Charming Mid-century modern Lakefront, 4-bedroom, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 11 in beds. Large Great Room with sprawling sectional, wood burning fireplace and large windows overlooking the lake.

Well equipped kitchen with an open layout and a separate dining room opens to a large deck with BBQ and gazebo…all overlooking the lake😊.

Brand new game room with a Ping Pong table, 3 arcade machines, large TV with X box, Occulis and more.

Lakeside deck and dining, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, dock to jump into the lake or swim from the shore. Large yard with outdoor games, life jackets, fire pit, brand new hot tub and new outdoor furniture.
Swinging Bridge is a large, beautiful lake home to a bald eagle sanctuary. The house is very private but close to highways, and attractions like Bethel Woods, Kartrite Indoor water park and Resorts World Casino.
We also own the two houses next door and combined a total of 16 bedrooms. See property number 9347299 and 9372380 both with great reviews!

I just had the most amazing, relaxing, and beautiful weekend at this lake house! The peaceful lake views, cozy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches made it the perfect getaway. Evenings were magical sitting around the fire pit under the stars, laughing and unwinding with friends. It was everything I needed and more. I truly can’t wait to come back!

This house is amazing! I love the cozy decor and it’s so well maintained- and the activities- Hot tub, ping pong, corn hole, swings- I love the closed in porch- and it’s like the predicted exactly where someone would want to “sit” “lounge” or “eat”

Mother’s Day weekend serenity at the lake

Mother day weekend was perfection. House, location, weather we’re a 10. We had an amazing getaway at this hidden gem of a lake house in the beautiful Mongaup Valley, right on Swinging Bridge Lake. The vibes? Total serenity. Think misty mornings over the water, afternoons by the fire pit, with magical sunsets. This house is a prime spots for any bird enthusiasts, between the Blue Herons and the Bald Eagles. The house itself was super clean, spacious, and full of cozy, rustic charm. Big shoutout to the well-stocked kitchen (we cooked up a storm!) and the deck with its killer lake views—perfect for morning coffee or evening grill sessions.On Saturday, we hit some nearby trails and grabbed lunch in Livingston Manor (The Kaatskeller) - such a cute spot!If you're dreaming of a chill lake escape in the Catskills, this place should definitely be on your list. We can’t wait to come back, for a longer stay.

Great family getaway

We were in need of a much-needed escape. A chance to recharge and step away from the nonstop hustle and bustle of the daily grind. This place turned out to be everything we hoped for and more! It truly felt like a home away from home. Cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together.One of the biggest highlights was its location. Just a short 5-minute drive to a fantastic indoor water park, it added an extra layer of fun and excitement to our getaway. Whether we were relaxing indoors or heading out for some adventure, everything about this trip was just what we needed! Highly recommend!

Another wonderful weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway!The location was fantastic, right on the private lake with kayaks to enjoy. The house itself was very comfortable with everything you could ever need--comfy beds and pillows, towels for hot tub, beautiful lake views and an awesome game room for the kids!Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy everything the house has to offer. Would absolutely love to stay again in the future

Beautiful lake, charming house, fun for all

Our family so enjoyed our vacation at this property. We had different ideas of things to do in the area, but once we settled in, we hardly wanted to leave. The house had a quaint retro vibe which was the perfect place to come back to relax after lake fun filled days in the backyard. We had read that the lake was having some water level and algae issues this season, but it did not us from diving right in. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks provided by the owners, and even enjoyed swimming in the water. We brought along some tubes and fishing gear which added to the fun! My personal highlight - a quite morning coffee on the deck by the lake. We definitely hope to be back here soon!

Nightmare in Bethel!

Upon entering the house, the smell hit you immediately! We thought it just needed to be opened up, no it never left. I set my 15 year-old mini dachshund down who turned to the right and walked into, what I assumed was a bedroom. No, it was an unlit basement staircase. I almost fell down them myself trying to find the light switch. All we heard was thud, thud, thud as she fell down the staircase. By some miracle she survived with a split lip. We closed the door to find a sign on the other side stating there was a dangerous staircase, thank you for leaving the door open. The upstairs shower didn't drain. I was standing in ankle deep water with a brown shower curtain. We had to plunge it to get it to drain. The basement had mold two feet up the walls in the bedroom. My son had to sleep upstairs on the couch because he couldn't breathe down there. The downstairs bathroom sink drain was broken and laying by the faucet. There were no top sheets on the single beds upstairs. We take our shoes off and the floors were covered in sand and dirt. We had to sweep the entire house. The reservoir water was green sludge that smelled like sewer. No one was in the water anywhere around us either. We tried to kayak but it was disgusting. We have rented houses for family vacation for years and this was the most disgusting ever. Very sad for what seemed to have been a beautiful home at one point. This was supposed to be a family healing vacation after losing my husband, their father in March.

A perfect weekend!

I invited a bunch of friends for a birthday weekend and we had the absolute best time! The house really lent itself to a great weekend. There was never a dull moment. people were playing video games, ping-pong, or just chilling in the hot tub. And when we were all chilling together, there was more than enough space in the living room for everyone to be comfy. The bedrooms were perfect and fit everyone. Also, all my friends told me that the comforters are super comfy! 10/10 weekend! will be staying here again :)

Beautiful Spot!

