The big and small touches everywhere! Just charming. Everything we needed for our week in Door County. Thanks, Becca!

Serene Surroundings

Loved the location on Lake Michigan! Spent a lot of time in the chairs by the water taking in the peacefulness- listening to the birds and critters. One daughter and husband braved the fairly cold water temps to go floating - quite shallow for quite a ways out. Fire chimney was also fun to enjoy in the evening. Used the grill to make lunch two days and sat at the picnic table to enjoy the view. The inside space has everything you need for a weekend or week-long stay. Pictures represented the space perfectly - super cute! Only regret was bringing too much stuff from home as space is limited. Didn’t realize until looking under the bed as we were packing up that there was a luggage rack under there :) We also enjoyed the cottage location - close to so many great places to explore in Door County. Thank you to the host Becca for excellent communication prior to our trip answering all my questions.

Twins' tale

My mother rented this property for us and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. This was our first Vrbo stay in Wisconsin and everything went off without a hitch. I am her daughter and I would really like to come back again when the weather is warmer, but we still had a fantastic time. The thunderstorms which rolled in on our second night there were really something.

Winter Getaway!

This was the perfect winter getaway. We were lucky to get snow on our first day which made the whole experience magical. The lake is just a few feet away & had a breath taking view. We enjoyed sitting on the couch while having the fire going and listening to the waves. I would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake even more. The location was perfect, it’s within 10 mins of major stores and for the longer drives we had very scenic roads. We loved having access to a stove and fridge since we wanted to cook a few meals ourselves. I would 100% recommend this place!

A Taste Of Heaven

Our stay at the cottage was quiet, picturesque and beautiful. The cottage was so warm, cozy and comfortable. The sunrises were amazing and the wood burning stove was an added extra. We enjoyed many hikes and walks in Door County and the bars and restaurants were all excellent. Everyone that we met in the area and surrounding areas were very friendly. The scenery was awesome. We cannot say enough about this "Taste of Heaven. Serenity and nature and peace is what this stay meant to us.

Can’t wait to come back!

From the great communication with the property, owner, Becca, to the location and actual cabin.. we were blown away. The little red cabin is so cute, clean, and charmingly Cozy! We loved it. It was a perfect getaway for my husband and I with our new baby boy. Waking up looking at the water and hearing the calm sound of the waves was my favorite part. You cannot be this location and the views— also was an easy drive to every place we visited, plus we really enjoyed the privacy of this lot. The only thing we wish the house had that it did not was closets in the bedrooms, even a small one would have nice. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us. All the other well thought out details more than made up for it! Thank you- we hope to come back one day.

Late September stay

Our family loves the beautiful Wisconsin parks & often camped in Door County as our kids grew. We also love vintage cottage charm but wanted to provide conveniences of modern life with the feel of relaxing surroundings. We have found great refreshment in the summer swimming & many activities in each surrounding communities & we've also found refueling of our souls in the snowfall with a fire going & good books to read. Our hope is that this spot can provide others with the gift of togetherness, memories, adventures & blessings so hearts return home full.

We love the hustle of all the shops & artists on the Bay side of Door County but, are most refreshed by the 'quiet side' on Lake Michigan--known for the quiet water activity that we enjoy most--kayaking, swimming, paddleboarding & reading by the waterside.

So to be on Lake Michigan is a stunning gift! One we want to share! The location is optimal for staying in and enjoying activities & togetherness but, also close to beautiful parks, great restaurants, horse back riding & lighthouse exploring! We consider ourselves very blessed to be in our beautiful spot & share it with joy!
