My wife and I plus another couple plus a friend of ours stayed at this cozy place the second weekend in March. The office, which is on the main road of Beech Mountain left clear directions and a map as to how to find the actual unit. It was easy to find and it is located on the second floor. I loved how cozy and quaint if felt. It was right behind sled hill on top of the mountain. It is just a few minute walk to some of the stores and a restaurant plus Fred's Mercantile. The heat was a little weird turning on at first but we figured it out- no complaints, just an observation. We were warm once everything was on. It is an end unit so we had a little veranda to walk out on. The place was very clean when we arrived and overall, the sofa and bed were comfortable. The only thing I did not like but it didn't necessarily have anything to do with the unit (?) is that there was a bag of trash left in front of our door when we got there. We were there for just one night but we had to take it down to the dumpster, which was a bit of a walk. It was placed in such a way that it could have been the people who stayed there before us or it could have been the neighbor's.It is definitely a place I would recommend and also I would return to. The price was fair for the location and access to Beech Mountain Ski Resort as well as other places. We arrived to the office after hours and their communication was great as to how to get to the place. Just pay attention to the GPS because ours led us to a wrong place. Part of this was driver's error and part of this is GPS error. The office is located on top of the mountain. If you find yourself going down hill for any length of time, especially getting close to the ski slope entrance itself, you have missed it.