This well kept home is perfectly situated on Swinging Bridge lake. The views, lake access, private dock, beach, and sitting areas set us up for an amazing time. Just two hours from NYC, you cannot find a better lakefront option like this! We came with our children and grandchildren and the home was a perfect set up for all. The lake is great for swimming right off the dock, kayaking and paddleboarding (included in the house) and boating (there is a local marina for renting boats to tube, ski or just cruise around) and fishing. The weather was perfect so we spent the days outside on the lake or sitting in the many areas that captured the incredible scenery, even a screened in porch! Inside, the home is well stocked and both the sheets and towels are new and soft. The kitchen has anything you can think of and the owners are generous with including garbage bags, paper towels, and the items needed for more than a 24 hour stay (we have all stayed in that place that provides a single garbage bag for a home that sleeps 10...not here!) Big screen televisions, clean grill with propane, and a new hot tub! The basement is heaven for kids - video games (the OG type), games, activities The manager is welcoming and attentive and totally available for any question or drive-by assistance if needed. He made both check in and check out super easy as well (again, a great experience in this home, unlike others). we can't wait to return. Owner has other homes if more space is needed too.

Amazing lake front with tons of fun!

The house was perfect for our family (and extended family who rented a neighboring property). Beautiful lake front with dock, kayaks, paddle board meant lots of water time. And when we weren’t in the water - we were eating community meals on the massive deck table or playing ping pong or arcade games in the basement! We will definitely be back !

Perfect lake house

Fun and relaxing! House is decorated so nicely! Upstairs is just what you would expect from a cozy lake house (nice wood paneling, open floor plan, comfortable living room and clean bedrooms) and the downstairs is perfect for teens (video games, bunk beds, ping pong and private access to hot tub). Lake is peaceful and serene, perfect for using kayaks and paddle board or fishing off the dock. Outdoor dining tables can fit a dozen people easily! Roasting marshmallows by the fire pit is the icing on the cake! Wonderful property!

Great for family too

Booked this home for a surprise 50th bday for my husband- just our immediate family. Had a great time. House was as described. Loved the mid-century feel. Game room was a hit. Loved sitting by the water, the kayaks, evening bonfires. Perfect family spaces. Only set back from our perspective is it was close proximity to other lake houses/rentals. Thought it would be a little more private. Other than that great stay and Craig (property mgr) was super responsive when I reached out. Very professional.

Wonderful lakefront house

A very nice lakefront house. We enjoyed the water for fishing and with the kayaks/row boat provided. The lake gets kind of rowdy with speed boats and jet skis during the day but quiets down nicely towards the evening. The game room and the hot tub were a nice bonus. Plank Rd is a dead end so makes a nice few miles for a bike ride. Thanks for hosting us. We hope to come back again soon.

Quiet spot with great water access

My husband and I took our 4 kids and one friend (ages 3-12) here for a few days. The water access is great - small/calm enough for the kids to take the kayaks out on their own. The hot tub was nice and the kids enjoyed the game room. It was great to be able to bring our dog too. It was offseason so the area was very quiet. Communication with the host was excellent - super responsive and helpful. The home is definitely older - a lot of original elements and dated in parts but it was clean and well maintained.

Great Cabin!

We had a wonderful time celebrating my son’s birthday. The cabin is wonderfully equipped and the kids had a great time. Quiet area with loads to experience on the lake. The mid century feeling is a nice touch along with a wonderful extra large couch!

Lakefront Gem!

The home is spacious and smartly decorated in a mid-century modern style. The extra amenities in this home, such as hot tub, karaoke machine, VR oculus, ping pong table, and arcade/video games, really enhanced our enjoyment. Communication with Craig with great. Visited original Woodstock site, hiked Neversink Gorge, and ate/drank at some really nice local eateries/breweries. The home was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Spent the weekend here with a group of friends and it was the perfect location. Enough beds and boats for everyone to enjoy. Would definitely come back here.

Everything we needed

We had such a wonderful stay at this VRBO-the property had everything we could have wanted and the cabinets were stocked with everything we needed. We had fun indoors and outdoors and found the living room to be an especially cozy spot to spend our time together talking, playing games, and listening to music on the smart TV. The dining room had an amazing view over the water and the shore and fit all 11 of us comfortably. The kids could not get enough of the game room and the karaoke machine, and the adults loved playing all of the yard games that were available in the spacious outdoor shed where there were ample life jackets and plenty of water equipment. The jacuzzi was a fun bonus and we even had fun making S’mores at the fire pit. An abundance of clean linens in all of the closets was appreciated. We would definitely come back to this exact same spot for our next big celebration!

We are the proud new owners of this great property. After staying 4 summers ago down the road we fell in love with Swinging Bridge Lake and all that it offers. We also own two houses directly next door with another 7 bedrooms and 5 bedrooms giving you the opportunity to have 16 lakefront bedrooms and enjoy all properties at once.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The Hudson Valley and foothills of the Catskills offer a wide variety of outdoor adventures, scenic vistas and culinary experiences. The Lakehouse is situated just minutes from the world-renowned Bethel Woods concert venue, Monticello Raceway, Mind Body and Spirit massage and yoga retreat center (ask about in home treatments). The house is only a 90 min drive from NYC and an hour's drive from Stewart International Airport.

Our house offers such a wide a variety of recreational experiences one could simply stay within the limits of the house, yard and lake. For those who care for motorized lake sports the far end of the lake has 2 marinas. There is also much to be seen in and around the region and always something to be left for the return trip to our lakefront paradise. Hudson river walkway, Mohonk Mountain Preserve, Minnewaska hiking trails and many other historic places are within an hour's drive. Other attractions include Resorts World, Bethel Woods, Kartrite Water Park, and Lego land.
